Legend of the Warrior Princess: The Saga of Fang: Episode Two

Episode Two: The Fight - Part Two

It would be about an hour before the Traveler would finally regain her senses. The armoured beauty awakened to fined herself confined in a separate cage. She was processing what was going on. The cage was small, but had just about enough room for her to get on her knees. She went to grip the "bars" of the cage. The wood was strong, but could be broken if she had room for momentum; which she did not for the moment. Of course there was the option of pressing on it as hard as possible, but that took time. Never mind the fact that she still felt weak after the fight with that Barbarian who managed to best her; that coupled with guards carrying her cage; they would be on top of her before she knew what to do next if she managed to escape.

"Look here, the woman has finally woken up from her beauty sleep." One barbarian said with a toothy grin; though half were missing.

"Well it was until I saw your ugly mug." The Traveler grunted out, sounding more annoyed than anything. The barbarian that spoken, and was spoken to by the Traveler then looked annoyed, "Consider yourself fortunate that the prince wants to lay claim to you personally."

"I'd say count yourself lucky then." The Traveler responded, "That just means you have a few more hours before you lose the remainder of your teeth."

"Why you bi-" the barbarian said, looking angry and ready to attack the Traveler, before another guard shouted: "Enough! You know what will happen if you lay a finger on her." The barbarian that threatened the Traveler sneered as he kept on walking.

The Traveler, would then look around, trying to to get an idea of where she was exactly, what happened to the villagers taken as slaves and also where she was being taken to.

The Traveller would find herself part of a small fleet of carts- all of which carry the other cages of villagers behind her. Lucky for her- she seemed to get a spot right at the front of the convoy. It seemed that they were on a man-made road inside of a cave- the path ahead of them illuminated by lit torches mounted on the rocky walls and support beams. At the front of the convoy was the Barbarian Prince who had bested the Traveler- who was quietly riding not a horse like some of the other Barbarians but instead a massive, furry Grizzly Bear. From the Traveller's point of view, she could only see the back of him as he did not acknowledge her despite the fact she was awake and talking.

The traveler noted the large bear that the Barbarian was riding on. She also noticed the lack of response from the Barbarian prince, despite him obviously hearing her voice; thus confirming that she was indeed conscious now. As she scanned her surroundings, she was wondering just where exactly she and the other prisoners were being taken too.

The Travel would get her answer soon enough as they exit the tunnel and emerged into a massive cavern. At the end of the road was a towering castle- one that history aged into its stones abd decorated with red banners that bore the flaming bear emblem; the banner of Ulfric Grizzeheim... the legendary king of the Barbarians. Most of the scenery to the Travelers left and right consisted of slaves, possibly from other raided villages, being put to work while having a whip cracked at them.

The caravan drew close to the castle where the gates would open, allowing everyone inside. With the sheer size of the castle courtyard there was easily enough room for the group as the Prince dismounted from the bear- another Barbarian gently taking the mount away to the stables as the Prince went to personally open the cage the Traveler was in.

"Ah, good. You're awake. Word of advice- I strongly recommend you stay on your best behavior. You're in the heart of our kingdom now. Besides- you're about to meet a king. Don't make a fool of yourself for a second time"

The Prince let a small amused smirk appear on his lips as he lightly jabbed the Traveler about the end result of their fight.

The Traveler heard the Barbarian speak to him, especially telling her to be on her "best behaviour" and not to "make a fool of herself a second time." She did not pay much mind, although she noticed where she hit him with the plank; as there may have been some bleeding and a bit of bruising.

"I don't know," the Traveler responded, "It seems like this "fool" left a little something on you." That was a light jab from her, which she smirked afterwards, indicating to the Barbarian that it was not so easy of a fight.

The Prince was bruise and bloody, this was true. He acted as such issues didn't bother him, however. He simply stared at the Traveler as she smirked at him before taking her bonds and leading her out of the cage and onto the cobblestone of the courtyard.

"You did. I won't deny that. I, however, didn't get myself thrown into a cage"

With a jab of his own returned to the traveler, the Prince yanked on her bonds to make her follow him- her hands bound tightly together with shackles on her ankles limiting her movements- a choice perhaps made based on the skillful kicks the traveler showed in the fight. The other captured villagers were led away to the side as it was only the Prince and the Traveler heading through the main doors; towering in height and requiring slaves to pull it open for the two.

"You might have noticed you are not being thrown in with the other prisoners to be put to work or... use. There is a reason for that. You will find out shortly as I present you to my father"

The Traveler did not respond to the "getting thrown in the cage" comment as she was nearing the courtyard. She soon felt herself getting pulled out by the chains latched onto her. She felt herself being led through the main doors, that were being opened by slaves, as she was observing what she was walking into.

"Hate to break it to you," The traveler said, not sounding impressed, "But there are obvious things that happen to a prisoner when they are separated from the rest." She was speaking, hiding any hints of past experiences of this situation.

"If you have been someone's prisoner before, then you must not be as skilled as I initially thought"

The Prince jabbed back at the Traveler as they soon reached a set of doors, the prince opening them to take them to a throne room. It was empty for the most part- except for a middle-aged man with an old and bent crown on his head. The man was round but firm, showing a type of fat-strong build as he was also dressed in Barbarian Armor. The Prince bowed in his presence before speaking.

"I have returned, father. The raid was successful and we brought back plenty of spoils. We did lose some men, unfortunately, thanks to the lass here. She wanted to play hero, you see"

The Prince yanked on the chains to try and force the Traveler onto her knees, continuing to speak with slight hesitation in his tone.

"With your blessing, father, I ask that you stay from executing this Traveler and humbly request that I take her as... as my wife instead, since I bested her in battle"

"Oh how it easy it is to show your ignorance on that one." the Traveler thought to herself as they both walked into the throne room. She would look at the king and just how old, obese, yet still strong looking. The man clearly had seen a lot of battles, as evident with the crown that old, bent and clearly needed to be scrapped and replaced with a proper one. At least that was the Traveler's thoughts.

She was then forced on her knees by the Prince, which annoyed her, but could tell that the Prince was about to say something that could prove risky. This was proven true when the Prince asked his father to take the Traveler as his wife. The Traveler rolled her eyes.

"Boys will be boys..." she thought to herself as this proceeded.

The king stared at the Traveler for a moment before looking back at his son with a hard stare. The king then crackled a smile and let out a big belly laugh, slapping his hand on the arm of his throne.

"Ho ho ho!!! FINALLY! After so many years of you rejecting the slave women we bring, my son finally found himself a mate! About time you grew a pair, Oscar! You had me worried you were going to be the end of the bloodline for a while there, you know? He he he..."

The king chuckled to himself before clapping his hands together.

"Very well! I hereby declare this beauty property of my son, the prince! Go on now, boy! Off with you now! To your chambers! The bloodline isn't going to continue itself!"

The king would wave the prince- or Oscar, as the king revealed his name, away dismissively as he hauled Fang to her feet and walked off- presumably to his living quarters"
