The Golden Opportunity: Promo for Number One Contender for the LAW Lightweight Championship

Since debuting in LAW from the young lioness program, Snow had to jump through several hoops for her seemingly brief career on the circuit. She had made both allies and enemies, but when she graduated from the program she had promised her teammates only one thing. That opportunity would come sooner than she expected, however, as reigning champion Rose Gold, after a period where she simply opted not to defend her title, left Annie Clark as reigning champion by default.

The situation was somewhat disappointing for her, as she used to watch Rose Gold's matches on the internet quite often, in fact she was one of her favorite professional wrestlers along with Astrid Ostberg, Gil and of course, Karen Starring. So the fact of not having the opportunity to face Rose Gold for the championship, created a certain emptiness in her chest. But now that the spot for the number one contender was vacant, Snow was more than determined to seize the opportunity to prove that she had what it takes to get the belt!

After arranging a time to discuss her position, to make her point as to why she should be the one to face Annie Clark. Snow exited backstage and walked to the ring quietly, the crowd greeted her with cheers and lots of applause. The stage was filled with noise, the crowd simply could not believe that the popular actress was running for the lightweight championship. Since her arrival, many of her fans have taken an interest in professional wrestling because of her, and they certainly made their presence felt all over the stage. Snow climbed into the ring through the ropes, and walked to the center of the ring while looking around at the crowd, patiently waiting for the noise to stop.

"... I must say that this situation is something that I'm sure many of you, including myself, were equally taken by surprise. I didn't think this situation would come up and I know we are all very confused about it, I have been a fan of lightweight champion Rose Gold since I was 15 years old. And I used to sit and watch her matches whenever I had the chance, and even though her reign ended so abruptly, I must say that the defenses she fought during her reign were exceptional. Seeing her leave her soul in the ring, while bleeding and extremely exhausted, was something that for me completely changed the perception that people had about professional lightweight fighters. Before Rose Gold, the public used to see the girls in that division as simple fragile dolls, so I understand perfectly what her opponents and her teammates feel after her sudden absence. She left a great void in all of us." Snow took a second of silence while taking a deep breath.

"WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A GIRL! WHO WAS ABLE TO TREAT THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONS LIKE THEY WERE TRASH!" the actress exclaimed loudly, screaming from the depths of her being. The audience applauded loudly, both her fans and pro wrestling followers could feel the same.

"I also want to become a champion in that style, but that's the question. Every wrestler is unique in her style, so there won't be another one like Rose Gold. But what I do want to do, just like her, is to have the opportunity to measure myself against wrestlers of all kinds, regardless of how big and strong they may be. And to have each and every one of them at my feet, people often tell me that I can't measure up to them, and I know there are many exceptional professional wrestlers who may be more deserving of that title than me. But you know what? That doesn't matter to me, because I'm here to show you that I can beat a self-proclaimed champion like Annie Clark, because as the saying goes, easy come, easy go. And I swear I'm going to bring Annie Clark down from her cloud, and make her see, once and for all, that she never had the slightest chance, to win that championship fair and square!" Snow lowered the microphone to her chest as the crowd screamed and cheered euphorically at her statement, apparently she had won the crowd over.

Renee’s attire at the moment

Renee would be in her locker room, chilling out. She was in her street clothes since she enjoyed watching the LAW Product in her locker room. Renee was also eating a platter of food she was about to dig into when she overheard the words “Rose Gold” and “championship” in the same sentence. That caused Renee to perk up and look at the tv.

“What in the fuck is this chick on about? Ain’t no way she’s gonna try to be the number one contender for the Lightweight Championship. I should be the one challenging for the title.”

It took Renee a few moments before she abruptly got up and ran across the hallway and towards the music entrance guy and yelled at him to prepare her music. She was looking really pissed as she demanded to be given a mic as well. Renee wasn’t even dressed to come out to the ring. She was basically wearing a crop top and panties but that didn’t matter to her. She wanted a say in this so called “number one contendership”.

Snow’s applause would be abruptly cut off as Renee’s music started playing. Once the beat drop for Renee, she went through the curtains and she made her entrance to the somewhat booing crowd. Renee’s mic was live and it was show time.

“Nah. Nah. Nah. Nah. No way this wannabe wrestler actress is wanting to become the next number one contender for the Lightweight Championship. Who the fuck you think you are?”

Renee would walk down the ramp and slid into the ring to look at Snow face to face. She then continued speaking

“You shouldn’t be allowed to utter the announcement of wanting to be the next number one contender for the Lightweight Championship. I’ve been working day and night for that opportunity to face the Lightweight Champion. You are not gonna use your damn Hollywood actress card to steal that opportunity from me! But hey, I’m amazed your acting skills came in use during your promo. Really got the crowd believing in the lies of you having the chance to be the number one contender over me. Give yourself a fucking award.”

As soon as Renee's theme song played in the arena, Snow was already looking forward to it. For she had seen many promos of this style as a pro wrestling fan, and this one was no exception. She arched an eyebrow as soon as Renee called her an aspiring actress, which immediately made it clear to her the type of girl she would be dealing with shortly, as she entered the ring to lay claim to the fact why they should give her the nod, to someone pulling her strings as an actress for an opportunity like this.

This would immediately cause Snow to enter into a bit of a dilemma for a brief moment. Although she was on the verge of becoming the number one contender for the title, the truth is that her career to date has been uneven. She oscillated between wins and losses, aside from the fact that she herself did not have as much time at LAW as other girls, who had a lot of time training and preparing for the same opportunity she was aiming for.

"Thank you for praising my acting skills, just as I'm glad you planted the seed of uncertainty like that, and I'm also glad you've been training for such an opportunity for so long. But the point is, I'm not telling any lies, it was you who lied when you said I want to steal your opportunity. I'm not here to steal your opportunity, nor am I here to steal anyone's opportunity to challenge for the title. I'm here to challenge anyone who wants to face the champion, and defeat each and every one of them!". Her tone reflected a very competitive aptitude, the actress was demonstrating her great enthusiasm through her sincere words.

"And once that happens, Annie will know what the saying means, that easy come, easy go. She didn't have to fight for the lightweight championship. And that's not fair to me! And now you're here to tell me that you want to fight for that opportunity, insinuating that I'm trying to steal your opportunity? Well I'll be more than happy to show you why it should be me, who should face the lightweight champion. By defeating anyone who, like you, thinks they can beat me by insinuating that I have no RIGHT to win the championship." Snow's response made the skin crawl on all of her fans and the general public, who flooded the stage with screams and cheers for her.

“Wow. Look at the failing actress using her big girl voice to continue lying to these people. This is truly the performance of a lifetime, folks. But I can agree with you with the fact that our champion has not fought to receive that title and was only handed to her. But what I don’t agree with you is that you can defeat me one on one. Because if you’re insinuating a challenge to face me for a number one contendership,”

Renee would stare down Snow as she sized her up. She gave her the meanest looks as she tried intimidating Snow. Renee also paused her promo for a bit for the dramatic effect and it seemed to be hyping up the crowd more with cheering from all of them. Renee then placed the mic near her mouth again

“Then you just made the biggest mistake of your life. I accept your challenge.”

Renee again stared her down and continued trying to intimidate her. The crowd was going nuts as they know that these two stars in the ring will do everything in their power to be the number one contender for the LAW Lightweight Championship. It was Experience vs Passion. Young Lioness graduate vs Day 1 Star. The Actress vs The Renegade. This will be one hell of a fight.

Although Renee was trying to intimidate Snow, the actress didn't even flinch, on the contrary. She liked to face this kind of opponents, especially because there was a special girl she wanted to slaughter after this, who approached her with this same aptitude. This made Snow's expression as she looked at Renee, making her blue eyes seem to be engulfed in flames, standing her ground at all times before the girl who had just accepted her challenge.

"That's just what I wanted to hear, but I hope you don't feel disappointed or like a complete fool once I defeat you. Because after all this speech you made with that tone trying to sound tough, it will certainly make your facade fall apart, and you're going to think twice before you want to prostrate yourself before me with those airs of superiority. I'm not going to take the opportunity away from you, I'm going to earn it, and I'm going to teach you a good moral lesson..." Snow paused briefly as he focused his wild and determined gaze on Renee.

"Especially when I become the champion and it occurs to you to challenge for the title again, you will remember only how foolish you were to make these statements." Reaffirmed the actress forcefully, which caused the crowd to become completely elated as Snow turned to walk to the ropes.

Renee was beat on the mic after that mic drop from Snow. Her opponent did acknowledge and accepted her challenge as Renee was hit with the one two punch of words. However, Renee knew she was the heel in this situation and well, she would do what heel does after such a promo.

As Snow turned her back against Renee, Renee would flip her mic upside down before running up behind Snow and bashing her head in with the mic. The crowd gasped and boo’d Renee as she then began to stomp the body of Snow. She was jumping Snow in a lowly and heel tactic

“You fucked with the wrong Renegade, Snow. I’m gonna show you why actresses don’t belong in the wrestling ring. You are a fool and a cluesless bastard to think you have a chance to beat me.”

The audience acclaimed the actress after her good performance in front of the microphone, this was not surprising since Snow was more than used to these situations, after multiple interviews and roles that required exposing herself in front of the crowd, it had given her the lip to expose herself in front of the public. She had nothing more to say to Renee, and had simply made it clear to her what she had to say.

However, once she was about to leave the ring, Renee attacked her from behind, catching her off guard, the blow sent her face first to the canvas. Snow quickly put her hands on her head, bent over to try to cushion the onslaught and the blows that followed. The actress who had seen several situations like this in the matches she had witnessed, could only smile with satisfaction as one of her eyes narrowed from the pain of the blows, she just covered herself as this only meant that she had made a complete verbal fool of Renee.

Security soon came rushing into the ring to stop Renee and pull her away from the actress, who just lay there and laughed internally about it. The fact that the actress did not defend herself only made Renee's act look even dirtier, which would be booed by the crowd in unison, which made the event even more satisfying.... No doubt this was about to become a wild dispute.

Renee was stomping the life out of Snow and it showed with the red boot prints showing up on the skin of Snow. However, she would see Snow smiling up at her, which made her feel disrespected as a wrestler. That then lead to Renee stomping her out even more harder as security eventually came down the ramp and got in the ring to separate the two.

Renee was not to be disrespected for her wrestling status and with Snow smiling at her when she was getting jumped was just a spit in the face for Renee and the business in general. If Renee knew Snow was a big fan of this then maybe she would’ve seen a reason why she was corpsing but for now, she just wanted to take her anger out on Snow.

Once everyone was calmed, Snow was the first to be escorted back to the locker rooms while Renee was held in the ring. They were smart to not let both stars walk back to the locker room. Their fight will be spoiled if they were fighting backstage after this. Once everything was done and dusted, with Renee going back to her locker room after security was given the green light to leave, the crowd popped off for how exciting this rivalry will be.
