Until one is out cold: Mary Clairson vs Aslaug Gunn

"This match is scheduled to be a one fall Ko only match. There shall be no tapaout or rope break, the bout shall only end with one of the two contenders being reduced unconscious."

The booming voice of the announcer of the night explained the predicament of what the matchup that will follow implicated.
A wave of cold ensued from the air conditioners of the arena, which started produce cool air incresingly dropping the temperature of the stadium as the Lunatic Wywern made her way from the entrance to the ring.
Her arrival seemed to be taken much better by the crowd compared to her latest appearences a sign that the LAW community is taking a bit better her presence in the roster.
Still, nochalantly she entered the ring awaiting for her opponent at her angle, stretching her limbs a bit. She had heard about Mary's abilties and so had quite the high expectations coming in for this match.

”Mary Clairson”

Mary has long been established in LAW so far as on the higher tier of middleweights, her incredible submission abilities had taken her incredibly far in the world of the League of Anime Wrestling. Tonight however, will be a new route for her to take, a match known as a KO match, where you have to knock out the other opponent.

For one, a part of this match frightened Mary, as she was no good at handling striking, and an errant punch or kick could easily knock her out of the match and just like that, the match would be over. On the other hand, her submission holds, specifically her rear naked choke finisher known as the Silencer, can easily knock someone off through cutting off their blood circulation.

As for her opponent tonight, Aslaug Gunn, Mary had no idea what to expect from her. She was a newer name with not much at all experience, meaning Mary will mostly be going blind.

Mary did some stretches, her very flexible leotard coming in handle, she needs to be able to bend some limbs if she wants to have a chance of winning this match, she could not take any opponent lightly, ever. Soon enough, the LAW official knocked on the door, and gave the signal for Mary that her match was about to begin. “Thank you.” Mary said in her very comforting and gentle sounding voice. She then began heading out to the ring.


The arena became covered in blue spotlights as Mary came out onto the stage, her theme blasting through the speakers. It was time to show LAW once again what she was made of. She took a deep breath, before walking down the ramp, slapping hands with a few fans and then making her way towards the steel steps. Taking another deep breath, she walked up the steel steps and then went underneath the middle rope into the ring. And then she headed to her corner, getting a first look at her opponent.

She was very pretty, and did not seem that antagonistic, so Mary headed to the center of the ring to greet her. “Umm, hello my name is Mary Clairson, and I hope we have a great match today.” Mary said before bowing as a sign of respect as she waited for Aslaug’s response.

"Uoooh, you're so cute Mary!" Aslaug exclaimed suddendly hugging the teal haired girl affectiotiously. Of course, if the quiet and proper lady that was her opponent showed sign of being uncomfortable she would back off althoug she would still pat her on her shoulders with her hands.

"Let's have a good match then! I have decided that I'll take you seriously and I won't be doing any funny stuff on your body when I send you to sleep!".

The wyvern strangely said, especially towards the end, beaming a smile and a wink.

Mary was hoping for a handshake, so she was a little surprised when Aslaug started hugging her out of nowhere, Her face turned bright red as Aslaug’s grip was rather tight. It was not like she was about to go to sleep tight, just enough to make her feel uncomfortable.

“Well um, thank you, but could you please let go.” Mary calmly asked, hoping that Aslaug would let go of her grip.

Once she did, Mary would then head to her corner, and begin doing some stretching, waiting for the bell to ring at her first ever KO match. At least Aslaug seemed nice enough.

Aslaug did indeed release and then returned to her corner with a parting wink. She had the exact opposite of her opponent conduct, relaxing instead of stretching and preparing the muscles for the incoming battle, she would even release a small yawn.

"Damm I'm really missing out some hours of sleep these days." Said loudly the whitehead while waiting for the bell to go off.
Her golden eyes would take notice of the demeanor that the bluette semmed to have, she commented with a semmingly much more serious tone..

"You're pretty tense."

And with that sentence the bell rang, althoug Aslaug didn't seem to want to fight just from the get go.

Aslaug was right, Mary was quite tense right now. She had almost no idea what she was in for in a KO match, and therefore needed to adjust things step by step. Heck, Aslaug probably could have KO’d her with that hug if she tried, it was rather tight.

Soon enough, the bell rang and Mary took a deep breath. She needed to win via doing the thing she was best at, and that was grappling. So she headed to the center of the ring.

When she did, she motioned for a collar and elbow tie up, to test out who had the superior grappling prowess right now between her and Aslaug.

Semmingly, Aslaug decided to honor Mary's request stepping to the center of the ring to engage in an early grappling contest.
The little smirk of the golden eyed woman was all the warning Mary got before Aslaug proceded with her sudden series of attacks.
The whitehead seemmingly raised her hands out for grappling just like the quiet beauty had offered, but that was only a feint and instead with a swift movement the bluenette's cheeck would be greeted by a disorienting slap from the norsewoman who then further incemented her offensive with a sweep to the leg to make the other wrestler trip and fall to the ground.

"In a match like these, you can't expect your opponent to comply to the request which accomodates your fighting style."

Mary was looking forward to grappling with her opponent for the night, start the match out slow and attempt to feel out Aslaug, learn how good of a grappler she was. Mary held out her hands, looking to tie up.

“AAAAH!” Mary yelped as she was slapped across the cheek by Aslaug’s palm, taking a few steps backwards while holding her now bright red cheek. Aslaug was not as nice as Mary thought she was.

And then Mary would wind up flat on her back, as her feet were swept by Aslaug. She winced, holding her cheek in pain. She did not see this coming.

A second stomp right on her stomach came for the wriggling in pain Mary, Aslaug had a pretty satisfied grin right now.

"Don't misunderstand. There's no personal evilness about this." She reassured. Sorta.

"But you can't exactly expect a girl to play it safe and by the books with the mighty Mary Clairson in a match like this, ya know? I bet you really want to put your hands on my frail neck right now."" The wyvern smiled, genuinly, but even then she proceeded to kick the downed bluenette with a painful kick to the ribs.

“GAH!” Mary yelped as she received a kick to her stomach, her face clearly wincing in pain, Aslaug clearly intended to hurt her, even if her demeanor did not lend to that. However, Mary knew she needed to do something and fast.

Out of the corner of her eyes, Mary could see that Aslaug was about to stomp on her again. Mary would attempt to reverse this by attempting to grab Aslaug’s foot, and then slam it on the canvas in an attempt to stop the onslaught from Aslaug.
