History
Growing up in the slums of Monterrey, Dayana was brought up in the now disgraced Floris family. Once the pride of Monterrey when it came to Lucha wrestling, the family boasted a linage dating back to the era when it first started in 1863. One of Dayana family members once fought two of the legends of wrestling in Mexico… one match against El Santo, and the other against Blue Demon, both in losing efforts.
The Floris family name would be almost included in the legendary wrestling name of lore before the downfall of the family. Dayana father was booked to lose his title and mask against one of his rivals in the main event match, but doing business for himself and even paying the ref off to count fast for him.
The crowd stunned and watched as he ruined once was a household name and tossed it all away as he unmasked his rival after beating the younger man bloody. After that the family was almost banned from Mexico lucha companies… with the family name in shambles and threats to harm his family, Dayana father moved them to the countryside, and it was there the young woman knew what she had to do to return honor to the family name.
As soon as she turned fifteen, Dayana started wrestling… and she was able to have her first match in a losing effort at age seventeen. She never complained about the bad booking, the losing streaks she always had to suffer, or the comments about her family history and dirty looks.
From some older veteran wrestlers who still had anger at her father, but she never let that stop her as she made a name for herself and started to win over people with her hard work and amazing style. From that day on, she became the work horse of the companies, winning titles and masks from both men and women.
But also giving back by training young wrestlers like Blanco and Aline when the young woman moved from Ireland to Mexico. Taking both under her wing, she taught them everything and when it was time to give up the title… Dayana did what her father couldn't do, losing clean to her student Aline and giving the young woman her mask in defeat.
From there she would still coach as a wrestler, but Aline being her top student decided to create a new mask for her former teacher after calling her to return to the ring after a long layoff.
