Another Night, Another Match: Gohan vs Daniel Haines

Gohan was caught in a vulnerable position with his leg outstretched. His eyes widened and he began mouthing "No, no, no" as he hopped on one leg and shook his head and hands simultaenously. However, his opponent knew he had the upper hand and he wasn't about to let go of it... or his leg.

Gohan's thoughts shifted and he knew he had to force himself out of it. Gohan began to lift his other leg up in an attempt to give his opponent an enzuigiri, but it was too late. Dan was already in the process of twisting his body and both men fell on the canvas with a Dragon Screw takedown. Gohan landed on his back, not hard enough to incapacitate him, but enough for him to involuntarily wince in pain.

Maybe he played with his opponent too much... maybe it's now time to get serious.

Gohan went down but Danny knew he wasn't going to stay there. The bigger wrestler got to his feet and moved toward Gohan as quickly as he could. He had to capitalize on this. Danny moved in try to to grab Gohan and lift him up wrapping his arms around Gohan's torso while swinging him around. Danny was trying to bear hug the smaller man while swinging him about to maximize the pain he felt in the hold. The more damage he could do the better...

The sting had just begun to subside and Gohan leaned up against his elbows getting ready to stand up when Dan towered over him. Before Gohan could react, the big man wrapped his arms around Gohan's torso. His massive chest flexed against Gohan's abdomen as he grips Gohan tight for a bear hug. Gohan's legs dangled in the air as Danny swung him around, causing further pain on Gohan's lower back.
Gohan reached for the nearest rope as each swing involuntarily releases labored grunts from Gohan's throat. After a few moments in the hold, Gohan knew that reaching for the ropes is futile. With his arms free, he chooses to fight back.

He clutches Dan's head with one arm, pulling him forward, effectively smothering Dan against his chest. With his other arm, Gohan raised his right elbow and dropped it against the top of Dan's head. Once... then twice... again... and again until Dan's hold loosens.

Dan squeezed away with everything he had but when the strikes started to rain down on him he knew he had to abandon the hold. He twist his torso throwing Gohan to the side and would give chase right after looking to lower her shoulder and crash into Gohan to spear him down to the mat! Dan was trying to keep up the pressure on the smaller man hoping to really hit him with impactful offense to keep him on the back foot. For all his talk Dan knew that his offense was more than enough to rattle Gohan if he could just string it together.

Gohan's attack continues. His lower back was burning but the direct shots to Dan's head is gotta be doing damage... right? Gohan gets his answer when his captor swings him to the side and he gets some reprieve from the hold. He stumbles backwards as his feet once again touches the ground, but before he can stabilize himself, he saw Dan was coming straight at him with a spear. Without thinking, Gohan allows himself to fumble to the side and miss Dan's charge by just mere seconds.

However, Gohan didn't stay down for long. He knew this was a moment he can capitalize on, so he got up and charge towards Dan himself. He stretches his arm out and hopes to catch Dan off guard. Once his unsuspecting opponent turns around, he would deck him with a clothesline.

Dan was rising back up when he saw Gohan coming. He couldn't move out of the way, so he tried to stabilize himself and when the clothesline hit the bigger Dan didn't fall onto his back but he did stumble back a few steps and slump against the ropes. He shook his head and tried to push off the ropes again running back at Gohan as he swung his leg up aiming a bit boot right to the face of Gohan hoping to catch him off guard otherwise Dan would again be in a bad position and open to counter attacks.

Gohan was impressed his clothesline didn't take Dan down, but he was not at all surprised. Dan has an impressive build and Gohan knew it would take some effort to take him down. The hit, however, caused Dan to stumble and slump against the ropes and Gohan took this as a sign that his attacks are working.

Naturally, he would want this momentum to keep going and he did just that... Gohan, once again, began charging at his opponent, hoping to clothesline him over the top rope and to the floor below.

Dan didn't stay slumped for too long. Instead, he also ran towards Gohan and launch his boot towards Gohan's face. However, Gohan was quicker. He ducked under the big man's boot and when he was behind his opponent, he wrapped his arms around the Dan's torso and attempted to throw him overhead for a German Suplex.

If successful, Gohan would follow up with a Double Footstomp to his opponent's torso to ensure that the big man stays down for a little bit longer.

Dan swung his leg up... and missed. He was off balance as Gohan got behind him lifting up the bigger Dan sending him crashing down to the mat! Dan groaned as he landed hard to the canvas before flopping down onto his back. Things only got worse as Dan was stomped hard, groaning and rolling to his side while he cradled his abdomen leaving Dan on the mat.

Gohan's attacks connected exactly as he had planned and adrenaline is coursing through his veins as he watch his opponent groaning and rolling on the mat beneath him. He had two options, attempt a pin or continue dealing damage.

It's far too early for Dan to be down for the count so Gohan decided to go with the latter. He approached his down opponent and grabbed Dan by his hair. As Gohan pulls him up to his feet, he raises a fist for the crowd inciting cheers amongst them. Gohan then gripped Dan's head beneath his arm and attempted to follow through with a DDT. A simple, yet devastating move especially if the opponent's been weakened enough.

Dan felt himself being hauled up to his feet and he knew the grip that Gohan had him in. Dan slammed his fist into the side of Gohan as hard as he could hoping to stun the smaller man while reaching his arms around Gohans waist. Danny boy was going to try to counter by lifting Gohan up and over, attempting to counter the DDT into a northern lights suplex instead as he hoped to avoid falling behind against his opponent.
