Clash of Goddesses: Quetzalcoatl vs. Aphrodite

The knee strike worked. This juggernaut of a woman could be toppled with the right application of her own power. All Aphrodite had to do was avoid getting hit by monstrous blows and attacks that she could win this match hands down without any issue. This was easier said than done as the fierce attitude and style of Quetzalcoatl made it, so she lived up to the name of the sun goddess, forcing Aphrodite to avoid more than she typically had to. Aphrodite would have rather her opponent been a tad less aggressive, allowing her to have a bit more freedom of movement when it came to her own offensive.

Case in point was the retaliation for the knee strike to the stomach, raising her arm out to try and take off her head with a lariat. Already, the lovely blonde knew that any strike, even if it was to the chest, it'd still hurt terribly if it hit. That's why Aphrodite wasn't going to be and so dived under as low as she could to try and get behind her, wrapping her arms around the waist in attempt to counter her. She wasn't of course able to do something like a bear hug considering the strength difference, but she could do something else, leveraging both her strength and weight to try to perform a simple suplex.

Quetzalcoatl executed her lariat with as much force as possible but her opponent dodged it without too much trouble by stooping. If the sun goddess dominated in terms of strength, the other goddess dominated in terms of speed and reflex. This turned the match in favor of the Goddess of Beauty who was quick enough to counterattack, using a simple suplex but that was enough to remind Quetzalcoatl that the match was not as easy as she thought.

"Aargh... It's starting to suck!"

Quetzalcoatl sat up stroking her shoulder which hit herself against the ground during the suplex and slightly distanced herself from her adversary. If those attacks couldn't reach her even in melee, she should play it smarter and catch it.

Aphrodite rolled away after getting off her suplex, moving to one knee as she stood now away from her competition. Her breathing was going back to normal after such strained activity, watching Quetzalcoatl like a hawk a top a mountain would peer at a mouse. Of course, this mouse had enough muscle to obliterate the hawk back, continuing to breath nice and steady as she got back up on to her feet. This stare off was different however, no longer just two fighters unwounded by each other at the start of the match. Now there was attrition, both battling each other for supremacy of one another.

"What's the matter, amazed at my holy radiance," Aphrodite mocked. There was always time for this, regardless of how things were going, and right now the supposed goddess of love felt like her back was about to go out at any minute after that bearhug at the start of the match, "Or are you all spent and I'll have to finish this for the both of us?"

Quetzalcoatl looked her opponent in the eyes and could notice that her gaze had changed compared to the start of the match. She didn't look as weak, hesitant and angry as before, her gaze was that of the predator, that meant that she saw Quetzalcoatl as prey? The sun goddess smiled slightly feeling that the match was becoming more and more a challenge, she was there to face strong women, if the other goddess was strong thanks to her speed then this fight could only please the most!

But the problem was that the other woman was really faster than her, quick enough to dodge and counter Quetzalcoatl. She therefore had to be patient, slowly walking towards her opponent by opening her arms wide around her and strategically closing in on her to force her back into a corner, reducing her opponent's movements to make her easier to catch. .

"Hmmmm... You speak a lot for someone who couldn't stand a simple bearhug...!"

"You got lucky, but you ain't that bad. You're going to have to try harder than that to make me tap sun goddess," spoke in response as they returned back from patronizing each other to gearing ready to fight once more against each other. This was a fight that even those that weren't fans of the two fighters were cheering for, speed versus strength, a match that proved a challenge for both of them as the two were set to collide again, Aphrodite watching for weakness but finding it hard. The fellow blonde was strong, maybe too strong for her she thought in the back of her mind, but she couldn't dissuade herself. The goddess of love would win, and she'd show her that love truly conquered all.

Aphrodite would press forward until she was stopped, Quetz using her size and reach to essentially box her into a corner in terms of movement, looking for ways to get away from the corner. Her footwork was quick even with no punches being thrown yet, but that did little as it appeared like her foe was attempting to repeat the start of their match. This was something that could not happen, and so Aphrodite, filled with adrenaline and willing to do whatever it took, charged out to grapple and take the gamble, hoping to grab Quetz and take her down to the mat. It would not be easy.

Fortunately, Quetz is trained to fight with her best friend, Astrea. Thanks to her, she had learned how to box and especially how to defend herself against a more agile opponent. The goddess of love was just as fast as her friend and it was fortunate, it allowed her to implement what she had seen during her training and it worked perfectly, Aphrodite was now back against the wall and did not could not escape from her grip.

She was forced to face Quetzalcoatl and the sun goddess knew it, the two women grabbed each other and finally began to move back towards the center of the ring. It was at this moment that Aphrodite and Quetz threw themselves at each other, both trying to pin the other to the ground and be able to crush the other with their weight. Although Quetzalcoatl was stronger, strength was not going to do everything and her opponent could very well use her speed and cunning to gain the advantage during this fall.

Both Aphrodite and Quetz flung each to the ground as the goddess of love made her move, deciding not to let herself be caught in the same horrid and powerful bearhug that had caught her at the start of the match. While her skills on the mat were proficient, her strength was not when up to the task of having to deal with her opponent, struggling as Quetz was slowly starting to win out against her if not for the speed of which she was able to change positions. Through it all, fists would be thrown, not aimed at anything in particular save for strikes to the arm and sides. The supposed goddess of love was trying to push out towards the side, trying to get out from the face-to-face battle the two were engaged in, constantly rolling around as they jockeyed for a good position.

"Grrrrhhh!!" she growled out, though it sounded more like a groan as her muscles felt like they were on fire, just like when she had fought Honey, only this time she was able to fight back at the least when it came to direct wrestling. The arm was her goal, the left one, attempting to bring her arms around and put Quetz into a chokehold submission.

Quetzalcoatl was a fairly versatile wrestler but she excelled in the aerial style and loved to fight like a powerhouse. Despite her physique and her fighting style, she was really less powerful in a ground fight and this could be seen in this match, Aphrodite managed to hold the Frenchwoman with her arms while Quetzalcoatl was much stronger than her.

"Gnnnh... I must admit, you're not such an easy opponent to beat!..."

The sun goddess looked at her opponent with a small smile and began to stand up on her knees as her arms continued to push her opponent, she knew that fighting while lying down was not to her advantage whereas if she was on her knees , she would perhaps be able to regain the upper hand in this match if she did not let go of the goddess of love.

Aphrodite muscles were indeed on fire, and slowly starting to give out as she was starting to lose out on this battle of will and endurance. Her strength hadn't been cutting it, but now her endurance was starting to utterly fumble as Quetz held out for longer than the Aphrodite could keep up the pressure. If this continued, the curvy blonde wouldn't be able to hold out for much longer and would eventually give Quetz way.

So, in typical Aphrodite fashion, a hail mary was made, a play for which she wasn't sure would work at all. With a quick bit of a jump, she'd try to fall on her back, use the momentum and weight of her foe to try and flip her over with a monkey flip, pressing both feet together and right into Quetz's stomach. If this was worked, she'd flip the big girl right over her like it was nothing.

Quetzalcoatl was quite confident from the start of the match and even though she provoked her opponent on numerous occasions for her lack of strength, her speed and technicality were enough to put the sun goddess at risk. Clearly, Aphrodite was worthy of being called a goddess just like Quetzalcoatl, even if they were both very different.

Even though the Frenchwoman's victory was fast approaching thanks to her position, Aphrodite found a way to use Quetzalcoatl's body against herself and push her back with a Monkey Flip, causing the sun goddess to fall onto the mat with a little sigh in pain. The match would have to last a few more minutes and even if Quetz was stronger and more enduring than her opponent, she also exhausted herself over time and became less strong, less resistant and above all less strong. She got up anyway with a sigh, wiping the sweat from her forehead while waiting for her opponent to get up to know what to do next.
