Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
Audrey very much did not appreciate breast attacks. More to the point, she did not appreciate them used against her. Unfortunately, hers were large and easily accessible, and the chances they'd be painted with bulls-eyes in the minds of her opponents was often rather high. Most didn't care that she was sensitive; the few who did only used it against her.
Right now, it mattered little whether they'd been intentional targets or not; the stomp put the redhead down, and Spectre obviously had no issue doing so, which meant Audrey would have to be on guard for more of that in the future. So distracted was she by trying to soothe herself that she didn't give second thought to the foot on her hair. It wasn't like she was planning to get up yet anyway, and by the sounds of it, the ref was already on top of things.
Her first clue that she was in trouble was... well, the foot on her hair.
But the second clue was when that foot did not move after the referee issued a warning, and suddenly the redhead could spare a fraction of her attention span to figure out what was going on.
And in the blink of an eye, Spectre had her full attention, courtesy of a boot on her ear!
Then another. Then another!
Shouts and grunts of pain accompanied each blow as Audrey felt her vision blurring. Blows to the head - another common target. Still, she wasn't willing to roll out of the way just yet; less because her chest hurt (still true) and more because the second boot still pinning her down by her hair. She had nowhere to go even if she wanted to.
Gee, the ref sure was counting fives a lot. Did he forget how to math? One, two... five... five, five? Was that... one too many fives?
A sudden impact on her neck drew a particularly loud, scared yelp; Her skull, already in contact with the ground, was one thing. Her neck - not in contact with the ground - was probably not supposed to bend like that. Not broken, though, she could still move it. She didn't need the next kick to help prove it, but she got one anyway.
Finally, as the pressure on her head vanished, Audrey began to flop onto her back, looking upwards at the lights... so many bright, pretty lights... Her right arm went up in a vague pointing motion. Maybe she could count them all...
"There are... four lights..." she said in a daze.
And then those lights went out as another, heavier impact cranked her head to the side, forcing her eyes shut. Audrey's body rolled with the motion, resulting in the redhead laying face-down on the mat, eyes squinting shut and nursing a throbbing headache.
"Gonna... nnnnnneeda assssprin after that one..."

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
The crowd cringed post-punt.
That one had a fucking SMACK to it. Almost like hearing the crack of a whip. Now with her opponent facing down at the mat, Spectre walked around again, taking her time and adjusting her attire to fit better and tighter to her body.
Not even five seconds after saying their need for Aspirin, Spectre was standing over them and casting her shadow.
Her eyes rolled. She wanted to say something like…
If aspirin is all you need. Then I haven’t done nearly enough.
But this came at the head of Spectre putting a leg between Audrey’s, then folding it so the shims and toes were knotted around it. Then she reached higher to get their wrists, pulling them back like a giant wingspan that saw Audrey’s face come right off the ground.
So if she said it now… It would be a little ironic because…
STOMP
She just bludgeoned Audrey’s skull right into the mat, inducing a face-smashing, brains-scrambling and an intelligence bleeding !

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
With Audrey off her feet, her opponent seemed to have less reservations about wandering. The redhead lay face-down, head resting on her arms as though she were trying to take a nap. Her soft skin was only slightly more comfortable than the mat itself. But she could hear the light footsteps around her as her foe retargeted.
Seconds after flopping over, a shadow blocked the light overhead. Her focus on the headache, Audrey was delayed in reacting to her legs being bent and twisted until Spectre had already locked her down. Audrey made to push herself up - perfect positioning for her foe to lean over and grab her arms, sliding down to her wrists as they were yanked behind her!
Audrey groaned at the sudden strain, her body now bending without support, and Spectre only pulling back harder. She shook her head, sending her hair flying - not really to indicate anything, except perhaps her own inner frustration that she'd made it so easy to be bent.
Within the span of a second, she felt a boot on her back, and then her face *splat* against the canvas! She let out a startled yell upon impact, as the headache spiked in unison with the pain in her nose and jaw. Her limbs, when released, fell limply to the mat before she dragged them forwards to once again cradle her nose.
"Uuuuuggghhhhh..." was about as coherent a thought as the redhead could form.
She couldn't remain here. It was a vague hint of an idea in the back of her mind, while the rest of her brain was stunned and scrambled. Her eyes remained closed, but she could sense that Spectre hadn't gone far. She began to crawl, instinct setting her body on autopilot, hoping she came close enough to the ropes to... she wasn't really sure what. All she knew was that instinct, telling her to get her ass in gear, and so she moved, hoping she could find a moment's rest, and maybe from there figure out how the hell to start counter-attacking.

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
Mm. Still living.
Which means it wasn’t good enough.
Not until she can hear the brain go BOING, BOING, BOING inside that egg shell she calls a cranium.
However. For the seconds she decided to just watch, it was fun. Crawling. It didn’t look coordinated or very elaborate. More like a flop of limbs you might see from someone in quicksand. Or sinking in a pool of sticky tar. Except they can get somewhere by doing that here. The ropes, for instance.
Spectre moved in front of them and put a boot between their forehead and scalp, angled so it would stop their path without affecting her balance. Slowly, Spectre pushed Audrey’s head down into the canvas to take advantage of their stupor. Then, using their head as a pad to put her weight on, she reached down and grabbed Audrey’s arms. First under the pits, then sliding down past their elbows, forearms and grabbing the wrists again.
She bent them back.
Then hoisted them up, lifting her boot. Then when Spectre’s knee was level with her hip, she held her breath...
STOMP!
And lifted them again. By their arms. Foot on their head. Knee at hip level…
STOMP!
And one more time for all the losers in the world…
STOMP!
When she was finished, she let one arm go, turned her over so they’d be face up with the lights. Then, with her boot, stepped on Audrey’s face to grind her boot with twists of her heel. Left. Right. Left. Right. Left—
Meanwhile, the referee had dropped down and began to execute their count, slapping the mat.
“ONE!”

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
Only one thought bounced around Audrey's mind: move. She had to stay in motion. She didn't remember why. Her thoughts had been put in a blender, turned onto the highest setting, and abandoned. She just had to move. Her arms flopped in front of her as though she were trying to swim, dragging the rest of her weak body forwards.
She bumped into something. She couldn't tell what it was, only that it was in her way. Had she been facing the corner post? Maybe. Should have been. Right? Why? She didn't know. What else could it be?
Then, pressure. On her head. Not the headache - though that wasn't getting any better either - but something else. Something outside. It forced her face back into the mat. Audrey whined. Her nose hurt.
Then her arms. Something had latched on to her. And the first wave of panic hit her, just in time for her arms to be wrenched back and her upper body lifted, drawing out a weak, strained, confused cry.
*WHAM*
Her face collided with the ground, overlaying old pain with new. Her body lifted off the ground again.
*WHAM*
Something wet splattered across her face. Blood? Tears? She didn't know. Again, her arms pulled back.
*WHAM*
There was a lot of it, whatever it was. It... was a liquid. That's it.
One arm fell free, gravity dragging it to the ground. Then she was flipped over; her vision was so dark, she couldn't see the lights, but she could feel the spot on the back of her head where the boot came crashing down, the bruised lump resting on the mat and throbbing uncomfortably.
A spike in pain, this time on her cheek. And suddenly she had the energy to move her limbs again! Hands flew up to try to remove whatever was crushing her, but she couldn't find a grip. Her groans of pain were stronger than her palms.
She felt more than heard the thumping beside her. What was that? She didn't know. Couldn't see. Too busy trying not to let her face get caved in.
"ONE!"
Another attack? Didn't matter. She tried to mentally brace herself in anticipation, just in case, but she could spare it no attention.
"TWO!"

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
Audrey’s face felt like blood mud.
Soft tissue, malleable, filthy and getting all over.
Perhaps it was just the nose cartilage. Or the skin on the forehead. The lips, cheekbones. Perhaps all of it at once. She wasn’t familiar with how Audrey’s face felt underfoot. But she was learning quite fast.
Which.
Is partly why she wouldn’t let this end so-so-soon.
Her boot lifted, and planted, swiping her toes so there was a streak of blood just over their head.
The same leg got shivers once she witnessed their messed up face. She needed to use a breathing technique just to simmer the feeling bubbling inside her tummy, making her fingers twitch and cheeks warm into pink.
In. Out.
In. Out.
She bent over, grabbed them by the golden ring on their collar and tugged them back bit by bit so they’d sit upright. Then she kneeled between their legs. The planted foot on the outside. She sat on her heel.
“Audrey.”
One hand for each cheek, Spectre held them up like her puppet. She leaned back a little, observing them with only critical judgement. The type of tipped-up chin you might get from talking down to a harmless wild animal.
“Bit of a let-down, aren’t you?”

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
The surprise attack did not come.
The thumps beside Audrey's head ended at two, and the pressure on her cheek let up. She let out a quick sigh of relief at no longer having to struggle to keep her head three-dimensional. Still, the feeling was far from pleasant, and the dark blotch in the corner of her vision was enough of a clue. That was no tear.
Where previously only a split lip had spilt blood, now Audrey was leaking from various sources, lip included. Her nose was the most prominent one, although she could feel a scrape on her forehead that might account for the trickle between her eyes, too. She took a cautious breath - the small inhale drew in more liquid than air, and she wiped it off with the back of her hand with a wince from the sudden pain. A second attempt, deeper this time, managed to succeed, so she took that as a sign that her nose, while bloody, wasn't broken. Still unpleasant.
Thoughts of why her attacker had stopped didn't cross her mind until she'd been yanked off the ground by her bikini top. The redhead was still rather lightheaded, making it difficult to focus. She felt a drop fall from her chin, landing - thankfully - on her skin, rather than the fabric. Blood was easier to remove from flesh than cloth.
Her eyes blinked open upon hearing her name, the voice dangerously close, to see Spectre directly in front of her. Well, now she knew what the robot sounded like. The hands on her cheeks made her wince again, aggravating the existing discomfort in her nose.
“Bit of a let-down, aren’t you?”
The thought of just spitting in her face crossed Audrey's mind, but only for a moment. Too gross, too disrespectful. She'd been bloodied, but none of it was dirty.
What to do, instead? A sneak attack here wouldn't help her. It would be a weak, desperate blow at best, and not likely one that would create any distance. She may as well be asking to have her nose properly broken. But Spectre had had a chance to end it, and chose not to. For some reason. And whatever that was, Audrey was given a second chance; she wasn't going to just roll over and surrender.
With a deep breath and tremendous effort to focus, Audrey looked deep into Spectre's eyes. She licked some blood off her lip, then said, "I'm just getting started."
Yeah, that probably looked cooler in her head. Oh well.

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
At least they were trying. Though. She was internally debating whether she’d like them mindbroken or still sober enough to really mount to anything coherent. It would’ve been so much sexier if they swallowed their tongue and proceeded to babble as they slipped into a long sleep. What she got instead was a defiant gesture.
And.
That was all.
She didn’t have much reason to be impressed or daunted. This had been going for only a minute or two and she already almost cinched the win.
So she just stared back, not saying anything for a few seconds.
Just getting started?
Ok…
“Show me.” Spectre shoved them onto their back using her grip on their face.
She stood up, rolled her shoulders and stepped back three paces. Then she paced, from one side of the ring to the other in front of them, arms at her side, impatiently waiting with fingers that flexed and clenched meanwhile. Her watch stayed locked on Audrey on each turnaround. It was the closest Spectre would come to begging…
Come at me.

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
The redhead groaned and winced upon being hurled onto her back, irritating her numerous wounds across her body. But for the moment, Audrey found herself able to ignore them, in favor of raising herself up on her elbows and blinking at her foe in stunned surprise.
Spectre... didn't put her out. No harsh blow, no sudden constriction. Not even an attempt. Instead, she invited an attack. A taunt. The robot had taken stock of her position and calculated... what?
It was bait. Obviously. But why? Because she was bored? What was she playing at? Was she actually going to let Audrey hit her with something, or was she intending to reverse it, or dodge it, or-
It didn't matter. As Audrey got to her feet, the aches reminded her that she couldn't afford not to take the offensive while she was being gifted the chance. But it had to be something she could pull off while her opponent knew it was coming. Which meant another fake-out.
Except the ninja had already proven capable of predicting that, too. So maybe a direct attack was the better surprise... but then, she would expect that too, and-
Audrey shook her head with a sigh, cutting off that circle. Spectre had gotten into her head, as if she hadn't had advantage enough.
She approached slowly, cautiously. What she needed was to keep out of the ninja's reach. But her speed was crippled, so her approach had to be to restrain Spectre somehow. She probably knew it too, but so be it. Audrey lashed out, trying to grab her wrist to yank her forwards and simultaneously leap around and behind her. If she could just get the one limb locked, pulling them both to the ground would be easy.

Re: When Sparks Fly - Audrey Trovita Vs Spectre
Now that was a good puppy. Getting up as told, looking at Spectre just right. She was peering deep into those eyes, to get behind them and look closer at their brain. From this distance, she can detect traffic that otherwise won over instinct to immediately attack. Audrey was thinking.
That gave Spectre some crumbs to start thinking Audrey through. To start making bets based on what she already knew. Spectre was faster. And they likely accepted that. Eighty-twenty odds. Audrey wanted surprise, but wasn’t sure on the how for a readied opponent. Ninety-ten odds. Running has momentum that can be exploited like a strike. Counter-strike. Boom. And they’d be back where they landed. Sixty-Forty odds.
The slow cautiousness. Spectre dialled in as well, matching her vibe. Audrey’s grip seized Spectre’s wrist and went for flight over the ninja’s small body. Her captured arm went up in an arc. Spectre scampered her feet to catch the forward yank, leaned over, then stomped a foot down so she didn’t snap back from the whiplash. She counter-moved by jumping into a one-handed back handspring and flicking her foot to snap against Audrey’s chest.
When she finished the movement back on her feet, she’d pivot, duck and weave counter-clockwise underneath Audrey’s arm to straighten herself out, then strike forward, lifting a knee and burying it DEEP in the middle of her midsection, just beneath the ribs. Then if that worked, she’d weave again underneath Audrey’s arm to stand at her side, facing the same direction and twisting Audrey’s elbow to point face-up at the lights. She counter grabbed Audrey’s wrist still holding on, then in one final and definitive motion, snapped the arm towards the mat to force a face-first collapse.
