Emerging Darkness: Selket vs Black Severin

Taken by surprise and dropped to the mat by her opponent with the attack to her leg Selket was left stunned and without much recourse. As such she was unable to get her legs away from Severin as he reached and grabbed them, turning her over after doing so!

"Ngh... gah!" Trying to crawl away from the man and grunting in the process Selket was unsuccessful before she was pinned down and her leg was pulled back, leaving her in a tight and painful submission that all she could do was yell out in pain from it for the time being!

It was definitely the right move. Now that he had it locked in, Severin would maneuver to get a deeper level of control, taking a seat on Selket's back and leaning in that very direction, pulling her leg back to the point her foot was practically hanging over her head, further increasing the strain!

Maybe he'd be able to pull off an upset with this!

No. No, it's never that easy. Someway, somehow, she's gonna figure a way out of this hold. But in the mean time, he could do some serious damage.

Selket was hurting and in a lot of pain right now. Severin's submission doing an unfortunately superb job at damaging her leg but she refused to stay down. Not this early! Gritting her teeth and twisting on the mat to try and roll herself out from under Severin Selket would try and twist her hips while swinging her leg around to try and kick the man in the jaw to make him let go!

The supposed immortal started squirming underneath him. Nothing to worry about right now, Severin thought. He had a secured position on her back, so she wasn't getting out that way anytime soon. Or so he thought.

Selket started pushing up. Just small lifts at first, and then he started getting concerned. When she actually started making some decent headway, his first thought was to wrench her leg back even further. Get her back under control with a nastier dose of pain. But...No. He already had it stretched out pretty far as it was, and he wasn't about to end a woman's a career over a typical Heel start to this match. When she was almost forcing him to stand, his pragmatic side spoke up again. "Bring your ass down on her back; crush her back down!" And again, he didn't listen.

The end result? She would not only force him to stand, but roll herself out from underneath him and onto her back. Shit.

And then she gave her hips a twist and brought her other leg speeding up towards his face. Shit!

Severin released her and just barely ducked under her intended reprisal. He could feel her foot shooting right over his hair. This urged him to err on the side of caution with a backward roll. He wanted to assess the damage before he went back in.

Selket's anger was growing by the moment, her opponent bringing out the very worst in her as he embarrassed and hurt her with the force of his submission hold. Using this anger as fuel Slkt would lift herself up more and more before finally rolling out from under her opponent and kicking her opponent in the face.

Or she had hoped. Instead the man had managed to avoid her blow ducking under it but at last letting her free. "Hagh... huh... damn it." Selket hissed out lowly while pushing herself away and looking to get herself back up to her feet, wincing as she put pressure on her leg and near buckling from the weight on her leg, clearly hobbled by the hold and weakened!

Alright. Damage has definitely been done. A weak point's been made. But Severin knew that he couldn't target it with his very next move. Far too predictable.

Her struggle to stand up straight gave him what felt like a great idea for a follow-up. It would be risky, but he had confidence in his athleticism. Hopefully, those few seconds spent at a distance weren't too many. But one thing was certain: Selket's break was over.

Severin charged forward, and at the last moment, he went high with a powerful leap, hands reaching for her chin as he went up and over. Snap the neck back, the body would follow, and BAM! The back of her head would smack into the mat. That was the plan, at least.

Selket's leg was hurting, badly. Severin's submission hold doing a massive hit to her mobility. Something that she knew would affect her quite negatively the rest of the match, on top of being a massive target. In fact she totally expected which is why she kept her guard low, thinking Severing would target their again, but she was wrong. Instead he went high, grabbing her head and pulling her down, smashing her skull against the mat! "UGHH!" Selket yelled in pain, holding her head and rolling back, kicking her good leg against the mat, totally stunned from the force of the move!

"OHHHH!!!" The crowd groaned in unison as Selket's head spiked into the mat.

Holy shit.

That was all that Severin would allow to cross his mind before he acted. There was no time to be in disbelief. The move worked, so keep it pushing. Keep that pressure on, and he knew just how to do it. First, he'd take the ankle of her injured leg in his hands to lift her up from the mat that way. If that went without a hitch, he'd lift his own to set his booted foot behind her thigh, aiming low. When he combined the slam with a stomp, the damage would be twofold; more for the veteran's thigh while also spreading the pain to her knee.

Seeing stars was the only way that Selket could describe her current state. Everything hurt, her leg especially and she wasn't given any time to process her situation before said hurt leg was grabbed and lifted up before being driven down into the mat with the added force of a stomp from above by Sevrin! "AGHHHHHHHH!" Selket cried out in utter agony, rolling about on the mat, holding her leg in response to the move, screaming loudly and thrashing wildly, unable to do anything in response to Severin's momentum!

Holy shit! He's doing it! He's handling this!

Severin's eyes flashed with a combination of shock and adrenaline. He was on her like a man possessed, operating almost entirely on instinct now. No flash. Nothing extra for the crowd. Just the desperate drive to keep the momentum going against one of LAW's finest. His subconscious plan was enacted the next time Selket rolled onto her back:

Setting a foot down on the ankle of her healthy leg to delay a defensive effort, he reached for his target and wrapped the pit of it around the back of his neck. Now comes the hard part. She was for sure going to fight like hell to keep him from getting her prone, but with the Stretch Muffler part of the equation in hand, he had some leverage. Flex. Squeeze. He could already put some pressure on that injured leg. Maybe force some unwitting compliance.

he'd seen Serina Levesque II -- or Ionia, as she goes by now -- and her trainee Jaclyn maneuver into to really bring the pain and get hands slapping the mat. The "Muffler Crab", as they call it.

Severin knew that if he got that seat on her back, he would really have a shot. Stress the leg -- that thigh and her knee in particular -- and spread it even further to her back with his weight and the way her body would be contorted...Maybe he could even...

Focus. Fight! Get that position and lock it in!
