Garnet Rose vs Angel: Good to see you again

Garnet stretched his legs a little, waiting for his music to start playing. Even with it not being his first or second match, it still kind of got to his nerves. Especially with him not knowing who his opponent was. All he was told he was gonna face someone named “Angel” Which didn’t really help narrow down who his opponent was, since he wasn’t sure if it was the person's name, nickname or if they are an angel.

He shook his head, not allowing that to distract him as luckily a few seconds later, his music started to play. Smiling a little, he walked through the curtains and basked in all the cheering he heard.

The young wrestler smiled towards all his fans, getting a thunderous applause and lightly blinded at the flashing lights of the camera and lights of his entrance.

Garnet is wearing a red hooded cloak, a simple skin tight, sleeveless black shirt. Suspenders, though only for aesthetic purposes, connect to a belt with a Silver rose symbol with black shorts with random red shapes on it. And finally black and red boots with red socks just peeking out of the boots.

He grinned at this as all his nerves instantly disappeared. He grinned and waved to all his fans. After High-fiving and hand shaking a couple of people, Garnet would do his usual pre-match.

Standing halfway across the ring, he would run towards it and jump/slide underneath the bottom rope.

Not stopping his momentum, he would run towards the middle rope in front of him and jump on it. He then jumped behind him and rolled till he was right back on his feet. He then ran to a random ringpost second turnbuckle and raised his arms.

Garnet had a giant grin on his face, his hair shining a little and flapped against his face, barely hiding his scar. He loved every second of this as he jumped down the turnbuckle. He walked towards his corner and unbuttoned his cloak and neatly folded it. He then put it underneath his corner ropes and waited for his opponent.

Angel stood in the gorilla position, watching Garnet's entrance with a smile. It looked like the kid's managed to work his way through whatever it was that he was dealing with back in their days in the Combat Wrestling Alliance.

The bookers tried to keep her in the dark too. But surprise opponents were a thing that she never liked much. And for them to pull that on her very first match in LAW, where one is as likely to face a former porn star as they are to be put up against a violent rapist in a wolf mask? She's seen the utter lack of care that management shows to the wrestlers that they just toss out there. They were begging for her to snoop.

It didn't take long to get a name. Just a few days of observation. Mr. Nakamori was a creature of habit with an old school manner; he literally wrote the matches he scheduled into a notebook. Kept it in the glove compartment of his car instead of bringing it into the office.

He left an ample time window to pick her way into the car. She was in and out in minutes, leaving with no one the wiser, and pleased that this reunion was what they had planned. That said, she has every intention of doing this again if they're going to continue keeping secrets. Call it her need to know.

Angel didn't walk out right away when

letting it play out for a bit instead. When the violins came into the track, she came into the view of the LAW Universe, receiving applause that was about equal to what they'd given her opponent. Although a good chunk of it was based off of her looks and the gear that showed off the goods. Beyond that, she was never much for the pageantry inherent in professional wrestling. Never very flashy. She liked to just get in there and handle business in accordance to her goal for the night: Giving bad guys a taste of their own medicine as the Avenging Angel or enjoying a good fight as she is tonight.

With hands that were balled into fists, she raised her toned, powerful arms to either side in her renowned cross pose, doing a slow 360 to allow the fans a good look at her chiseled, curvy body from every angle on the big screens above the ring before advancing towards it, something that was always appreciated when she wore the showier attire she had on right now.

"And his opponent, standing at six feet and three inches tall and weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds, fighting out of Ridgefield, Connecticut...! Aaaaanngeeeell!"

They were loving it here, and they weren't shy about whistling after her and making catcalls when she walked past. No one dared to say anything too distasteful, however. It was nothing she hadn't heard before, but in a greater quantity in comparison to CWA's crowds. It was no surprise, given the sexual atmosphere that permeates LAW, whereas CWA was strictly Standard. What was surprising was that this wasn't booked as a Hentai match, but she wasn't complaining. Although she did have some genuine interest in that side of things, it wasn't what she was really here for, and she'd agreed to compete in such matches primarily as a means to an end.

The loving camera angle that was displayed on the screens up top when Angel bent through the ropes got a loud pop from the amorous audience. After having a quick chuckle at that, she turned to Garnet with a smile. She was looking forward to seeing how he'd come along since they'd last stood across a ring from each other.

"It's good to see you again, kid."

Garnet waited patiently for whoever his opponent to walk out of the curtains. He lightly leaned his back against the ropes and bounced off of them, as he heard his opponent music. He smiled at finally hearing it, it sounded nice and chill. Though honestly it kind of sounded familiar. He couldn’t put his finger on it but he wasn’t worried about it, knowing that plenty of wrestlers at least once used another wrestler from different company songs.

Though he was a little surprised at not seeing his opponent for a few seconds, he guessed whoever was making some suspense. And seeing his opponent walking out of the curtains and walking out and into the lights.

The young male wrestler's eyes widened in surprise and a bit of horror at seeing his opponent for tonight. It wasn’t due to the height differences between the two with Garnet probably having to look up at her to talk to her face to face, or a beautiful body with muscles that puts his own, leaner muscles to shame.

No, it was that he remembered her back before he joined LAW back when he was a Heel. Back when he didn’t really….do that much good stuff. Back when he was younger and more confused on what he wanted to do, he allied himself with a pretty violent, crazy group that pretty much dominated the company they were in before the group eventually broke off.

And seeing Angel, one of the group's main target’s made him shift a little nervously, knowing all the things he had done to her. Especially after she nicely gave him a warning about the bad things they were doing. And how did he return her favor? Well it was only after he told the group, he and 2 other members quickly returned the favor by attacking her and tried to put her out for a few matches.

Gulping a little, Garnet did a little shy smile and wave, clearly a little bit intimidated as he knew he didn’t really leave the best impression with Angel. “H-Hey Angel. It's umm..b-been a while.” Said Garnet towards the stronger looking woman, guessing she was angry with him.

Angel hadn't intended on any psy-ops going into this, but Garnet still had a healthy dose of fear in him that had him shifting about in his stance. She couldn't blame him: The last time they saw each other was when he and couple others of his old group had attacked her backstage, beating her down with a chair until that back injury she'd sustained during a submission match the week prior kept her down.

She thought the kid deserved a chance. After all, he was exactly that; a kid who fell in with the wrong crowd. He wasn't all in with what his group did; the nastier it got, the more reluctant he became. After he got a couple of his now former buddies together to put her out of action for a few weeks, however, she intended to have him see that it was the wrong path the hard way. Nothing too harsh, just a good beating to get the message through: Keep it up, and you'll eventually cross someone who won't give a damn that you're just being young and stupid.

But she would never get the chance. It bugged her before, but not now. Not after seeing what he got up to after the band broke up. How he got that scar. It was just as she thought; get him away from their influence, and he'll show himself to be a good person at the end of the day.

"You can relax, Garnet. It's white and purple for me tonight, and that's the match I intend to wrestle." She extended a fist towards him, the MMA motion for respect before a fight. "Let's just start over."

Garnet slumped in relief at hearing her saying this. He knew she usually had two different types of styles in the ring, usually signaling on how she wrestles and her personality for the match. One was her regular self and the other was a more brutal, rougher fighting style that depends on the opponent. And seeing she was wearing her regular outfit, white and purple, is a major relief for the younger wrestler.

“Great! Y-Yeah.” Garnet said, nodding his head excitedly, that Angel didn’t seem to be angry with him after their last encounter. His form changed from nervous to excited in a matter of moments when the physically stronger wrestler extended a fist towards him. Beaming excitedly he held out a fist towards her and pumped it.

“Umm…I guess I never said this but sorry for ummm….everything I guess.” Garnet said, apologizing for everything he did to her as he never really got the chance to before. He did feel partially responsible for her back injury she got a week after his attack on her.

Once the two get ready, Garnet would get into his wrestling stance. He knew that trying to wrestle against someone of Angel’s height and strength, would be very bad for someone like him. So he was planning on relying on his regular strategy, going fast and hitting hard! Once the bell rang, he would try and do some well placed kicks towards her legs to start things off.

The fighters' gesture of respect was shown, and just like that, they were starting fresh.

"I forgive you, Garnet. I saw what you did for that other kid, pulling him away from that fire." Oh, how she would have loved to get her hands on that rat bastard he had managing him. Crack his skull open and see what the hell kind of thoughts were going through his mind. But he left the building in cuffs, and he won't be getting out for a long time. A good enough fate, she supposed.

"Just be sure to keep your wits about you, alright?" Angel began, the concern in her voice being similar to that of a mother to her child. "There's a lot of scum in this business. Like the vermin that was managing you before." And it could have been the death of him. His opponent. And who knows how many others if that fire had gotten any more out of control.

Having a permanent reminder of that to see in the mirror every day made it more likely than not that Garnet wasn't in need of that advice, but she had to give it anyway. Just on the off chance that he did need to hear it.

Angel squared up as the young man settled into a stance of his own. Her fists raised, feet planted on the mat. "First move's yours. Let's see how you've come along."

As usual, there would be no time wasted. Once that bell rang, he was on her, looking to chop her down with some nicely rounded kicks to her thick, strong legs. She lifted one, bent and ready to check his offense. They produced solid impacts, with only the slightest falloff on the repeat. And then he switched, attacking the other leg.

He's gotten faster.

After the third kick had been checked, she'd retaliate with one of her own. A teep aimed square at his chest.

Garnet still felt so much better now that the two are on better terms, feeling like a weight was lifted up from his shoulders. He gave Angel a little embarrassed smile at the reminder of him pulling his opponent from the fire. But it changed to confusion after hearing her next set of words. He wasn’t too sure what she meant at keeping his wits till she reminded him about his manager, making him wince at the reminder of him.

Despite it being a while since the incident, he still had plenty of weird feelings towards his manager. He also still hasn’t fully taken in that his manager could have potentially killed him and who knows how many other people just for better ratings. Sure he understood it wasn’t an accident but the killing part still made him feel weird.

Garnet gave Angel a smile at hearing the concerning voice. “Of course! Don’t worry about that. I know better now.” Garnet said. The black haired guy felt happy that Angel still cared enough to give him this warning. Though he was the type of person to give whoever the benefit of the doubt, even if he did have a permanent reminder to be careful about who to trust. So it was nice to see someone caring about him to give him this warning.

Garnet nodded his head excitedly at hearing her giving him the first move. He quickly showed off what he could do once his legs kicked the stronger looking legs. He did this for another 2 more times till he saw that Angel looked down with his attacks and raised her own leg for a attack.

Garnet hoped to duck under her kick and ran to the ropes behind her. If it worked, he would bounce off of them and run faster at Angel. Jumping up he would attempt to do one of his favorite regular attacks, a simple drop kick to Angel’s body with the added speed/momentum from the ropes.

“Of course! Don’t worry about that. I know better now.”

Angel believed him. But like she said, there's a lot of scum in this business. And with the very worst of them congregating here...She felt a need to keep an eye on him regardless.

Funnily enough, it was quickly becoming apparent that such a task was going to be difficult in regards to him as an opponent. Garnet had all but become a blur of motion, racing underneath her leg and past her. She turned as quickly as her frame would allow, just in time to see the coming blow he was building momentum for. She was barely able to get her arms up in time, and didn't have enough to set her feet in the necessary positions to properly steel herself.

It was a good hit. One that she could feel in her bones. It was almost like two attacks in one, forcing her arms back into her breasts. And as stacked as she was, the resultant smooshing certainly didn't tickle. A pained grunt would try, but fail to make it past her tightened lips as she stumbled back into the ropes behind her...

Garnet swiftly got back to his feet after his drop kick, not bothered at all that didn’t knock the taller woman down. He knew from personal experience that Angel would need more strength or force to actually knock her down.

With Angel’s back against the ropes, the smaller man would begin kicking Angel’s legs, hoping to do any type of damage to her and keeping the pressure up. After a swift few kicks, and ready to duck or roll out of the way for any of her strikes, he would give one more swift kick to her calf, hoping that could stun her enough for his next move.

With them close to the ropes, Garnet would swiftly grab the ropes and jump up to the second rope. Afterwards, he would bounce off and using the combination of the extra height and momentum, he would hope to jump and wrap his legs around Angel’s shoulders! If it worked, he would attempt to use his weight and falling momentum to get Angel off of her feet and fling her away with a Hurricanrana! Of course if she can toughen it out and power through it, it wouldn’t be that good for Garnet as this would leave him trapped in Angel’s grasp.

Garnet was on her like a fly to shit. She barely had a second to recollect her footing -- try to. He did his utmost to turn his legs into axes, following one swing right up with the next. Angel steeled herself. Endured. Threw out a hook here and there, but only to keep him thinking that he was in the driver's seat.

She wasn't going to catch him right here, but at some point, he's going to slip up and give her something that she can use. Or at the very least, tire himself out. The quick ones always do.

That last kick, though -- the one to her calf -- that was a damn good one. Right in the spot she'd been stabbed in back when she was an officer. The blade had nicked a nerve, and the wound hadn't healed quite right. And now, it was sending pain spiking up her leg. But Angel would grit her teeth and push through.

And that opportunity would land right on her shoulders -- literally -- just a couple seconds later. She turned towards to ropes, looking for their aid to turn his momentum against him: Bounce him off the top, pull a 180, then powerbomb him hard into the mat,

if she got him there.
