Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits

Well Keira was in for it now, given that Ryan had managed to get her in his clutches. He was well known as a powerhouse who can throw his weight around like it was as natural as breathing, however the Paragon also had an adept ground game developed during his time dabbling in MMA bouts and knew that it was best at times to restrain an opponent. In particular one who displayed creativity and boldness such as Keira, the Paragon gave a quiet hiss there as he sought to lock her down, yet he heard his words there and she suggested just letting her go?

Okay, at that Ryan actually gave a light chuckle and would say "Were we not competing I'd do so, however I am here to win. My apologises." it was known that the Paragon despite the crowd's hate of him was known to play by the rules. However at her words of bending a girl Ryan would actually crank Keira's legs a little more there to put some further pressure and say "I'm spoken for so I'm afraid I'll ask you to refrain from comments like that." yes it was true Ryan was, even if the crowd would rather he was at least 200 ft away from his queen Melony.

Still if Keira was able to power through and manage to grab hold of the ropes the ref would start counting, to which Ryan would then simply release Keira's legs from his grip and not even attempt to milk the 5 count. Again his professionalism was on clear display, he'd simply move backwards and get into his wrestling stance there with his keen one eye gazing at his foe ready to continue.

Well, things could be worse for Keira. She couldn't quite think, at the moment, of how that could be, but that was what she told herself as she endured the strain on her legs. Ryan certainly did have a lot of strength, and despite the pain, she wondered if he might be taking it easy on her. He seemed to be... at least feeling a bit more upbeat, if his response was any clue. Hell, he even apologized for not letting her go when she asked! He did realize she hadn't seriously expected it... right? Surely he was teasing her right back.

"Argh!!" Keira cried, driving that thought away, as Ryan increased the pressure! And now Keira really squirmed in the hold, gritting her teeth and planting her palms on the mat to try to lift herself off the ground to ease some of that pressure. "Oh, shit! Okay, no flirting, got it! Ugh! For what it's worth, I'm taken, too. Just - argh - trying to be friendly!"

After the sudden spike in intensity and Keira began to get settled into it, she resumed her attempts to crawl towards the ropes. She wasn't sure if Ryan was letting her or if he simply didn't notice - because it took her a few tries to finally gain some ground - but eventually she managed to inch close enough to hook her fingers around the bottom rope.

To his credit, Ryan immediately released her once their ref confirmed her grip. Keira let out a heavy gasp of relief as the pressure on her spine vanished, leaving only the ghost of lingering aftereffects. She took a moment to curl inwards on herself to help reverse some of the tension, then dragged herself to her feet.

Her spine still hurt, so she was unsteady on her feet; in effort to hide it, she began to - slowly - circle the ring, keeping close to the ropes but remaining in constant motion, keeping her distance from Ryan for the moment. She wanted to keep him talking - not just as a smokescreen for her next move, although it was that, too.

"Alright, not bad, not bad at all. Tell me, is your girl a fighter, too?"

Keira didn't wait for a reply. She lurched herself backwards into the nearest rope, using it to springboard her forwards, charging right for Ryan. When she got within range, she'd pounce, leaping directly at him in attempt to spear him to the ground!

Ryan was a bit miffed at his situation there, granted it was more due to Keira managing to escape his clutches than anything else. Still he was being vexed by how probing his opponent was towards him, Keira had back-peddled at least there and revealed something about herself there. Namely that she too was taken, perhaps Ryan had read her wrong?

Now Ryan had felt just a tad awkward in response to it, still he was a believer in the old adage of keeping a stiff upper lip. In the ring Ryan was often an even tempered person, it took a looooot to really get under his skin if his reactions to the crowd was anything to go by. Still he played ball and let Keira go, again she was asking things about him. This time about Melony.

Ryan simply nodded and said "Yes." and left it at that, he knew the world of law frowned on him being with her and hence kept silent. Still this lapse in judgement would enable Keira to get her goal there and manage to spear the Paragon to the mat, he gave a loud grunt there as he fell to the canvas leaving him open for a follow up!

Throughout the match so far, the gears in Keira's mind were turning. Even as she moved, she analyzed Ryan's responses, both verbal and physical. So far, he seemed to be a stern, no-nonsense type of man. His replies were often short, curt, and to the point. Some of that could perhaps be attributed to him just focusing more on the task at hand rather than allow himself to be distracted. She wasn't quite oblivious to his inner thoughts; though she didn't know what his deal was, usually people who are so tight-lipped had a reason to be.

But for Keira, she was constantly on the move, always in motion, and always happy to have some banter going back and forth. It made matches more fun, after all! Ryan's stony demeanor only encouraged her further. She wanted to crack him like an egg. She wasn't sure quite how to get him chatting yet - even asking about his partner didn't draw out anything more than a solid confirmation - but by god, she was going to try!

"She must be quite the lucky girl, if she gets to learn from you. You've got good form. You do teach her self-defense, don't you? Or perhaps you're the one learning from her?"

As she spoke, Keira set about wrapping her legs around Ryan's, trying to lock him in a grapevine pin. He had a strength advantage, but clearly her conversation attempts were distracting to some degree, or she probably wouldn't have even gotten him on his back. She didn't need to go for a pin count here either, just put some pressure on his legs a bit.

Ryan was being perplexed by this opponent more and more, he actually found himself being thrown off his game there. Which was a rare instance for the Paragon, it was due to her inquires into Ryan's life. Which was something that he'd never expected in the ring, if Keira was throwing insults at him then he could have blocked that out. However this wasn't something that he was used to. Hence why Ryan was caught off guard and taken to the mat, already the Paragon felt his legs getting contorted there.

Still Ryan's body was emblematic of his name, already his muscles were tensing up and making to start to power out. His arms were were his true power lay but the Paragon didn't skip leg day, another idea was brewing in his mind too. Since Keira was playing 20 questions with Ryan......well too could play at that game. His one eye would look into Keira's two there, his face wincing at the pressure.

"Yeah I learn from her, a lot actually even though.....its frowned upon. Now....your turn....tell me a bit about yours why don't you......" Ryan muttered out, as he'd then suddenly shoot out his arms and attempt to cinch around her waist and try to roll around in the grapevine hold to get the pressure reversed and see how Keira liked it!

If Keira was surprised at being able to take her opponent down and start worming her limbs around him (she was), she didn't let it show. But she could already feel him tensing up and preparing to muscle his way free. So she'd take any opening she could get; she'd need them all if she was going to come out with the win!

Learning from his woman was frowned upon, was it? Keira found herself wondering just who he was and where he came from. It did, however, give her the first hint she'd had all night at a side of him that would lead to a negative reaction from the crowd. It wasn't anything mind blowing, though, so there had to be more to it than that... assuming Ryan's revelation was even related to the crowd's jeers in the first place.

Keira froze - just for a split second - in surprise when Ryan prompted her for information. But the moment passed and she grinned, glad to finally have him talking. She answered, not only to encourage him to continue, but also because she wasn't one to be shy.

"Oh, Severin's great! He was my first opponent here, and we just really hit it off! We both have learned and grown together, both with each other and from each other. In fact, this very move-"

Keira didn't get to go into further details of her intimate encounter, because her chatter successfully distracted her enough for Ryan to turn the tables. His arms broke free and caught her by the waist, drawing a surprised gasp from Keira, before she was flipped over, now on her back with Ryan holding her down! She groaned and squirmed, but her own move had wrapped her legs around his and now Ryan was using that pressure against her. She pushed against his shoulders, but she doubted she had the strength to lift him off her.

Still, she grinned up at him. "Oh, I see what you did there. Good move."

Ryan hadn't really spoken to anyone in the ring quite like this, usually it was just his opponent hurling insults at him rather than actually bother to try and probe into his life. It had been quite a hassle Ryan had dealing with the people of LAW's reactions to being with his girlfriend, granted they never said nothing bad to her considering her immense popularity in the establishment. To Ryan though? He'd had everything from being doxed to having people throw stuff at him just walking down the road, hence why he had no social media and only came out at night unless his love requested it otherwise.

Still Keira's comments about her boyfriend actually made Ryan give a little chuckle there as he responded with "You know, that was like me with Melony. We had a match together, I learned from her and I give her my everything in return." Ryan's tone was actually quite happy there, clearly the one aspect that he naturally brought forth. His smirk stayed there as Keira caught onto what he had done there and turned the tables around.

"Only fair to give as good as I get." the Paragon said simply, he'd then attempt to swiftly shuffle upwards and attempt to pin Keira to the mat with his impressive abs there. Ryan was going for some type of smother/pin combo there as he tried to cut off Keira's airways and also go to try and make a pin attempt. Clearly his girlfriend Melony's mastery of smothers was rubbing off onto the Paragon there now it seemed.

Keira couldn't help but grin as Ryan compared her meeting with Severin to his own with Melony. It was cute, and perhaps that little similarity would help him loosen up a little bit as the match progressed. Keira was determined to show that he had nothing to fear from her, at least in terms of his relationship. The match outcome, however, was still within her grasp, and no amount of politeness was going to stop her from aiming for it.

"Then I'll say again," Keira replied, voice now strained as she tried to resist Ryan's latest hold attempt. He weighed a lot and no small amount of that was muscle, and all of it was pinning her down. "She's a lucky woman. And no doubt you're a lucky man, as well."

She managed to offer a slightly pained grin at Ryan's compliment, but said nothing. Words weren't going to get her out of this little jam. What she wasn't expecting was for him to scurry forwards and attempt to smother her out while he held her down! And the way he did it lacked any notable hints of hesitance or flaw in his technique; either he'd practiced this often, or he was just that skilled.

Keira kept pushing with one hand, but shoved her other into the air, ensuring at least that she wouldn't be counted out while she struggled. She'd need to think of something quick, however; though he lacked her own natural curves in the chest, he was no less effective as depriving her of air!

But with him slid higher up on her body, she hoped she'd have better control of her legs now; that could be the key to her escape. Keira would attempt to untangle hers from Ryan's, plant her feet firmly on the mat, and try to buck him off. Over her, off to the side, whatever it took.

If there was one thing that could be said of Ryan it was that he learned new moves as his wrestling career went on, in the kind of submissions he was adept at targeting one's legs. Yet his girlfriend Melony could make anyone submit by way of her legendary smothers which Ryan was one to have been subject to on more than one occasion, it should have come to no surprise that he was eventually going to employ something similar in his own right eventually. Much to the ire of his opponents and the crowd alike if their boos were anything to go by at having the nerve to replicate a move that his girlfriend would contemplate.

"A tad unorthodox yes. However smothers work wonders as she would attest." Ryan muttered to Keira there as he tried to just outright squish and cut out her airways with his sheer wall of Adonis like abs, all that she would feel there in front of her was the power of Britain that was pressing down upon her with imposing will. Still Keira proved crafty and Ryan was still a bit inexperienced and before long she managed to give him the slip and Ryan felt it and was forced to roll to the right.

Giving a low hiss of annoyance Ryan would get into a crouched wrestling stance, fingers flexed and outstretched as he prepared to continue in the bout. Still it was actually......pleasant to not have an opponent that despised his guts at least.

Given how many matches she'd had by now, Keira was no stranger to having an opponent, man or woman alike, bearing down on her with their full weight. But being smothered out by a man was a new twist, that much was for certain! And, Keira would argue, far less pleasant. Ryan was more muscle than anything, and he lacked the soft, squishy flesh that many women enjoyed using to their advantage. It was far less comfortable than any other smother she'd endured before - and that, likely, was the whole point!

But like the many women she'd faced, Ryan too had been so focused on cutting off her air that he either forgot or simply couldn't keep his legs wrapped around her own. Keira used that to her advantage, successfully surprising her opponent and forcing him to abandon his smother.

As she quickly rolled to her stomach and got to her feet, Keira sucked in a gasp of air. Seeing Ryan already crouched low, she copied him, ready to move at a moment's notice.

"Unorthodox, indeed!" she said, panting a bit. "But no less effective. Very impressive, you almost had me there! Gotta watch out for those jolts, though."

She flashed him a cocky grin, then charged at him. But if he were paying close enough attention, Ryan would see that she wasn't coming straight for him; she was veering slightly to the side. Her plan was to duck around him, rebound off the ropes, and launch a flying kick at his back before he turned around! All she had to do was not get caught in the process as she ran passed - a simple enough maneuver, if she were quick enough.
