WFPW MATCH: Astrid Ostberg vs. Lydia Donelle

Lydia was hurting, but she was determined, wanting nothing more than to try and utterly destroy Astrid and she was so close. All she had to do was throw Astrid off her shoulders and send her crashing into the mat for her finisher. Yet everything was working against her right now as she tried to do so. The pain in her spine burning up and down, the aching soreness in her arms, and most of all Astrid's incessant struggling within her grasp, making it harder and harder to do any of what she needed to do. Soon the shaking would get more and more, and eventually Lydia just couldn't maintain it any longer as Astrid broke her legs free from her grip and swung out behind her, landing deftly while all Lydia could do was stumble forward, seemingly stunned and totally vulnerable with her back totally open to Astrid!

At this point in the match, anything could happen. Everyone knew that, and everyone was at the edge of their seat to see what might happen next! Any move could have been the last, as everyone was well aware. Both Astrid and Lydia had seen many a close call thus far, and both of them had been worn down thanks to the grueling efforts both women had put themselves through. But even when it looked like Lydia had Astrid set up perfectly for her finisher, the Norsewoman still found the strength in her she needed to slip out - and to turn everything around! With Astrid at last breaking free of Lydia's clutches, the whole arena burst into cheers. Not only because the fan-favorite Astrid was still in the game - but also because this meant she was free. And with Astrid free, it looked as though retribution was just around the corner!

Astrid took a moment to shake herself out - she rocked her neck back and forth and rotated her shoulders to work the kinks out of her weary muscles. When she heard the cheers and chants coming down toward her from the stands, she stood a little taller, straightening her back and planting her fists on her hips as she turned to the sound with a smile on her face. But Astrid wasn't just here to mug for the camera. When her eyes settled on Lydia, they narrowed into a glare, and she let out a huff as she took a step closer, then another, closing the distance. Now she had her chance. She knew all eyes were on her. She wasn't going to waste it!

"I'm sorry," she muttered under her breath as she brought her hands up to crack her knuckles, "but you're out of luck!" Stretching her arms out to the side to ready herself, Astrid at last sprung her attack on her defenseless foe. With her already impressive strength tempered by the adrenaline that could only come from hearing all her cheers of the fans, Astrid grabbed Lydia under the arms, bent at the knees to ready herself - and, with one sharp shove, hoisted her off her feet and straight into the air! The fans could only gasp at such a display of Astrid's incredible power. And Astrid herself would throw back her head and belt out a battle cry, just before she hurled Lydia to the mat with all her might, in a crucifix powerbomb!

Lurching forward stunned from her last clash with Astrid everything was hazy and fuzzy for the silver haired veteran. The damage she had taken throughout the match had taken its toll extensively on her and left her in a dizzied, discombobulated and utterly vulnerable at the hands of the former heavyweight champion! An opportunity Astrid would waste no time acting on as she surged forward, grabbing Lydia's arms and pulling them back while lifting her onto her back in a last burst of strength and power all while Lydia became aware of her position all too late to actually do anything about it! "Huh? wha? No!" Lydia cried out in realization before getting launched forward and driven into the mat with thunderous force! "GAHHHHH!!!" Screaming out in pain from the impact while her legs hung over her head for a moment it wouldn't take long before she would fall over onto her side, seemingly out of it!

Lydia had hit the ring with what felt like explosive force, and as she did, the whole arena lit up in a cheer. Lydia had definitely proven herself to be a worthy opponent for the Norsewoman, and she had put Astrid in danger more than once. Astrid had faced her fair share of moments where it looked like she was only a hair's breadth from a crushing defeat. But despite it all, she had found the fighting spirit in her to steel herself, determined not to fall behind in front of a whole new audience, and against an opponent so despicable that to let her win felt like a betrayal of all she believed in. Now, at last, she was taking things back - and she was putting Lydia in her place! That comeback proved all the more exciting when it was so sorely earned!

When she heard the cheers of the fans, and the groans in pain that came from her opponent as she deflated against the canvas, Astrid looked up with a smile. At last, all was well with the world. Now, though, she only had one thing left to do - and she turned back to face her opponent with a determined glare. With Lydia so shaken, Astrid was sure she would be in no shape to fight back - and that was why she chose that moment to go in for the kill, throwing herself down on top of her opponent. She landed with a thump as her body crashed into Lydia's own, which was enough to shake the ring in and of itself, but then she moved to hook her leg for the pin! The referee followed close behind to go for the count, and with every number that was called, the fans called back to echo it!

"ONE!!"

Darkness permeated Lydia's vision after getting spiked into the mat by Astrid's crucifix powerbomb, a move that she didn't even know was in the blonde's arsenal and it left her laid out and out of it. Eyes fluttering as consciousness faded in and out for her things were slowly becoming muted for her, to the point that she wasn't even aware of Astrid above her or the woman dropping down on top of her as the ref started to count, beginning a pinfall that could possibly end this whole thing! All while Lydia was utterly powerless to do anything about it, trying with all her might just to stay conscious!

Now, Astrid was just moments away from the big finish - and with it, she could feel the rush of adrenaline pumping through her veins with every thump of her heart. Her muscles pulled taut, her arm coiling closer around Lydia's leg as she leaned in just a little bit more to narrow the distance between herself and her opponent in order to push her shoulders down even more firmly against the canvas. She couldn't leave anything to chance! She knew that Lydia was a tricky and deceitful foe, as she'd shown multiple times through this match. But Astrid was determined to take her down once and for all, and show her that she wasn't going to fall for her tricks any longer! The cheers echoing through the arena were enough to tell her that all the fans were on her side, and all of them were counting on her to put Lydia in her place and to set the matter right. She couldn't let them down!

"THREE!!"

And with that, it was over! As soon as the referee made the final call, the arena burst out into cheers even before the bell was rung. Astrid let go of Lydia there, throwing her head back and rising to her knees as she pumped her fists in the air and bellowed out a cry of victory! No matter what lengths Lydia had to go to to try and stop her, Astrid's strength, skill, and dedication would always prevail. And now, she had proved that point in front of a capacity crowd, halfway across the world!
