Outside Perspectives - Kaeda Fukuda & Domino

Gyms are exhausting. Usually they're exhausting due to physical exertion. But in Drake's case, the exhaustion can come from the tedium of having to deal with flak from others from his roster. And that's what spurs him to infrequently take a foray into other gyms; other territory. It'd be nice to just have a workout and it be just that. No unearned stigma.

To that end, he's ventured into a gym not at all his normal venue. The problem here will be finding someone to train with. At the other gym, he could toss a rock and be sure to bean another wrestler over the head with it. Here? Well, here, he actually thinks he might be by himself. Arms fold over his chest as he assesses the room before him - an expansive room, dominated by a featureless ring.

The young model is wearing a pair of black shorts, matching cross-trainers, and black track jacket zipped up. Dark amethyst eyes half-lid, and a dreary sigh escapes him.

"Yeah. Regular workout it is, then," he murmurs to himself.

The past couple of weeks had been rough for Kaeda Fukuda. She had signed to LAW, was booked for her first ever LAW match against an opponent known as "Natasha Rostovik", and was ready to hang out and train with her best friend, and fellow wrestler, Hina Nakano. Hina and Kaeda both shared the dream of becoming professional wrestlers, and the former high school swim team captain was excited to achieve success alongside her friend!

Things were going good, too good in fact.

Seemingly out of no where, Hina was offered a contract by a bigger promotion, one that, unlike the Japan based LAW, held its shows worldwide. Hina wanted Kaeda to come with her, but the rookie declined. She didn't feel comfortable leaving her own country at this point in her career. After a tearful goodbye, Kaeda was left all alone, inexperienced and afraid in a world of giants and cruel women. It seemed no one wanted to offer a welcoming hand or even just spend a moment with the young woman, but Kaeda was determined not to be bothered by this. She would train as hard as she could, and she would show everyone in the back that she belonged in LAW!

Kaeda, however, couldn't help but feel intimidated by the normal LAW gyms, which were filled with strong women with bodybuilder-like physiques. The small Japanese girl felt like she would stick out like a skinny sore thumb among those titans, and so, almost at whim, choose a random gym in hopes of finding solitude. She didn't like being alone, but things had to be this way until she was stronger.

Dressed in her casual, yet still athletic, attire of tennis shoes, thigh high white socks, jorts, a sleeveless white shirt, and a sports jacket, Kaeda walked into the gym and admired the scale of the room, holding a white towel in her hand. There seemed to be every kind of training equipment in the building, and chief in the center was a simple ring, ready for any potential spars.

Alas, the bubbly rookie seemed to be alone for tonight... at least that's what she thought until she spotted a figure near the ring. But not just any figure, a male one! Seeing a guy all by himself in a gym was a rather odd sight for Kaeda, and his lowered head seemed to indicate he was feeling as alone as she was. On top of this, something about his attire and size signaled an athlete, perhaps a fellow wrestler! As long as she was here, she might as well strike up a conversation with this fellow gym goer.

"Um... hello!" Kaeda shouted out as she walked over to Drake, catching sight of his brilliant purple eyes, "Pardon me, but I think I've seen you somewhere before..."

Drake had just resigned himself to his evening, when a perky voice sounded off nearby. He turns, and for once doesn't recognize the LAW wrestler. It's assuredly a point of irony, given he's recognized all of the ones he's run across so far and none have recognized him, yet it's the reverse here. But does she recognize him for the wrestling or the modeling?

Screw it, she's pretty cute. Big ol' eyes, seems affable. He'll take it whichever way it happens to be. He does want to know, though!

"Hey there," he says, putting on a warm smile. "You've seen me before? From where? I mean, that's possible, I'm just curious." His hands link together loosely behind his neck, pulling his lean body taut, but relaxed.

Kaeda almost couldn't believe her eyes as she took in the man in front of her. The raven black hair, the chiseled jaw, the dreamy magenta eyes, it was Drake Vyril! In private, Kaeda was an avid reader of fashion magazines and model catalogs (she still had a pile of magazines under her bed), and a common face on many of them was Drake's! She found him so attractive that she began to cut out pictures of him and stick them up on the wall of her bedroom, which Hina quickly made her take down back while the two were still roommates. Kaeda was also aware of the model's wrestling background; and how he adapted the name "Domino" while working for a Tokyo based federation. Of course, the young woman figured she shouldn't mention that whole obsessing over his body part out loud...

"I've seen you in a lot of places! Model, wrestler, if I may, you're none other than Drake "Domino" Vyril! You've been doing some great things over in your federation; it's kind of surprising to see you here!"

Kaeda tried to keep from embarrassing herself in front of such a hot guy as she reached out her hand for a handshake,

"Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself! I'm Kaeda Fukuda, I work for LAW,"

Her behavior isn't unique to her - not if they were back in America, anyway. But since he came to Japan, it's gotten quite rare. The longer she explains how she recognizes him, the more his face brightens up. Oh, she's a fan? An honest-to-God fan? Is he being presumptuous?

"Ahh, well, y'know," offers the model modestly. One hand drops to his side, the other rubbing over the back of his neck. "Things in the federation have been a little rough. But that's not really interesting." She's probably noticed how sharply he's been undercarded, if she's aware of the more intricate details of professional wrestling. But given the way she introduces herself, he suspects she's pretty familiar!

"Hey, no way!" The smile somehow brightens further. "Kaeda Fukuda," he repeats to her with a hand offered out, palm upturned. It's not intended to be shaken, but he's expecting her hand to be given nonetheless! "Charmed to meet you. Really. You planning on getting some training in? I was looking to find someone to wrestle, but.. well, it's a ghosttown in here."

The radiant smile takes on a playful slant as he goes right for what had just entered his mind, "Unless you wanna go a round in the ring with me, yourself."

Kaeda's heart nearly skipped a beat as Drake offered his hand out, just like in a dream! Trying to keep her cool, the Japanese girl nonetheless took the hand of Drake and shook vigorously!

"It's great to meet ya too, Drake," Kaeda beamed, giddy at even saying the amethyst eyed wrestler's name, "Yeah, I just came here to, you know, get a nice workout in before my-"

The starstruck teen paused and let go of the hand of Drake as he playfully offered a spar! Not only was Kaeda seeing the object of many of her fantasies in person, but now the model turned wrestler, or wrestler turned model depending on how you looked at it, was offering to step into the ring with her of all people!

"OHMYGOD YES!" Kaeda said, no longer able to contain her inner excitement before quickly trying to reign in back with some nervous laughter,"I- I mean yeah, why not? I've been having some stress over my upcoming debut, and this would be a fun way to calm my nerves."

The rookie then playfully winked as she looked up at Drake, "Just don't get too upset if I beat you,"

Hand is grabbed and shaken vigorously. That's not at all what that hand was for. Come on, Japan. What're you teaching your girls these days? He doesn't press it and make things awkward, though. She seems too excited, and it's just adorable. She's very quickly growing on him, and he suspects she's going to grow on an audience just as easily.

"Hey. You pin me, I'm taking you for a milkshake," he notes. Little incentive for her to do her best, if a playful level of incentive.

The zipper of his track jacket is drawn down, steadily revealing his sleekly-toned upper-body before being completely shrugged off. "Didn't bring your wrestling gear with ya, did you?," he asks with a grin. "Kind'a wish I did."

The ring isn't so far away that it breaks an appropriate conversational distance, so he trots to the apron and hops up onto it. From there, he grabs the middle rope and presses a foot on the bottom, pushing/pulling them apart to create an opening; an opening he doesn't take. The implication is, of course, that he's holding the ropes for her.

The excitement level of Kaeda only grew with Drake's comment on getting her a milkshake. She loved milkshakes, although then again she loved anything that was sweet.

"Alright, I know a great Milkshake place just a few blocks down!" the bubbly one said before Drake began to slowly take off his track suit, revealing a body as perfect in real life as it was on the glossy pages of the magazines! The chest, the arms, the abs, it took a great effort from Kaeda not to stare as she similarly stripped down, taking off her red sports jacket before pulling her white t-shirt over her head, revealing her toned midsection and her well sized bust held back by a black sports bra.

"With what some people wear to the ring nowadays, I don't think we look too out of place!" she said with a giggle as she climbed up to the apron and, after a small thankful bow, went through the opening created by Drake, quickly heading to the center of the ring and doing some last minute stretches.

"Say, do you think you could show me some of those fancy holds I've seen you do on TV? I know my basic armbars and figure fours and whatnot, but I'm always looking to expand my moveset,"

If Kaeda were to be honest with herself, she mainly made this request so she could feel Drake reaching and grabbing different parts of her body, but at the same time she figured learning some tricks of the trade from an skilled competitor like the Domino would help her out in the long run in future matches.

Drake would be lying if he didn't admit to himself that he was checking her out as she stripped down. She's got a nice chest, though he's maybe a little odd in that not being the thing that he focuses on. Rather, her toned midsection gets an appreciative lingering look before lifting back up to her pretty face. "Guess I'll just have to see on t.v. what you use, huh?," he faux-sulks.

Her request to be introduced to some holds actually puts his mind in the same direction as hers. Squeezing, twisting, and grabbing her toned body sounds pretty tantalizing. "Ahm," he says, briefly taken off-guard, "yeah, sure! Any, uh.. any in particular you wanna see?" He almost said 'experience'. Almost! "Have you seen the Sterling Stretch done?"

He slips between the ropes and makes his way to the center of the ring and cants his head at her, waiting for her to join him. Will she make the first move?

The cute grappler laughed to herself at Drake's comment about her attire. She thought her usual white bikini top with jorts combo was a little risque, but being backstage at a LAW show let her know her attire was one of the tamer ones!

Kaeda nearly blushed as she saw Drake stammer slightly at the thought of putting her in his masterful holds! This was going to be a fun sparring match for sure, and who better for a partner?

"The Sterling Stretch sounds very interesting," the former swimmer said as she moved closer to Drake, "But let me show you a bit of what I can do first,"

Kaeda then went for the right arm of Drake, looking to twist it into an arm wrench. She wouldn't put enough pressure on to hurt her opponent, although she knew he could probably take it, but she would try to cause enough discomfort to force Domino on his knees.
