Victory Conditions: Gained by either pin, submission or knock out
"...47... 48... 49... 50!" Gohan leaps up from the floor after just completing his pre-match push-ups. He shakes his arms to loosen them from any unwanted tension. Afterwards, he cracks his neck, first to the left and then to the right. Gohan makes his way out of the locker rooms and began heading towards the entrance ramps. Spoiler
He was scheduled to enter the ring first. As Gohan waited for his entrance music to begin, he couldn't help but wonder what his opponent will be like. "Daniel Haines" seemed a generic enough name... it didn't really invoke any sort of feeling of excitement or fear. Regardless, Gohan knew to give it his all not only for the victory, but also for his fans. Spoiler
His entrance music began playing and he walked through the curtains separating the backstage area from the arena. Gohan jumps lightly on his feet and with a huge smile, raised his fist up for the crowd. The crowd's reaction was mixed tonight, lots of cheers but there are a few scattered boos. Gohan knew better than to let this get to him. Instead, he continued to play it up to the crowd as he made his way into the ring. Once he made his way up the steel steps and through the middle ropes, he climbed onto one of the turnbuckles and raised his fist authoritatively one last time before stepping down and walking towards the middle of the ring. Gohan gives the audience a respectful bow before rolling out of the ring to allow his opponent some room for his entrance sequence.
Tonight was a matchup that Danny never expected to see on a card. However he was doing better recently and wanted to keep the momentum going. Danny was backstage as his opponent entered and he waited for his music to begin playing before entering the arena. The crowd cheered and he knew him being related to Alaina was quite a help indeed in that department. However he had to go out and win to build his own resume and be seen as his own wrestler.
Danny made his way down the ramp before sliding into the ring underneath the bottom rope from the outside. He gave a small nod to Gohan and then settled into his corner, keeping his focus on his opponent. Dan was going to do all he could to keep winning and tonight was no exception. He was going to come out on top and win or so he thought that to himself as he waited for the bell to ring.
As Gohan's opponent completes his entrance, he gives Gohan a little nod, which Gohan accepted with a smile and a small head bow. When Dan makes his way into the corner, Gohan rolls back into the ring and into the opposite corner. The referees does his final checks and signals for the bell.
Once the bell rang, Gohan got the devious idea to try and get into his opponent's head early on in the match. He walked towards his opponent, defenses down, outstretched his hand for a handshake and smiled.
"Let's have a great match, okay?" Gohan said with a welcoming smile. Little did his opponent know, as soon as he reaches for Gohan's hand, Gohan would pull it back and style his hair and let his opponent soak in the humiliation from the crowd.
Gohan stepped out with his hand held and Dan decided to accept the handshake. However Gohan pulled his hand back trying to taunt, but that was something Dan wasn't going to simply take without repercussion. Not by a long shot. As Gohan showed off by slicking his hair back Dan was already lunging in and extending his arm looking to smash into Gohan with a running lariat to send him crashing to the canvas!
The trap Gohan had set worked. As Dan reached out for the handshake and Gohan pulls back, Gohan could see the anger and humiliation in Dan's eyes. Of course, this anger had led Dan to act irrationally and began to charge at Gohan with a running lariat.
The Saiyan expected as much. So as Dan ran at him, Gohan drops down and catches his opponent in a drop toehold. Once Dan is on the ground, Gohan decides to rub some salt on his wounds by pressing Dan's face harder against the canvas.
"Gotta be quicker than that, buddy," Gohan retorts attempting to belittle Dan and get further into his head. Gohan releases Dan's face, giving him a quick, almost playful, slap before stepping back and gesturing Dan to get up. "Wanna try again?"
This was hardly the start he had hoped for. Dan was dodged and the counter worked sending Dan down to the mat. However as his opponent tried to force his face down he pressed back up and reached with a hand to push Gohans hand off. "All right then tough guy..." Dan said as he stepped up, circling.
He figured Gohan was dodging because he couldn't handle Dan in a grapple so that is what Dan would try to do. He swung he knee up trying to strike Gohan in the abdomen before grappling with him forcing him back against the turnbuckle!
Gohan attempted to taunt his opponent further, but much to his surprise, Dan powers out of it and pushes him off. In hindsight, he shouldn't have been surprised. Dan has an impressive physique and it definitely seems that those muscles are not just for show.
He watched as Dan got onto his feet and attempted to swing his knee up. Gohan, though surprised by the counter, was still fresh and saw the attack from miles away. "Tsk... tsk... tsk...," Gohan smirked as he blocks Dan's knee on time and pushed it back down. "Speed just isn't really your thing, huh, bud?" Gohan further comments before countering with an elbow strike. If successful, Gohan would attempt to continue with a combination of strikes and punches, hoping to daze his opponent.
Dan once again failed to land a hit... shaking his head. Gohan hit him with an elbow that staggered him back but Dan had enough of this guy and his attitude, planting his feet and sending a hard right hook right into the jaw of Gohan looking to take him by surprise with the strike instead!
Gohan's elbow successfully connected with Dan's face. He smirked as his opponent stagger backwards, disoriented by the counter. As Gohan prepares to launch another elbow, he was met with a stinging pain in his jaw as Dan catches him with a right hook instead.
This time, it's Gohan who staggers backwards, clutching his head. Once he regains his footing he shakes his head attempting to shake the sting off. Still clutching his head Gohan smiles at Dan, "Not bad... Let's see how you handle this!" Gohan began saying as he tried to launch a boot directly at Dan's midsection.
Danny landed a hit and stunned his cocky opponent, and when Gohan spoke Danny knew something was coming. Speak and strike, Gohan was a talker and Danny was seeing his pattern. Danny stepped back as the kick came, reaching out and grabbing his ankle. The big man twisted to the side while still keeping hold of the leg, sending Gohan down with a dragon screw as he hoped to keep building momentum and in turn frustrating his opponent.
