Another day, another match, Cecilia thought as she stood in the locker room, taking a few stretches in front of the mirror as she worked on getting herself psyched up. Truth be told, she thought to herself, she was almost getting bored of stomping all over everyone in her path. Not that she minded, of course, knowing that she was always the best, but after a while the sameyness of it all could wear on her. Maybe, she thought to herself, once she had some time to cement herself as a force to be reckoned with, people would start to pay her the respect she deserved. It was about time these bitches knew who they were up against and how afraid they should be, the brunette thought to herself with a scowl as she spat into the sink.

Apparently, this next opponent they had lined up for her had made a name for herself in other leagues, enough for the fans to be excited already. Cecilia could hear them chanting from the arena already - and the thought of it made her scowl, as she threw a kick at the wastebasket just to vent her negative energy. Then, though, she had a devious thought. Perhaps, if she could thoroughly trounce the fans' darling in front of them, that might get them to start acknowledging her superiority. A grin came to her face, as she considered how this might be her time to shine after all. Now all she could do was wait.

"And coming first to the ring, from Detroit, Michigan...CECILIA LOMBARD!!"

The call was out, and she was on. With a smirk on her face, Cecilia emerged on the entrance ramp in the center of a spotlight with her music playing. Standing tall and with a haughty look on her face, she made her way down the steps with her arms crossed, gazing out on the crowd as though she stood tall above them. With each step she took, another light came down to illuminate her path until she reached the ring, where she planted one hand on the apron before swinging herself upwards in a front flip and catching the top rope with her foot, then rolling into the ring proper. Finally rolling up to her feet, she took an elastic from her other hand and, as typical for her, tied her hair in a side ponytail before she stood tall and shot her gaze out around the crowd, waiting for the appearance of whoever dared to challenge her.

Megumi Mutoh was on the roll lately, with her going from one match to another, looking to build herself up and climbing her way up the ranks and cards in her bid for the gold. For tonight, she would be facing someone named Cecilia Lombard, a foreign girl who seemed to be making her name in LAW. Seeing this Cecilia as another one of her obstacles that she needed to overcome, the former Wrestle Angel was determined to win this match and mark another win in her record here in LAW.

Clad in her shoulderless, strapless red leotard, Megumi fixed her kneepads as she prepared herself for her entrance. Once her music, Golden Nocturne, was played, Megumi was already prepared before she stepped out into the stage, greeted by the resounding cheers of her fans who began chanting her name as she made her appearance. Feeling thankful for all the supports, Megumi raised an arm as she jogged down the ramp, heading over to the ring where her opponent was waiting for her.

"And now, coming to the ring... The Genius One, the Wrestle Angel... coming from Shizuoka, Japan... MEGUMI MUTOH!!!"

Feeling a little sheepish upon being called the Wrestle Angel by the announcer, as she believed that there were those who were more worthy of the title, like Mighty Yukiko or Thunder Ryuko, Megumi walked down the ramp before she finally arrived at the ring. She climbed up the apron before slipping through the ropes, entering the ring.

As soon as she entered the ring, she headed over to one of the corners, climbing up the turnbuckle to rouse the crowd some more, and the crowd chanted her name. Smiling in satisfaction as she knew that the crowd were behind her, she climbed down the turnbuckle before she looked at her opponent, Cecilia.

"I hope you know what you're getting into..." Megumi spoke to Cecilia, placing her hands on her hips as she looked at her. "Give me your best if you ever wish to stand a chance against me..." she said confidently. Despite her humble and slightly antisocial demeanor, Megumi wasn't known for her modesty when it comes to her wrestling prowess.

As Megumi entered the ring, Cecilia stood across from her, crossing her arms as she looked up at the veteran wrestler mounting the turnbuckle to the applause of the stadium. Just the thought of it made her sick, and it showed on her scowling face as her fingers coiled tighter into her arms. They should by all means have been chanting for her, Cecilia thought! Whoever this loser was, she was hogging the spotlight that Cecilia deserved - even getting a special callout in her introduction, seriously? - and she simply couldn't have that. She knew that something had to be done.

She met Megumi's boasts with a low hiss, her gaze narrowing. No matter how prestigious her career might have been before, this was LAW - and although Cecilia was still making her mark, she knew it was her ring. "Bah," she scoffed, "I hope you know what you're up against! I don't care who you are, or who they want...your true place is under my foot!"

Cecilia's retorts were already drawing boos from the crowd. But she was used to it, and, though not without a glower, she met it simply by rolling her neck from side to side around her shoulders to loosen up as well as in an attempt to intimidate her opponent. But then, she suddenly furrowed her brow and stepped closer. Before the bell even had a chance to ring and signal the opening of the match, Cecilia drew her fist back and threw a punch straight into Megumi's face, as the crowd grew even louder in jeering at her.

Whoever this Cecilia was, Megumi had surmised that she sure had a very huge chip on her shoulder. Well, whatever purpose she had in this ring at the moment, Megumi had decided that she would win this match, whether Cecilia liked it or not. And from what she could see, her opponent was certainly not the fan-favorite among the two of them.

With the bell hadn't been called, Megumi had lowered her guard, thinking that the actions wouldn't start before the bell was rung. But, Cecilia seemed to have a different idea as she suddenly launch a punch straight to her face, catching the Wrestle Angel off-guard.

"Guughh!!" Megumi's head recoiled back from the punch, and she staggered back. The ref immediately called the bell, starting the match right after that. As for Megumi, she was reeling from the punch, which left her open to more attacks from Cecilia. The only thing Megumi could do at the moment was trying to regain her bearing and recover as quickly as possible so that she could make Cecilia pay for the cheap shot she did to her.

The crowd may have turned against Cecilia - not to say they were ever on her side in the first place - but in that moment, the American girl couldn't care less. Seeing Megumi going stumbling back, Cecilia grinned wider, chuckling to herself softly under her breath. "Didn't see that coming, did you?" she said. But better yet than how she had managed to get the first blow in, Megumi was still stunned, reeling off of the sucker punch that had caught her completely by surprise. And that was just the way Cecilia wanted it.

As Megumi went reeling, Cecilia was quick to go after her, lowering herself to the ground and charging. She threw her arm out for a lariat, intent on taking Megumi to the ground, where she could inflict even further punishment. All the while, she let out just a soft little laugh. This was going to be fun.

Due to her still reeling from the punch, Megumi was unable to defend herself against whatever Cecilia would throw at her next. So, when Cecilia came to her with a lariat, Megumi was unable to duck under her arm in time, and she took the lariat into her neck, sending her tumbling down into the mat, her back hitting the canvas.

"Buagghhh!!!"

Momentarily left breathless, Megumi was in a bad spot at the moment. With her lower half hitting the mat soon after that, she brought her hands to her chest, cradling it as she writhed on the mat. Things didn't look good for the former Wrestle Angel at the moment.

"Gaaahhh... hnnghhh..."

Everything was looking up for Cecilia, as her attack landed just as she wanted it to, bringing Megumi off her feet and onto the mat. With her opponent lined up exactly as she wanted her, Cecilia enacted the next phase of her plan.

Swinging around behind the former Wrestle Angel, Cecilia fell to a sitting position. With one arm, she snared it around Megumi's throat, and the other closed around her face, putting her into a sleeperhold. And if that wasn't bad enough, Cecilia would also raise her legs to place them on either side of her opponent's waist before pressing down to apply pressure to Megumi's torso and diaphragm as well.

"Is that really the best you can do? My, and I heard you held a title at one point. How pathetic."

Left breathless thanks to all Cecilia's moves, Megumi was in a bad spot, and her opponent was quick to capitalize on this as she brought herself down and pulled Megumi into a sleeperhold. Not only that, she also had her legs around her torso before squeezing her, making breathing extremely difficult for the former Wrestle Angel.

"Hrgghhh... mmmghhh...!!"

Knowing that she was in grave danger, Megumi racked her brain, trying to find a solution for her predicament. She would prefer a simple solution in which she would bash her fist right into the face of Cecilia, smacking it a few times, hoping to get herself released from the hold.

Cecilia's hold locked in without a hitch, and her smile only grew wider as she thought about how she had Megumi at her mercy. If it would all be this easy, Cecilia thought to herself, then this match would hardly even be worth her time. At least the rush she would get from taking down a fan-favorite in front of a cheering crowd would make it all worth it. Seeing no reason to hold back now, Cecilia tightened her grasp, pulling back harder still on Megumi's head.

But Megumi still had some fight in her, even now, and the match was far from over. Though simple, Megumi's tactic was effective. A wave of pain and numbness went through Cecilia's head as her opponent's punch made its mark, followed by another and another. Soon, she was forced to release both parts of her two-pronged hold as she was bowled backwards onto her rear, groaning in pain.

Hitting Cecilia's face with her fist repeatedly, Megumi was then finally released from the sleeperhold, and despite her needing to take in some precious air, she didn't want to waste her time. Instead of taking her time to recover, she would quickly get into action as she would turn around, grabbing Cecilia by her head so that she could pull her up alongside her.

Once she got Cecilia on her feet, Megumi would try to deal some damage on her by delivering a forearm smash right into the side of her head, hoping that the strike would stagger her a little. Then she planned to finish up her combo with a spinning kick right into the side of her head, which she was certain would deal a huge amount of damage on her opponent.
