Ireland Against the Jungle: Maya Fowler [d] vs. Cathy

Maya expected Cathy to be out of it for several moments while she took her position. However, Cathy recovered enough to place a counter to Maya. Cathy threw kick at Maya's knee which landed flush staggering the red head down to her knees. She hadn't expected such a quick recovery given Cathy obvious state of pain just moments before.

Cathy felt her foot connect with a solid hit which told her that the Maya she swiped at was the real one in her dazed condition and therefore focused on that Maya as Cathy is recovering from the daze Cathy quick capitalize on her successful kick that brought Maya to her knees. Cathy would grab Maya's right arm and pull her towards Cathy and throws her legs up at the same time to attempt to catch Maya between her thighs to position her for a triangle choke if successful!

Cathy's next movements were quick for someone who seemed out of it just a few moments before. Cathy grabbed Maya's arm and pulled the red head forward before locking in a triangle choke. This was a terrible position to be in at any point. However, in this situation Cathy had shown the power she possessed in her legs meaning escape would be very difficult.

Maya would try and pry her head loose with the help of one hand while trying to strike Cathy with the other. This position was looking more precarious by the minute!

Cathy came to life and was successful with her reversal pulling Maya between her thighs and securing the red head arm and head into a triangle choke and hooking her right leg behind Maya’s head and throws her left leg over her ankle securing the gate in the triangle and Cathy squeezes her thighs then Cathy gives a big smile and says.

“My my how the tables have turned! You have a really good elbow drop. Now just enjoy my thigh pillows down there. Not often I manage to catch a strong opponent!” Maya tried to pull her head out in response Cathy tightened her thighs making the choke tighter. Even with Maya punching Cathy trying to loosen the hold but those strikes only cause to smile and tighten more and grab at Maya’s hand

Looking straight at Cathy, Maya could see a smile come across the girl's face. Although a little irritating, how could someone not be satisfied with the outcome. Cathy had been able to weather the storm and trap Maya in a hold not easily broken, especially against someone with that much strength in her legs.

As the hold tightened, Maya was experienced enough to realize she had been caught. She knew there was nothing she could do to break the hold, meaning she would either need to tap or go out. However, Maya wasn't the type to tap out so she would continue to fight the hold even as her vision began to darken. Her movements began to slow as the choke starved her body of oxygen until she finally went limp in the clutches of Cathy's powerful legs.

Cathy would continue her Choke as she watched Maya looking back into Cathy blue eyes. Cathy would feel Maya’s movements become sluggish. Cathy would say, “that’s it, there is no escape and enjoy your nap.” Cathy felt Maya’s movements slow further then Cathy would see Maya go out.

Cathy would call the referee over “I think Maya is out.” The referee checks and raises Maya arm 3 times and signals the first point! Cathy unlocks her legs immediately and gently slaps Maya and lets Maya rest on Cathy leg letting Maya come to.

Maya's eyes slowly began to flicker as Cathy gently slapped her hand against Maya's face. Looking up through slightly blurred vision, Maya could see Cathy looking down at her. Raising a hand to her head, Maya had a slight headache as she began to slowly come to her senses. Maya didn't need to ask what happened. Her experience made her fully aware of what had just occurred. She been put clean out by Cathy's powerful legs.

"Nice knockout!" Maya would compliment her opponent in a weak voice as her strength had not fully returned. Maya would slowly try and get herself to her knees to steady herself before attempting to fully stand. Maya needed to change her strategy. If she wasn't careful, Cathy was quick to lock in submissions and she only needed to do it one more time for the win.

Cathy would see Maya start to come too and let Maya take her time and replies to Maya. "why thank you, you are a tough one to catch! Take your time getting ready, I like facing my opponent at their strongest!" Cathy would watch Maya stir and slowly get up as Maya gets up Cathy would run her fingers through her hair and stretch and rolls herself back to opposite corner. Still watches Maya as she recovers and prepares for the next round.

Maya would get herself to her feet and make her way back to her corner. She grabbed hold of the ropes and shook her head trying in vain to get rid of the cobwebs swirling in her head. After a few moments, she would turn around to face Cathy once again who was looking across the ring at her. "Alright let's do this!" Maya would approach Cathy a little cautiously knowing she was down a point. She needed to find a way to counter Cathy's constant submission attempts.

Cathy saw that Maya seems to have recovered and ready for round 2. Cathy would get up and hear Maya's comment and smile, then would start running towards Maya at full speed and throws her body in the air to attempt a splash!
