Explaining my absence

Hello, hello, hello!

First things first, I hope you all had a nice Christmas (for those who celebrate it) and a happy holiday. I apologise for being MIA for months. I appreciate those who had shown concern during my absence, so I figured I’d make a post here to explain why I’ve been radio silent for so long.

The long short of it is that I’ve been attacked as I was coming back home. A stabbing. One that could have ended much worse than it could have been. While I’m lucky I’m still alive, I couldn’t move my arm because the tendon got cut. That was the worst out of all the other wounds I got. Luckily still, it was on my forearm, so I still got every part of my body intact.

So most of my time away was spent in recovery. I’m currently not 100% yet and I’m only able to type with one hand, so my posting will be slow until then. But things are improving, I regained feeling in that arm and I can somewhat move it all right. I’m just thankful it was my arm and not my heart. It does mean I can’t play my bass guitar. Since, you know, can’t play with just one hand.

All I ask is just to bear with me while I try to catch up for lost time. I apologise for not letting people in on my situation, and for leaving threads in limbo for months. I don’t intend to go through any more life-threatening events, but if it does, I’ll try to give notice.

Rather than ending this on a dark note, I want to say I am thankful for everyone who has reached out to me, those that I made friends with since I came to LAW. The talks I had, the discussions, for putting up with my questions and for not minding when I flash bang the Discord server. It has been a massive delight and I can't wait to see what the next year will bring. Here's to more awesome threads and more awesome friends!
