Northman Reunion

[Ghost]

Fortunately for them both, it wasn't a concrete floor or any other hard texture they would land on. The training mats, albeit smaller than the regular practice ones, were more than enough to atleast give a certain shock value that forced the blonde to abandon her sleeper hold. Kanari didn't waste time either, rolling further away from her opponent while taking in a few quick gulps of air, at least enough for her lungs to stop begging for it and to temporarily satisfy the need for oxygen.

Once she was a bit further away, Kanari would get up onto her own knees, shifting her attention to her opponent while one hand would come down to press against the mats, while the other raised to massage the side of her neck. The sleeperhold was tight and if Kanari hadn't resorted to such measures, she would have been weakening a lot more. Still, compliments were in order, her opponent knew how to turn bad situations into good ones, much like Kanari had just displayed. Perhaps this spar would be a whole lot more interesting than even Kanari herself had considering it to become.

"Same to you, not many would keep such a level headed responded for a counter that could work in your favor so drastically.. But it will not keep me down."

[Devastated]

Isabella rubbed her side a bit as she moved up to her feet. Her eyes moved and locked with Kanari's as she saw the Rine girl start to push up to her feet as well, she would give her a light nod once Kanari had finished speaking and would grab onto the ropes with her left hand, she kept her eyes on Kanari as she would start to push up and climb onto the ring apron and then begun to slide in to the squared circle in between the ropes.

The blonde would wait for Kanari to get into the ring fully as she would start to move towards the center of the ring while she waited. She would raise her arms again and in turn offer another lock up with Kanari. " Let's see if we can't get a little more serious, without turning this into a real competitive match that is." Isabella said with a light smirk on her face, she would gesture for Kanari to come at her and if the raven haired beauty did, Isabella would lunge forward and attempt another grapple with her sparring partner.

"We'll just have to ignore the word real and keep it a competitive match, then."

Kanari mused and would make her way over to Isabella, a slow saunter back to the center of the ring. She knew she couldn't pull off another quick attempt to turn things in her favor, her opponent might just expect such a tactic, and Kanari hated to fall into repeat when it wasn't necessary. Even if this was a spar, she sure didn't want to end up on her back again with Isabella taking control.

She decided that this time, she would actually follow up to what was originally wanted. She brought her hands up and approached Isabella once the girl gestured her to go again. When Isabella lunged in for a grapple, Kanari would answer in kind, locking up with her opponent for another tough grapple, this time without any surprise attacks from Kanari and instead Kanari would seek to overpower Isabella by pushing forward with her entire body!

[Devastated]

Isabella would raise an eyebrow as Kanari seemed to want to turn their into a competitive match, the blonde would curl her lips up into a smile as she would make her way over towards Kanari. She marched her way forward to meet Kanari in the center of the ring and looked on as she raised her hands up. Seeing Kanari offer a grapple, Isabella would oblige as she moved in and would lock horns with her sparring partner.

The blonde would ram her body into Kanari's the second that they were locked up. Shoving herself hard against her foe as she would try and jerk to the left and then to the right, as she tried to destabilize Kanari's footing in an attempt to throw her down onto her back!

Kanari would normally go for a cheap trick or a strike that would wind her opponent and allowed Kanari the time to pin her opponent against the ropes or turnbuckle, she was in fact a little curious, to see just how strong Isabella was. Knowledge was essential after all, even if it was just a spar, Kanari wasn't exactly one who held back once her opponent showed that they could keep up with her. She locked up with Isabella but she added a body to body press along with in, forcing Kanari to exhale when Isabella came for the bodily clash with force!

Kanari quickly adjusted her balance, shifting her feet wider apart to prevent herself from falling easily. Kanari pushed forward and tried to remain at the top of her game, though Isabella decided to jerk from side to side, which caused Kanari to groan and ultimately lose the stability she was hoping to maintain after the power struggle, and now the blue haired Rine was brought down hard upon her back after losing the battle completely!

[Devastated]

The two women began to grapple for control and it was Isabella who chose to take control first by twisting and turning Kanari in order to put her off balance. A tactic that worked rather well it seemed as the second that Kanari was looking like was on unstable footing, the blonde threw her down onto the canvas. However, Isabella chose to follow her down so that she landed on top of Kanari!

The blonde would try to shift her grip and try to grab a hold of Kanari's wrists and pin them down against the canvas above the blue haired Rine's head. The red eyes beauty would smirk down at her foe, "Competitive, I can get behind." Isabella spoke out as she would then press her feet against the canvas and try to jump up with her lower body, bending her knees as she aimed to have them come crashing down into that taut belly of her sparring partner to try and leave her gasping for air.

"A spar is basically a competitive fake match."

Kanari smirked up at her opponent, though being pinned like this underneath her opponent, who had managed to pin her wrists above her head and now had the top position wasn't exactly a good position for Kanari to be in. She needed to get this back to a stalemate at least and would struggle underneath Isabella, looking to make it difficult for her opponent to remain on top so that Kanari would have a chance to get out from underneath her opponent.

For a moment, she thought she had achieved that when Isabella was starting to push upwards so her feet were planted on the canvas, which had Kanari thinking that her opponent would either release her or try to change positions again and have Kanari find another way of struggling free.

And yet, her opponent surprised her by jumping up enough to tuck her legs in and smash both knees right into Kanari's unprotected belly. Kanari's eyes briefly widened before she would begin a series of loud, forced coughs that had her lungs quickly depleted in no time. She hadn't expected that and it was definitely a move she was going to borrow at some point and preferably use it back on Isabella, but right now her head was more in the now and the pain she was feeling, which had Kanari behaved a bit better as she laid on her back and her squirming becoming much weaker as she needed air back in her lungs.

Isabella couldn't agree more with the words of Kanari. She would smile as she decided to go in and nail her with a painful move. She jumped up with her lower half and then came crashing down, driving her knees into Kanari's belly! The knees hit hard and seemed enough to push the air right out from those lungs, depleting them in no time at all! A smirk formed on Isabella's face as the move went off exactly as she had wanted it and currently Kanari was vulnerable....

With Kanari weakly squirming underneath her, Isabella decided to take the chance she had been presented with. She'd roll Kanari over onto her front and try to reach back and grab at Kanari's leg to try and trap it with her own legs, bending it up as her legs snapped around it. Then Isabella leaned forward, pressing her chest against Kanari's back as she would try and snake her arms in under Kanari's head, looking to lock the blue haired girl in a STF submission hold! She'd pull back and try to crank up the pressure in the hold the second it was locked in!

With Kanari on the floor and facing the canvas, it was not going to be a good time for the blue haired sister, who would quickly find Isabella coming down to greet Kanari in a not so friendly way. She got her legs trapped and soon enough Isabella would end up on top of her, getting her locked into the STF. Kanari would clench her teeth together, looking to silence herself from any early sounds of pain, though that wasn't to say that Isabella wasn't cranking that hold up to eleven.

"Gh..!"

Kanari released a sound of discomfort regardless, she would begin to fight against Isabella, squirming her body, trying to rock it from side to side, testing the grip the woman had on her so she could find some form of weakness that she could break it. Isabella was strong and resourceful, Kanari knew she couldn't underestimate this newfound sparring partner and the pressure was enough to call it a real match, though that was exactly Kanari wanted, and despite the pain she couldn't help but feel herself getting more and more excited about this spar.

[Devastated]

Snaking in her arms in under Kanari's chin and locking her foe up in a STF submission hold, Isabella was able to clinch the hold firmly and right away she started to crank it up. Putting as much pressure as she could from the get-go, as Kanari had made it pretty clear she wanted to make this spar pretty competitive....so Isabella intended to oblige her in that with this hold!

The blonde proceeded to pull back and keep the pressure on Kanari as she was stretching out that back, neck and knee of her sparring partner. Isabella would feel how Kanari started to struggle, squirming and shifting in the hold! Isabella though tried to counter act that by tightening her grip and trying to pull back even more on the STF hold!

"Competitive enough for you?~" Isabella would tease her foe.
