A long time coming! Ashley vs Kathleen

After the huge success of her first two matches back in LAW, even if she still wasn't quite proud of one of them, Ashley was quickly put to work again in another match; and this one was quite an interesting matchup indeed. Her opponent was Kathleen Hendricks, a heel that was as nasty as they came and one that Ashley had wanted to fight for a while despite the fact that they had never met. Two years back Kathleen had a match with Ashley's childhood hero Alaina Sanders-Haines and had made a point of injuring her before the fight, leading to an unearned victory over the Amazon. The victory may not have been earned, but the ire this act had built up among LAW fans was more than earned. By this point Ashley had already entered her temporary retirement from LAW, but seeing that match almost made her come back just to get her hands on Kathleen.

In the time since then Ashley's anger had subsided, but she was still glad for the chance to get back at Kathleen for that and show her that there was no room in professional wrestling for those who use underhanded tactics and disrespect their opponents. This determination would put a spring in her step as she made her way out to the ramp to the adoration of the LAW fans, taking time to do her signature fist pump to get a pop from the crowd before marching down the ramp with a serious look on her face. Kathleen represented every quality that Ashley hated in heel wrestlers, and getting a win over her here would make a strong statement against women like her so she was uncharacteristically single-minded as she entered the ring.

Instead of her usual crowd appealing she would simply walk into the corner and rest against it until her music faded away, watching the entrance like a hawk to get her first look at Kathleen.

"Unearned". How many times has she had to hear that? That she cheated to win her match against Alaina Sandra-Haines. Sure, she and her muscle in Jack had attacked Alaina backstage prior, but what happened in that ring could not be denied except by only the most morally righteous... and stupid. Like it or not, Kathleen made Alaina suffer in that ring, battering her without remorse, and hitting her with the Culmination to pick up the win. One of the last few women to defeat her before she won the Heavyweight title. And now, she had women such as Ashley Lucas trying to deny her accomplishment. No matter. This was a match that the Queen had wanted for years, and Ashley's name was one written on her List of Domination in the hopes of facing her one day. And now, it seemed their mutual want for a match led to them being booked together, and now, the Queen could teach this out-of-practice idiot some respect, and cross off another name.



Next out after Ashley came the Queen of Domination. Her reign of terror so far on the women's division hadn't gone unnoticed by them, who met her with boos and jeers, none of which budged her. Instead, her cold-hearted stare laid right onto her opponent in the ring, and she walked right down the ramp to get to her. She was never much for theatrics anyway, only caring about what happened inside that ring. Climbing up onto the apron and stepping between the ropes into it, Kathleen didn't waste time stepping forward and getting right into Ashley's face, even as the referee tried to separate them.

"Took your time in getting back here," Kathleen snarled, eyes cold as they peered into the blonde's. "I hope those long years you took hiding from challengers were spent well. Because I am not those pathetic women you beat in that tournament, and if you think you can coast off beating the likes of them, I will crush you." There was clearly more bad blood here than a typical match, even without Kathleen ever having met Ashley before, but with those brown eyes glimmering with hatred, it seemed there was nothing more the Queen wanted to do right now than to take this woman down.

Ashley had been watching Kathleen's entrance closely to get a good look at her opponent for the night, but once the heel made it to the ring it became clear that the blonde needn't have bothered as Kathleen got right in her face. For a moment Ashley's face flashed with shock, as was natural when your personal space was very suddenly invaded, but just as quickly as she had lost it she would retain her composure and meet the heel's glare back with one of her own "I wasn't hiding from anyone, nor am I coasting off of anything. If you're expecting me to be washed up or out of practise then I'm going to have to disappoint you." To highlight her words Ashley would take a step forwards, closing what little distance there was between them so that their chests were pressed together and their noses were almost touching. Much to the dismay of the poor referee who was still trying to separate them.

"Thanks in advance for helping me prove that I've still got it, though" Ashley grinned, showcasing the confidence she held even with a woman of Kathleen's calibre staring into her soul.

Kathleen would commend Ashley on one fact. Face-to-face, she did not back down. If anything, she welcomed the confrontation, stepping up and having their chests press. If that was merely confidence, or pure stupidity, they would have to find out soon. Ashley wasn't a pushover prior to her 'retirement' - Kathleen didn't like to deal with weaklings - but the woman she was staring down was a different beast to the woman she had faced before. In her time in LAW, she had accomplished things her opponent only dreamt of. Such as defeating Alaina Sandra-Haines.

The referee's chatter of the two separating was merely a whisper as Kathleen stood there, eyeing down the blonde. At any moment, she could strike, but instead of doing that... her eyes finally looked towards the ref, and she put her hands up, slowly backing away. "I'll either prove you've still got it, or that you should've never returned to this ring," she said, allowing the official to step between the two and quickly check them, before ringing the bell.

*DING DING!*

The tension between the two was so thick you could cut through it with a knife, and for a moment it seemed like the referee might have needed one to separate the two of them before Kathleen would be the one to break things off, much to the shock and relief of the referee. Though the gap that now existed between them would be filled with the heel's chilling words, and though Ashley's expression didn't waver the threat behind them would send chills down her spine.

Ashley didn't have too long to linger on her words however as the bell would ring seconds later. Not wanting to let Kathleen dictate the pace of the match she would seek to make the first move, stepping in while rearing her arm back before whipping it towards Kathleen's chest with the intent of smacking it with a knife edge chop!

Kathleen could've gone for the cheap shot, or merely stood there, forcing the referee to ring the bell with them this close together. But instead, she opted for the 'respectful' approach, backing into her corner for a clean break, allowing her chilling words to serve as her barb before the match officially begun. She wanted to 'earn' this victory over Ashley, and show her just how capable she truly was, and thus was going to play this clean... for now, at least.

As the bell rung, Kathleen began to move in, only to let out a hiss as what awaited her was not a grapple, but a chop right to her chest! And while she was more conservative in her attire than Ashley, she still had skin bared on her chest, which stung from that knife edge chop. Stalwart in her stance however, the Queen soon fired back, opting for an open-handed chop right to the center of the blonde's open chest! Chops typically weren't her style, but if Ashley wanted to go that route, she'd leave her chest red if she had to!

Normally Ashley would start her matches off with a grapple like Kathleen was expecting, usually a test of strength or lock up, but the tension Ashley was feeling coming into this fight compelled her to act more impulsively than usual and so she led with an aggressive strike! Kathleen clearly didn't enjoy taking that strike but it wasn't exactly a knockout blow either, so she would quickly return the favour with a chop of her own to Ashley's chest "Nngh...!"

Ashley grunted as she took a step back, breasts shaking from the impact. The blonde gritted her teeth and reared her hand back one more time, stubbornly deciding to see her hot headed offense to the end with another chop swung in retaliation at Kathleen's chest. If the move hit then Ashley would seek to press her advantage by immediately throwing another chop, and if that hit before Kathleen could counter she would throw a third with a battle cry "Orah!"

Chopping battles were not something Kathleen typically abided. Yet it seemed now she was being forced into one, and she wasn’t going to back down now. Each chop that came in from Ashley stung bad, searing the exposed skin of her chest like she was dragged across hot asphalt, and was accompanied by a pained cry from the Queen. Each making her step back, with the third making her stumble backward. Yet she refused to let herself hit the ropes, stomping down and raising her head to give the blonde a fierce glare.

And with eyes locked, Kathleen gripped the black tape wrapped around the wrist of her right hand and quickly tore it off. No clothing or fabric was going to restrict the Queen’s retaliation, who stepped right back in and threw a haymaker of a chop to the exposed chest of Ashley’s! And then another if it was a success, trying as though to smack the skin off of her rival, before raising both hands up and thrusting them down for a double-handed slap right down onto the chest and collarbones of Ashley’s, accompanied with her own cry of effort!

The striking exchange between the two fighters continued with Ashley landing three consecutive chops on Kathleen's chest and forcing the dark haired woman on the retreat. Kathleen was not so easily deterred however and struck back with an extra strong chop that caught Ashley right in the middle of her chest where her skin was exposed, making the blonde cringe in pain and bite her lip so as to not give her opponent the satisfaction of hearing her cry in pain. An effort that would prove to be made in vain as the second chop struck her by now already red chest and forced a yelp out of her as she stumbled back awkwardly.

"Eeyah!"

Kathleen wasn't done however, and would finish off her combo with a big slap to Ashley's upper chest, and with her feet already unstable from the frantic backsteps the first two hits were forcing her to do she would fall back as her hands shot up to soothe the struck area. Thanks to Kathleen's attacks Ashley's cleavage window had become a map of where the chops had landed against her bare skin, making Ashley regret her outfit choice for the first time in her LAW career as she laid vulnerably for Kathleen to punish however she saw fit.

Kathleen was a skilled striker, but hadn’t been on a striking exchange like that, attacking one’s chest with chops. But after coming out the victor… she kinda liked it. Her own skin was red where Ashley had struck, but the blonde seemed worse for wear, with her chest bared and contained a lot more loosely. Such a window allowed for the Queen to put down her opponent… and now she was going to take advantage.

“Is that all?!” Kathleen bitterly spat, unwrapping her other wristband and tossing it off, baring her wrists, before reaching down to grab onto a wrist of Ashley’s along with her blonde hair, hoisting her back up.

Keeping a clutch on her wrist, Kathleen used her other hand to fire off another knife edge chop right to Ashley’s red chest, just for that extra bit of pain, before irish whipping towards the ropes. And if she came bouncing off of them, Kathleen was ready, leaping and thrusting her knee forward to blast the blonde with a knee strike right to her chest! Attacking her sore area with more strikes, to really put the pain into the woman who spent so long ducking her in the ring, as if to tell her that maybe she shouldn’t have come back!
