Aftermath of Fang vs Jack Reynolds

"I'm sorry Fang...but...I can't just do nothing knowing Jack did this to you...he needs to pay..."

Hiro's resolve remained unshacken. Despite Fang's pleas and her evident distress, Hiro's determination to confront Jack remained steadfast. He knew the risks, but the need to seek justice for Fang and to uphold his own sense of honor and duty outweighed his own concerns for his safety.

"I promise I'll be careful, Fang,"

Hiro said, his voice filled with conviction.

"I won't let my anger cloud my judgment. But I have to do this. For you."

Fang had an expression of fear and concern, but could say no more. Not only because of the injections she was given, but because it was clear to her that Hiro would not be dissuaded. She tried once again to move her arm to reach up and touch Hiro's face. It hurt, and she winced, but she managed to cup his cheek with her one hand.

Seeing Fang trying to cup his face, Hiro would lean down so his lover wouldn't have to exert to much movement. His face closer to her's as Hiro leaned in just to give a soft kiss in the lips. The kiss was brief as Hrip would then caress her cheek and say,

"I love you Fang..."

His voice a bit shaky as he was worried what Fang's condition might be as Hiro would stay with his lover for a but longer while waiting for Sylvia and the doc to show up so he could know what was going on.

Fang was a bit teary-eyed as she quickly kissed Hiro back, but still kept her hand to Hiro's cheek.

"Love you...too, Hiro" Fang said as the two remained in that position before her hand would go back onto the bed. A few more minutes had passed by when Sylva re-entered the room.

"Hey, the doc wants to see you and-" Sylva said to Hiro before noticing her sister was awake, "Fang!" She would move quickly to Fang's side as she tended to her younger sister.

"Hey...Sylva..." Fang meekly said, feeling very tired to respond. As the two sisters talked, the doctor was waiting just at the door for Hiro.

Hiro's eyes glimer at his lover's words. He could watch her for hours, but the moment came to a small haly as Sylvia and the doc had came back from there talk. It was Hiro's turn to hear the news as he smiled and watched the two sisters converse before turning and walking to the doc.

With a sigh, Hiro came to the doc and quietly walked out the room to hear what the doc has to say about Fang's condition. Hiro looks at the doctor, his expression a mix of anticipation and concern.


"So...umm...will she be ok?"

The doctor waited for Hiro to leave the room, to which he closed the door so he could talk to Hiro privately while leaving Sylva and Fang in peace.

"I will want to get the main point addressed first, since I know it will help ease things." the doctor said to Hiro, "But Ms. Lewis can recover from the injuries she received, but it's still uncertain if it is 100%." He paused briefly, saying that while there was a chance, there was a huge but.

"You noticed that Ms. Lewis had that neck brace and looked very groggy." the doctor continued with the discussion, "We had to get her injections to help reduce swelling and inflammation in the affected areas, as well as immobilize her to allow her body to be in an easy position to start healing. To start off with, when she took that final landing hard, her neck had a few pinched nerves. This is easy to remedy, as that neck brace will immobilize her neck and prevent anymore potential injury and let the neck heal eventually. She did suffer a spinal cord compression in the lumbar portion of her spine. This is where it may not be possible she will 100% recover. Right now, we will use medication and injections to help heal that area. We will need to assess again if any surgery is involved in that area. We are hoping that will not be needed and we are certainly hoping that she hasn't lost any ability to use her lower body. From her legs to bladder control." The doctor paused there, letting Hiro take in that information. He was saying there was still a chance Fang could come out of this paralyzed, but it was too early to say.

"Then there are her ribs." the doctor brought up, "A lot of pressure was applied to these areas, making them a bit compressed. I would assume that Ms. Lewis' training and a healthy intake of calcium prevented those bones from breaking, but there is a potential risk that any slight pressure right now could result in severe fractures. We will provide treatment, if needed, but usually this will heal on its own without issue."

At the end of the assessment shared, there was good news and potential bad news. Fang's neck and ribs could recover, but the jury was still out if her lower spine could heal completely.

"Ms. Lewis will need to stay with us for a while, as after she rests and heals, she will need some physical therapy just to get her limbs and muscles in working order, as she will be in that bed for most of her stay." the doctor brought up.

The information the doctor was telling Hiro left him concerned and overwhelmed over the uncertainty of Fang's recovery. Just the thought of seeing his beloved potentially paralyzed thoughout her life brought sadness to him. The weight of the situation and the potential long-term effects on Fang's quality of life likely felt like an unbearable burden.

After the assessment, Hiro would sigh...feeling a whole mixture of emotions right now.

"Is there anything I can do?"

Hiro asked, his voice reflecting a deep desire to support Fang through the challenges that lay ahead.

"I know that this has come as a nasty shock, and I understand you wish to help." the doctor said, making sure to make things easier and less stressful for Hiro, "But right now there is an equal amount of uncertainty that she won't end up with permanent spinal injuries as there is that she could. Until we proceed with the treatments, all that can be done for now is to give her the needed emotional support while she rests and moves as little as possible." It was a bit cliche, and not really satisfactory, but considering how there were other variables that were not conclusive, for all they knew, Fang could walk out of that hospital within a couple of days, just fine.

"However, in the event that she won't suffer permanent injuries, she will still be left immobilized for some time." the doctor continued, "She will need to engage in some physical exercises to help regain control of her muscles that will be left laxed as a result of not moving around. Since you are a wrestler, I assume you engage in training. Perhaps, should we know that her injuries are not permanent, you can one of the people to help her go through training to help with both her healing and ability to move and use her muscles properly."

Hiro nodded at the doc's last response. He was willing to do whatever it takes to help Fang in her time of need.

"I can definitely help her with Physcial Therapy and ill be right by her side until she recovers...Thank you, doctor,"

Hiro said, his mind racing with worry for Fang.

"I'll do whatever it takes to support her through this."


Hiro looked inside the room to see Sylvia and Fang continuing to converse. With a silent promise to himself, Hiro would be Fang's unwavering support...while also promising to himself that he will make sure the person who put his lover in this situation will pay...Hiro would leave the hospital room...looking to prepare and train for what may be Hiro's next couple of fights.
