Gathering clouds - Sunny Soule vs Kodama Suzume

It was hard to put into words how satisfying landing a knee strike felt for Suzume at this moment. Too satisfying in fact as she had to remind herself not to get too cocky again, this woman already proved that it was not something Kodama could quite afford, not yet anyway, she needed to make sure she eliminated all the assets her opponent had before she could enjoy herself like so and she certainly had the plan to do so now.

Having already focused on and crippled one of Sunny's legs, Suzume was going to make it particularly hard for the woman to walk out of the ring on her own as she approached the Hawaiian to turn her on her belly. If not opposed she'd intertwine the woman's legs, making them in a figure four around her own arm with which she'd grab Sunny's foot to pull tight before lifting her up to lock a standing, inverted Texas cloverleaf, this time targeting the woman's uninjured leg to further debilitate her!

Sunny was ailing as she held her chin in pain, trying to block it out and clear the cobwebs in her head from the devastating strike! She laid there, not able to immediately react, and being unable to stop Kodama from maneuvering her how she wanted. The leggy blonde was being pulled onto her stomach and she let out a groan of protest, trying to wriggle out without any shot of breaking out.

And then, in short order, the Breezy Blonde felt her aching legs already being grabbed. And then she was lifted up in the Inverted Texas Cloverleaf, and immediately Soule let out a shriek of pain! She palmed the mat as she was lifted up at a painful angle, shaking her head while she tried to break free! She felt that sharp pain to her leg as she buried her head in the mat, in agonizing pain and not sure what she could even do to escape right now, especially with how fuzzy her mind was still from that blow she had just taken not too much earlier!

Some deep part of Suzume found it wrong how much satisfaction she got out of hearing Sunny's screams of pain, she was no sadist but it was a fight and the blond proved to be a right pain in her ass. Besides, she was a professional, as much as she enjoyed the moment, she knew how far she could go without seriously injuring someone and she had no plan on crossing that line, she was nearly admiring her own handiwork as it were.

Still, it didn't seem like a tap was forthcoming quite yet, Suzume would keep the hold in place for just a moment longer though, then she'd lift Sunny higher with it before slamming her down to the ground with a piledriver. If all went according to plan, she would then get on top, hooking one of the woman's legs to attempt a pin!

Sunny was reaching out for the ropes with one hand, trying to wriggle and fight her way out to find freedom from this painful hold. It was an excruciating experience and she was desperate to put an end to it. With yelps and groans, she swiveled around and slowly tried to get to the ropes. The Breezy Blonde had some grit to her, despite what perceptions people may have had about her.

But then suddenly, she was pulled back and secured against Kodama! And immediately after that, Sunny Soule was dropped onto her head! The pain and knock on the head was stunning the Hawaiian further, leaving her completely dazed and shocked by the sudden drop! And worse yet, Suzume was already on top of her, trying to pin her and get the win! With one of Sunny's pain-stricken legs hooked, the referee went down to count the pin!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THRE-"

Sunny managed to kick out, mustering what remained of her strength knowing that the final count was being made. Shoving Kodama Suzume off enough to elevate her shoulder, Soule would then flop back, letting out a soft groan as she panted.

Suzume was sure that this would be the finishing touch, even if Sunny was conscious enough to kick out, She figured that she would not want to in the first place, not after the hold she was just in, yet the blond was tougher than it would seem. "You sure are stubborn, aren't you?" She commented, getting to her knees before standing up with a sigh. "Unfortunately, it takes more than that"

After saying the last part, Suzume would try dragging the Hawaiian up to her feet to place her in the corner. If she got that far without an interruption, she would take a few steps back before rushing back in, jumping up in the air where she'd spin, aiming a tornado kick right at the side of Sunny's head, hoping it would rattle her brain enough to but an end to it all!

Sunny Soule was still in quite a bit of pain in her aching head and legs now. Her form flopping out of the pinfall, which escaping took a lot out of her as well. With a soft whine, she stayed on the mat, taking deep breaths to try and gather any strength she had at this point. Something that was cut off as Kodama grabbed her and forced her up and then forced her into the corner. Gritting her teeth, Soule was struggling to stay upright.

But Kodama Suzume made a charge, coming at her with a vicious tornado kick. As Suzume's leg went up, Sunny got her strength together and rolled right under the offending limb! Her lithe form sliding under under and then immediately reaching forward to grab Kodama's waist after she collided with nothing but the corner and yanked her back! The Breezy Blonde then came around and locked in a front facelock and then sprung off the bottom rope to get enough speed since her legs weren't going to have the strength on her own.

Then, she proceeded to swing around, looking as though she was going for a Tornado DDT, but instead her body swung around Kodama and she gave a mighty shove of her opponent's shoulders, popping herself into the air! Then, she came down with a thunderous Satellite DDT! The gigantic maneuver she called Up Down All Around! A skull-crushing impact that she hoped could help her sneak a win!

A notion that Sunny could still have fight left in her did not even enter Suzume's mind, she saw the woman struggle in the hold, then barely manage to kick out of a pin and as she dragged the woman into the corner, the lack of resistance only made her more sure of that as she took her position to start on what she was convinced would be the end of the night for her blond opponent.

That was when she was wrong as Sunny managed to duck under the kick and soon Suzume found herself grabbed by the other woman propelled in manoeuvre equal parts confusing to her as it was impossible to stop when it started. Too late she realized what was going on as the swing reached its crescendo after which all the momentum the Hawaiian built went straight into driving her head into the mat!

There was a loud thud, as Suzume hit the ground, her legs being flung into the air as well from the sheer force of the attack before she then flopped back to the ground, back first arms and legs scattering to the side like a marionette that got its strings cut off.

Sunny Soule popped into the air and came down with the Up Down All Around, absolutely smashing Suzume's skull straight into the mat! On impact, the Breezy Blonde would then grab hold of her leg, letting out a cry of pain. That didn't help her ailing limb, but she figured nothing would help it right now. She let out a loud groan under her breath before shaking her head. She needed to gut this out and then started to scoot back to Suzume. She needed to go for a pin. She wasted enough time. Sunny could seal this match right here and end it.

With a loud yell, the Hawaiian would then lea on top of Kodama Suzume. She laid her back on her and grabbed a leg, trying to pin her opponent to the mat and get a win! She cringed, trying to ignore the pain in her leg. Just a little while longer, she needed to hold out, with hope!

The good part about being unconscious was that at the very least, whatever pain you should be feeling from what knocked you out was on pause, not that you could really appreciate that fact nor was Suzume afforded that luxury for as long as the beginning of the count shook her awake with all the torturous pain coming back in a wave, now with an added bonus of a headache so fierce that even the arena lights seemed intent on keeping her down.

"Two!"

Then came the reminder of where she was and what was going on the last time she was awake and luckily it seemed it was just a few seconds that she missed. Still, her body was not quite ready to respond as she wanted it to, she curled her free leg but did not have enough strength quite yet to kick out and though it was slowly getting back to her, she needed it now if it was to matter.

And just then, as the count was about to wrap the whole thing up it stopped as the referee noticed Suzume's leg landing on top of the bottom rope as she managed to extend it to save herself at the last moment, immediately after, trying to roll out from under Sunny to try and get to the corner where she could easier get up and get ready for the rest of the match

Sunny Soule hit the Up Down All Around with great effort, and she felt like she could finally get that out of nowhere win against Kodama Suzume! The Breezy Blonde covered her, just hoping and praying at this point that he gets the three count! And when she thought she had it, she briefly looked elated. Suzume didn't kick out! This mean girl stayed down! But then... she noticed it was a rope break, with notice from the referee!

Covering her face, the Hawaiian let out a loud groan and shook her head. "Duuuuude... That's so uncool..." remarks Sunny as she comes to grips with her win being so close! She panted, holding her leg once more. The blonde wasn't sure how much more she could do any moves that relied too much on her leg. That, unfortunately, removed a lot of her skillset now.

She did notice Suzume starting to crawl away towards the corner though. With a groan of frustration, Sunny started to crawl closer to her, attempting to cut her off before she could get to that corner. She grabbed the back of Kodama's top, impeding Suzume from getting any further. She used it to help leverage both of them to stand up now too. Then, turning, she grabbed her opponent under the chin! "I can't... let you get any further babe..." stated Sunny Soule, sweat dripping off her now. But she would then attempt to pull Kodama's head back over his shoulder. And even further, Sunny would try to sink down low to try locking in her Standing Muta Lock she called Sunny Side Up! A move that she figured was her best chance of securing a win at this point! She needed it now!
