It felt like she would never get used to this.
The muffled, blaring sound of the announcer's voice echoing from the arena and down the hall, and the cheering of a hyped-up audience that always ensued. The uncertainty of how the upcoming fight would play out, especially on a night like this, where she had never even laid eyes on her opponent. This pre-match anxiety that stirred within her as the silver-haired girl stared back at her own reflection, hands placed stiff on either end of the table as she watched her own gaze dance up and down, back and forth as she mustered her wavering confidence. She ultimately brought her hands up to adjust her light purple hair bow, before breathing in a deep sigh.
".. Fuck."
This lapse in her ego would only last temporarily. As soon as she set foot out into the arena, she was as confident as ever. She still detested every second of this, impatiently waiting for her cue that would summon her to the ring.
After what felt like an eternity, that cue eventually came, hearing the announcer beginning the introduction of the Silver Wolf over the speakers. One last, pink bubble would protrude from her lips as she headed through the door, spitting her gum into the bin on the way out.
Spoiler
The Silver Wolf would eventually reach the ring, gracefully leaping onto the mat and rolling under the ropes as she waved to the audience once more in a spin, before finding a comfortable corner opposite to the ramp, leaning against it in wait for her opponent.
