Mashu Kyrielight vs Yunaka Rubi - Strongest of the Lioness

Mashu, when she was going for the clothesline, had only expected for Yunaka to duck or dodge the attack in some way that she can keep her momentum going to continue on attacking her without much rest. She totally didn't expect for the redhead to basically intercept her attack by kicking her right in the jaw with a kick while she was ducking the attack.

Mashu would be in the air for a short due to the force of that kick and landed on her back on the mat being dazed for just a second. However that one second would be all that Yunaka needed to make her move in wrapping her legs around Mashu's throat with that Figure Four Headscissors. Mashu would think about how it's a little unsettling that her opponent just switch between deathly serious to cheerful at a drop of a hat like that...if she isn't currently being choked right now. She's trapped like a bear trap and like a bear trap, it's very hard to get out of. It's not necessarily like she can just slip out of it or just pull Yunaka's legs out of her throat...well actually perhaps she CAN but again that'd be kind of hard to do and requires some luck if she doesn't show her mercy to let her go after a bit. Truly though, it's when you're in trouble sometimes inspiration can strike you. The Fairy Grail Knight tries sticking her arms inside of the hold that she's trapped to release some of the pressure and use her own strength to open the hold just enough to slip out of the hold to unleash a fast grounded spinning kick to Yunaka and go right back on the offensive to get her in a rear naked choke assuming that the kick were to connect.

Gotcha, Yunaka thought once she had her legs wrapped tight around Mashu's throat. The pinkette tried to get her arms between her own neck and the former thief's thighs to break the hold from the inside, but it would be nothing doing. Yunaka's legs were sealed tight around Mashu, leaving not even the space for her to slip a single finger in to alleviate the pressure.

"I know we confirmed that you aren't part robot before, but now I must have confess that I and the one who has been hiding something from you about my body," Yunaka said with a comedically overdramatic voice that she hoped would get across that this too was an attempt at humor to the Fairy Grail Knight. "You should know that I wield to powers of the elements! Specifically my thunder thighs that will short circuit you right to sleep!"

Yunaka braced her hands against the mat and raised herself up, tightening the grip of her legs even further around Mashu's throat, hoping that she could put this match away. It was genuine shame that she couldn't try to have a bit more fun with this since Mashu was the first opponent she'd met in LAW that was her equal, but that very fact meant that the redhead couldn't afford to play around! Maybe we could have a fun spar sometime," Yunaka thought.

Mashu really thought that her idea would work in getting her out of this hold but unfortunately it seems like that Yunaka's thighs are wrapped so tight that not even a finger can slide through to let up on the pressure that's around her neck.

She knows that her opponent is humoring the Fairy Grail Knight and normally she would respond to it in any way, but the fact that she's getting choked out via asphyxiation due to the redhead's thighs wrapped around her head and in an attempt to save as much air as she can, she doesn't respond. She appreciations the humor though silently.

She grits her teeth as there's no way that she's giving up now! Whether it be determination, stubbornness or desperation, it can make anyone do anything, tapping into a pool of strength that they didn't think that they had. She grabs Yunaka's thighs as hard as she can and tries to pull them away from her neck with all of her might so that she may slip out and quickly get away from her opponent and get a second to breath

Yunaka really thought that she had this match locked up as tight as her thighs around Mashu's throat. Perhaps that line of thinking wasn't wrong though, it was just that the redhead's thighs were a lot less tight around the pinkette than she had though. Yunaka winced as Mashu gripped her thighs with great force, before her face shifted to shock as she started pulling the former thief's thighs off of her.

Yunaka still held the dominant position, and legs were stronger than arms, so Mashu was not able to create enough of a gar to pull her head free entirely. But the Fairy Grail Night did manage to do enough to alleviate most of the pressure from her throat, meaning that she wasn't getting choked anymore. She had reduced Yunaka's deadliest finisher into a trap that did no damage.

"Urg, I take back what I said. Are we sure, grrah, that you're not a robot?" Yunaka said, grunting as she tried to retighten her legs' grip around Mashu's neck, aiming to overwhelm the pinkette's resistance and start choking her again. Yunaka bridged, throwing her head back with a shout to try to get every ounce of power possible into her legs. She was fully committing to this attack though, so if Mashu did find a way to escape completely, Yunaka would then be massively vulnerable to a reversal submission.

Mashu thought that that rush of adrenaline would be enough to completely pull Yunaka's thighs off of her enough to slip out but it seems like that isn't the case. However it DOES seem like that it would enough so that she can finally breath for a bit. With this in mind she can try to slip her arms into the hold so that she can pull them out completely from the inside so that she can finally let her head escape from that hold

"I. Am not. A robot!" Assuming that she did indeed escape through the redhead's hold, she'll answer her question in such a manner as she goes to wrap her legs around her opponent's neck and slam her down to the canvas while doing her own submission hold that gave her opponent a taste of her own medicine when it comes with having their neck crushed. The way that she answered her question, the Fairy Grail Knight knew that Yunaka was just joking when she asked that question, still though the answer came out as more serious than it needed to, that's just mainly because she's really focused and of course want to win this match so the answer to the joke question came out as more serious than what Mashu was intending it to sound like

For as much as Yunaka tried to regain her Headscissor hold on Mashu, the Fairy Grail Knight eventually succeeded at breaking the hold entirely. The redhead had committed so entirely to her attack that she was left helpless once she had been put on the defensive. Mashu wrapped her legs around Yunaka's neck and put the former street rat into a Headscissor of her own.

"I'm, urg, not convinced," Yunaka gasped out as Mashu began choking her in a Headscissors. The pinkette seemed to be getting agitated with the peppy wrestler's banter, maybe Yunaka could use that. But she had to escape first, and she would attempt to do so by using her hands and legs to try to drag herself to the ropes, presumably pulling Mashu along with her.

Mashu would pretty glad that she escaped that hold as that was quite hard to slip out of and able to get her opponent in a Headscissors of her own as a bit of payback.

Mashu wasn't really that surprised to hear Yunaka say that she isn't convinced, it doesn't matter that much right now. She noticed that the redhead is dragging herself over to the ropes, most likely to grab on to so that she would be forced to get off of her. The Fairy Grail Knight would try to tighten the headscissor submission so that she would try to make her tap out before being able to get to the ropes

"Grk!" Yunaka gagged as Mashu tightened her thigh's grip around her throat. But just because the hold was stronger didn't mean that she could stop moving. If anything, it meant that the chipper Lioness should get to legging it before the pressure on her windpipe became too much and she ended up passing out or being forced to tap.

Fortunately for Yunaka, despite strengthen the Headscissor, Mashu hadn't actually done anything to slow down the redhead on her path to the ropes. It seemed like the pinkette had hoped that Yunaka would simply be overwhelmed by the force of the attack, but she was stronger than that. If that was what Mashu thought, then she needed to realize that Yunaka wasn't another Lioness that she could bowl over. For possibly the first time in each of their short professional careers, Mashu and Yunaka were facing a Lioness at their own level.

Mashu really thought that Yunaka would fight less upon tightening her throat, or would maybe be more focused on trying to break out of this hold herself rather than logically going for the rope break. However that ended up not being what's happening as her opponent is moving with more urgency to get to the ropes before her hold becomes too much. It seems like that that this redhead can't be thought of like any normal Lioness that she could beat with relative ease. She HAS to give it her all of she has any chance to beat this chipper Lioness. Mashu lets go of Yunaka only to rush at her to do a suplex on her away from the ropes "You're strong for a Lioness, the way you fight is like at a professional level already"

"Same goes to you. You're the first person here who's given me a real fight, and I've done a handicapped match," said Yunaka. At this point in the redhead's career, it was an open secret that LAW wanted to move her to the main roster, and that she was resisting. The part that was kept under wraps was why Yunaka didn't want to be promoted. But with the new life that Yunaka was living as a wrestler, she wanted to try being more open with people. And she decided that Mashu was worth giving that a try on.

"LAW actually is trying to put me on the main roster," said Yunaka. "Between you and me, I was living on the streets before I came here. And while I may not have much of an education, my math said that despite the lower pay of being a Lioness, the free lodging I get makes staying down more cost effective than getting the main roster pay bump but having to pay for my own place to live, and all the other expenses that come with that. So I've been resisting a promotion with all the feet dragging I can muster." She then gave a sheepish grin and rubbed the back of her head. "So to be totally honest, I am fighting at a pro level in all but title."

"But enough about my backstory! We gotta match to fight!" Yunaka's tolerance for emotional vulnerability had been reached, so she quickly deflected back to the matter at hand. She ran at Mashu, trying to initiate a grapple up high at their shoulders before swiftly disengaging with one of her arms to throw a punch at the pinkette's liver.
