Oscar looked up to see the woman had grabbed the rope to break the pin, earning him a smile and a chuckle as he let go of her legs and rolled back from her.
"Very good! Glad to see you're remembering the material"
Oscar nodded in approval to the woman as he started getting back up again- looking to continue. The spar had only just begun after all!

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
Once Oscar was off him, Garlim quickly rolled to the side and jumped up. After that he just went to sit on the middle rope, while at the same time resting her elbows on the top rope and crossing her legs.
“So, as long as I'm on the rope does that mean I'm invincible or something? Or are there ways to get someone out of this area quickly?” She asked with some curiosity, while it seems stupid to him to not be able to submit for a long time between ropes, was there a way to get one's opponent away from this spot?

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
"You aren't really invincible when against the ropes. Holding onto them only really counts when a submission or pinfall is being applied. Otherwise, you're just leaning up against them and setting yourself up for strikes like chops and the like"
Oscar answered as he returned to his feet and shook his legs out a bit- trying to work out the stinging in his legs from the Boston crab applied just moments ago to him.
"When holds are applied, you can disrupt your opponent if you manage to yank them away from the rope and cause them to lose their grip on it. That'd stop the count- but it'd be more difficult to do depending on what kind of hold you're applying. The only other thing you could do is ensure your opponent is far from the ropes before applying a hold- typically the center of the ring would be t he best place for it"

"I see, it's simply a fulcrum to break restraints. Why don't you give me a good example of how to get someone out of them?" Garlim said as she continued posing on the ropes, apparently she was looking to test how the rules work in her favor.
As she remembers, during their fight she only used the ropes to hold on to them, while pushing Ashera directly onto the canvas to make her enter her domain. However, that did not turn out very well, although it was evident that it had left her quite scared, because from then on her opponent, who initially had the initiative and the tendency to always attack, did not confront her directly again, or even she dared to approach.

"Oh? Well, if that's what you want to see I can give an example. It won't be gentle, though. Just a heads up"
Oscar rolled his shoulders as he approached the woman, humming to himself as he thought what to do first. After a brief moment, Oscar wound back his hand and delivered a swift chop to the woman's collarbone- looking for her to let go of the rope and tend to the red mark on her chest!

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
As soon as Oscar launched his cut, Garlim leaned forward quickly, her head turned downward as she let Oscar's arm pass over it, bringing the ropes with it in passing. Oscar's punch barely grazed her hair, the speed with which she evaded the red-head's attack, exposing her excellent reflexes.
“Oleee!... How slow, but I recognize that the breeze was cool.” Joked the goddess of war as she winked at the Viking, she indulged herself in passing with a reference to bullfighting.

Oscar smirked as his chop whiffed its intended target- the woman avoiding the chop and teasing him about it.
"Oh hoho.. that's how you want to plac this, miss? Fine by me. Nothing wrong with getting some reflex practice mixed in either"
Accepting the blonde's challenge, Oscar unleashed a barrage of chops aimed toward the woman- aiming from chest to torso to head. Truly wishing to see how well her reflexes pan out!

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
"Hehehe, I like the sound of that" Oscar was certainly surprised by Garlim's reflexes, she on her side was still sitting on the ropes, as soon as the redhead began to launch several direct blows to her upper body. The goddess of war concentrated and her gaze focused to anticipate certain movements, the first blow was in the direction of the chest. Garlim quickly bent down, ducked under the top rope, tucked her head behind the rope and moved far enough away to evade the first blow, which was almost to her chest. The next was a series of jabs and a chop to her face, her head spun and went around the first punch that went right by his neck, followed by the other where she simply threw her head back while turning to the side to evade it, and the chop was a little easier since Garlim was far enough away to move back a little more and dodge the blow. As she finished dodging these blows, the goddess of war crossed her arms over the top rope and rested her chin on top of them, looking at Oscar with an expression that said something like ("that's it?").
It was an exhibition of technique, flexibility and reflexes that was undoubtedly amazing. Garlim had studied a lot the techniques of boxers like Muhammad Ali, in order to learn how to hesitate in front of her opponents and make them desperate by receiving the least amount of damage possible. Garlim's reflexes were almost cat-like, thanks to a lot of training and experience during her various fights, she was waiting to see what expression Oscar would put on his face as he gave him a taste of who he was really dealing with.

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
After the woman managed to dodge ever single chop he attempted, Oscar took pause and chuckled at her, seeing how complacent she was as she chilled on the ropes.
"Careful now. Don't get too cocky..."
With the warning delivered, Oscar looked to close the gap and attempted to grapple with the woman- looking to yank her away from the ropes with his barbarian strength!!

Re: Showing a goddess of war the ropes
The goddess of war couldn't help but let out a few laughs at Oscar's reaction. Garlim's eyes widened as the big red-haired man grabbed her and tried to pull her out of the ropes. While the action was predictable, it didn't make the situation any better. Garlim tried to hold on to the top rope, while Oscar tried to pull her off the ropes.
“AAAH! O-Hey I'm still on the ropes! AHAHAHAHA! Still On The Ropes! Ref Do Something!” She said as she looked at the dummy with a nervous expression on her face. This was more to test how effective the ropes were for holding on, but she didn't know how well they would work in this case or if she would be able to hold on tight enough so Oscar wouldn't pull her off, so she threw some kicks to see if she could get the barbarian away.
On the other way, at least Garlim was starting to get a bit more familiar with the ropes... That's something, isn't it?
