Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Those who think that breaking a pin is the most difficult thing are very mistaken. Yes, it is really difficult to break a pin, because it requires unshakable willpower. However, the most difficult thing always follows after that, because after the pin is broken, the fighter must find the strength to continue fighting.
Even though Karen was able to stay in the match, it didn't mean that the pain left her body. Lying on her left side, she could still feel the effects of her opponent's attacks. And although HEAT certainly spent a significant amount of effort to maintain her high pace, hardly anyone was willing to argue with the fact that now the Hawk Moth is in much worse condition than her rival.
Because of this, HEAT had enough time to push Karen in the back and force her to be on her stomach. Without any delay, the Japanese-American girl put her knee between Karen's shoulder blades, and then closed both palms on her chin. What followed was obvious. The blue-haired girl pulled the Hawk Moth's head and upper body back.
"UUMMMMHHH!!!" Karen let out a painful groan through clenched teeth.
First of all, she threw both hands up in order to grab her opponent's palms. Trying to loosen her grip, she also strained her neck in order to start resisting this submission hold. However, quite quickly the Japanese girl realized that it would take too much time. She couldn't afford to keep getting hurt.
"Kuso!" Sounded in her head.
Trying to get to the ropes wasn't an option either. So Karen decided to change tactics. Still holding her opponent's palms, she held her breath and, overcoming the pain, directed the force into her legs. The Hawk Moth intended to force herself to rise above the mat even though HEAT's knee was pressed against her shoulder blades.
She knew that even if she succeeded, she would not be able to inflict significant damage on her opponent, but at that moment Karen was only thinking about creating at least some distance between them. And therefore, if she had managed to rise above the mat, she would have gathered her strength and leaned forward sharply, simultaneously trying to pull the blue-haired girl by the hands in order to flip HEAT over her head with a kind of snapmare!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
HEAT Mihoko was riding high, and almost literally on top of Karen. Pulling back on that chin lock, she aimed to lay on even more pain into her. She kept wanting to wear down the Hawk Moth, and each passing moment she was doing just that. "You can quit if you want, you know! I'm just too much for you!" exclaimed HEAT cruelly. She wanted Aoki-Justice to feel that emotional pain as well. The mental toll it would take on Karen could not be underestimated.
Karen would begin to make headway though, pushing put off the mat. Soon, HEAT's balance with her knee between Aoki-Justice's shoulders, pulling her leverage point off. With a grunt and groan, she tried to keep her knee there, but the higher that her opponent rose, the more difficult it was for her! "You...! Get...!"
And then, in a quick motion, Karen Aoki-Justice managed to whip Mihoko up and over her in a sloppy sort of Snapmare! The Hot-Blooded Fighter went up and over, landing on her tailbone with a loud groan. She scowled, sitting in position for a moment. But she couldn't let Karen get a leg up on her now. She had to get back to moving before her foe recovered!
Fortunately for HEAT, that attack didn't burn her out nearly as much, and she was still fired up. She pushed up to her feet and then put a hand to the small of her back, taking a few steps forward before looking at Karen, sneering at her. "Eat it!" shouted Mihoko, taking a second to line up her opponent.
Then, she would rub right at Karen, looking to fire back before the Hawk Moth could recover! She would leap up high and whip her body around, trying to smash her opponent in the head with a spinning heel kick! It would be a hard enough blow if she hit it to keep Karen down all over again and further damage her already hurt head! And that was precisely what HEAT Mihoko wanted now--to keep her hot streak going.

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Hardly anyone would dare to say that it was a great success for Karen. Yes, despite all the protests and resistance of HEAT, the Japanese girl managed to throw her rival off. But this only slightly improved her deplorable situation, nothing more. Breathing heavily due to the effects of all the attacks she had to go through, Karen remained on all fours. However, despite all the pain that filled her body, she knew that she had to get to her feet, otherwise all her efforts would be in vain.
So she had to force herself to push off the mat and get up on one knee. Karen started to get to her feet, firmly intending to straighten up to her full height and finally give a worthy rebuff to this loud self-confident girl. There was only one problem. By the time Karen started to straighten up, HEAT was already on her feet.
Moreover, the blue-haired girl, clearly confident that she was better than Karen in absolutely everything, took a position for a kick, which was probably intended to knock everything out of Karen's head that was left there. And although the Japanese girl still has not got rid of the headache, HEAT's heel, rapidly approaching her head, did not escape from her sharp gaze.
Fueled by anger, the Hawk Moth bent her knees and instead of straightening up to her full height, ducked. Because of that HEAT's heel passed over her head. At that moment, flames seemed to dance in the emerald eyes of the Japanese girl. She wanted to finally let her opponent know that if she was counting on an easy victory, then she would have to think again. Because Karen didn't think at all that HEAT was too much for her.
"Kore o toru!"
In any other situation, Karen would have used some distance in order to gain more speed. However, she didn't have time for that right now. She could only channel as much strength as possible into her legs. With a loud exhalation, she intended to push off with her feet from the mat in order to jump up and forward like a frog.
The Hawk Moth intended to take advantage of her opponent's first unsuccessful attack, because it was a chance that she had no right to miss. Sharply bending her right leg at the knee, she was going to pull it up and send it straight into HEAT's face! Most people knew it as a high knee strike, but Karen herself considered it her signature move and, given the consequences this attack has for the head, she called it the hangover!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
HEAT had been dominant so far in this match, with one strike potentially being all she needed to take Karen Aoki-Justice out. A flurry of offense from Mihoko had been blistering to the Hawk Moth, and the Spinning Heel Kick was going to be the thing HEAT was convinced would take Karen out.
But shocking for HEAT Mihoko, her boot didn't connect with Karen Aoki-Justice's skull. Instead, the Hot-Blooded Fighter soared over her, and continued to go in motion before she hit the mat, landing on her hands and knees. She missed, and immediately HEAT was in panic mode, starting to scramble back to her feet to meet Karen again!
She'd find another way to smash her head--she just needed to act before the Hawk Moth did. Gritting her teeth, she turned and rose. And she rose directly into that High Knee Strike. HEAT's body went stiff and she lulled from side to side briefly, rocking back onto her heels as the rest of her body doubled over.
And then Mihoko fell, landing on her back. Blinking repeatedly, HEAT would put a hand to her jaw, groaning as she tried to clear the cobwebs out. She got caught with a vicious strike now--any and all momentum had been sapped as the girl was trying to collect herself and center her mind again. Needless to say, Karen Aoki-Justice had finally gotten the break she needed.

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Karen definitely deserved applause at the moment when her knee crashed into her opponent's face because it was her first successful attack since the start of the match. The first, but, as she hoped, not the last. The result of her success was that HEAT collapsed on her back, while Karen landed on her feet, albeit slightly swaying due to the pain in her body.
The Japanese girl wanted to rest at least a little. The temptation to take a few seconds to catch her breath was very strong. However, the Hawk Moth understood that this would give her rival an opportunity to rest, too, especially considering that the blue-haired girl had already begun to recover.
No, this is not the time to rest.
The only thing Karen did was fill her lungs with air in order to at least slightly reduce the pain, and then she turned around. Surely her knee caused her opponent's headache and dizziness, but something told her that HEAT would try to get to her feet as quickly as possible in an attempt to regain control.
And so Karen ran to the far ropes. She was still lagging behind her opponent and therefore she intended to make sure that her every attack would be tough enough so that in the very near future their positions in this match would be completely equalized.
At the last step, Karen intended to turn around and fall back on the ropes in order to bounce off them the next second. Thus, she wanted to get even more speed and rush to her opponent. The Hawk Moth wanted to catch HEAT before she was fully on her feet. And if Karen had been fast enough, it is unlikely that anything would have prevented her from pushing off the mat and raising her left knee. Yes, that's right, there was no secret in this, she again intended to hit her opponent in the face, this time with another of her signature moves, which she called the zip-zap, although many people knew it as a running knee strike!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
HEAT Mihoko had simply taken one stiff blow, and that was enough to keep her laying. She had no doubt her opponent was very satisfied with that, and was currently taking a break she would desperately need in that match. And the Hot-Blooded Fighter was certainly looking like she could use a break herself. All of that adrenaline to a quick stop while her head was still trying to form into a single thought: get up.
But it wasn't so simple. The shared momentum between them was enough to rattle her skull quite a bit, and HEAT was barely able to even push a hand at her side to try pushing herself up. She groaned, her other hand resting on her aching head. She would get up, and she would get right back to work. There was no way Karen Aoki-Justice was already up and at it again. And when she came to her, Mihoko would be sure to blast her with more offense. ...Just in a minute, because her head was still spinning.
Sitting up, HEAT began to take deep breaths. A few more to get oxygen in her brain and clear things up. And then she'd have the balance to get back into this match. But with that clarity came the realization of the danger she was in. Her eyes were wide, seeing the Hawk Moth already sprinting at her. She couldn't believe Karen was already charging at her. Was HEAT out of it for that long? Nonetheless, she was helpless to do anything. The hand holding her head went to block the strike, but it only barely managed to block a bit of it.
She was smashed in the face with the running knee strike, and Mihoko went flat on her back once more! The fiery and fiesty wrestler was already onto her back again, right back in the same situation she was in before--only her head hurt even more now as she let out a low groan of pain and frustration. Karen would certainly have her break, or at the very least, have a very nice advantage at the moment as her opponent was seeing stars.

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Karen has never been known for too much strength or overly impressive speed. She knew perfectly well that there were fighters who were clearly superior to her in certain parameters. However, she tried to make sure that literally all her physical parameters are in perfect balance. Thanks to this, she had the opportunity to surprise her rivals, because being inferior to them in just one or two things, she almost always surpassed them in everything else.
Karen received a very large amount of damage due to a series of attacks by her opponent. However, she would never have forgiven herself if she hadn't at least tried to do something about it. Given her humiliating defeat by Barbara, the Hawk Moth wanted this match to open a new chapter in her career.
Therefore, instead of resting, she decided to strengthen her onslaught, hoping that her first knee blow stunned HEAT sufficiently enough. When she bounced off the ropes, she immediately noticed that her opponent had already took a sitting position and was clearly preparing to get to her feet. This forced Karen to use the maximum of her speed in order to shorten the distance as quickly as possible!
At the moment when Karen pushed off from the mat, she looked most like a train. And although the blue-haired girl tried to cover her head with her hand, it didn't help her much. A train named Karen crashed into HEAT, forcing the Japanese-American girl to collapse on the mat again.
"Pf... pf... pf..." Karen was breathing heavily after the fall.
However, despite her heavy breathing, she knew for sure that this attack helped her to equalize her position HEAT's. She made this conclusion because of the painful groans of her rival and the fact that this time the blue-haired girl was in no hurry to move. Finally, this match has stopped looking like a one-sided one.
However, this was only the beginning, because if she wanted to win the match, then she had to keep up the pace. Wiping the sweat from her forehead, the Hawk Moth pushed off the mat with her palms and got to her feet. Now was a good enough moment to try to close HEAT in a submission hold, but after Karen took a quick glance to the side, she had another idea about it.
The Japanese girl intended to lean down and grab her opponent's legs in the knee area. Perhaps many would rightly think that now she would really go for some kind of a submission hold, but instead Karen just took a few diagonal steps in order to turn her opponent's body in the right direction.
She tried to act quickly and if her opponent had not had time to recover, it is unlikely that anything would have prevented the Hawk Moth from grinning briefly in anticipation. Karen intended to lean back sharply, holding HEAT's legs, in order to fall on her back and slignshot the blue-haired woman straight into the turnbuckle with the help of a catapult throw! And only a very attentive person would have noticed that Karen was not going to let go of her rival's legs. On the contrary, she intended to continue holding HEAT's legs in order for the blue-haired girl to bounce off the turnbuckle and start falling backwards. Where to? Right on Karen's raised knees, which she wanted to use to cause real agony in the HEAT's back, because it wasn't just a catapult, it was a catapult backbreaker!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
HEAT was groaning in pain on the mat as she held her head, cursing her position now. She had Karen Aoki-Justice right where she wanted her! And now she has just taken two hard shots to the head that kept her unable to even focus! This Hawk Moth had stopped that accelerated offense from Mihoko, and all she could do about it was just wait for what would come next. A tragedy for the Hot-Blooded Fighter.
She was able to sober up a bit when she felt her legs being grabbed. Instantly, her eyes shot open and Mihoko was flailing her arms and trying to scooch her body back with a growl. "No!" cried out HEAT as she fought back, trying to make sure she wasn't locked in a submission hold! Nothing got her gears grinding to a halt like some stupid hold stunting the speed of the match. She would rather be battered repeatedly than that! ...Potentially.
But instead, she was being maneuvered around, and suddenly catapulted up and smashed chest-first into the turnbuckle. "Ooof!" gasped HEAT Mihoko, instantly putting her hands to her chest as she cringed. It was only for a short amount of time though, because her body was already falling back with quick impact. And then onto Karen's knees to boot! Mihoko's spine bent painfully as she landed, her eyes going wide as she howled out in pain!
Mihoko wasn't expecting either impact, punished harshly by them as she hissed out in pain, her lean form folded over the bony knees of her opponent! HEAT wasn't able to do anything to retaliated, her body simply hanging over top of Aoki-Justice while she hoped for an opening to give it right back to her foe who had found her way back into this match up!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Everything worked without a hitch. Like the audience, HEAT expected Karen to try to use some submission hold. And although the Japanese girl really had several holds in her arsenal that she could use, she wanted to maintain the highest possible pace of the match in order to take the victory from her opponent!
After she managed to damage both the front and back of the blue-haired girl, Karen decided that she could finally say that the lead in the match was on her side. Spreading her legs apart, she let HEAT fall on the mat, while Karen herself got to her feet.
She had to wipe the sweat off her forehead because she was already getting tired due to the high pace. But, nevertheless, to stop now would be an unforgivable mistake. The Hawk Moth wanted to show that she didn't need cheap tricks in order to win. Therefore, she was going to grab her opponent's ankles again.
This time the audience was sure that it was time for a submission hold, but this time they were wrong too. Karen was going to take a few steps to the side, but only in order to turn HEAT's body in the direction she needed, after which she would immediately let go of the blue-haired girl's ankles.
"Yosha!" Karen would have screamed, taking a step towards the corner and raising her fist above her head.
In response, she received cheers from the audience. Grabbing the top ropes, the Hawk Moth intended to pull them down, and then push off from the mat. With the first jump she wanted to put her feet on the middle ropes, and with the second jump she wanted to climb right to the top of the corner.
Having found her balance, she intended to look over her shoulder to make sure that her opponent was still lying in place after this series of attacks. And if that were really the case, then Karen would take a deep breath and bend her knees. Forcefully pushing off from the corner, she intended to make a jump, at the same time leaning back. Having done an almost perfect backflip, she was going to throw both legs up and land on her butt, at the same time bringing down the entire weight of her right leg on HEAT's chest, because it was nothing more than a moonsault legdrop!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
HEAT was slowed down. Her breathing was stalled, her abs were killing her, and she was ultimately left trying to recover and not able to do anything. Mihoko's adrenaline sapped, her blistering pace ruined, and she was simply left on the mat. Karen had drug her around on the mat, trying to position her properly for another big attack.
Normally HEAT Mihoko was the one flying off the mat, but Karen Aoki-Justice seemed to have the same kind of desire for flight too. She was the Hawk Moth, so it made sense. But she was trying to sit up, letting out a soft cry as she fell back down, holding her midsection still. She cursed how much of a beating that Aoki-Justice had sent to her stomach. She didn't even know what Karen was even trying for at this point. She just needed to survive and get some air in. Maybe time it right and counter.
There would be no timing or counter that HEAT had ready though--the Hawk Moth flew off the top rope in an impressive display, and in time landed with her leg over Mihoko's neck and chest! HEAT's body thrashed underneath her opponent after the impact as her hands flailed, struggling for anything to deal with that sudden huge impact! HEAT was in a rough spot, struggling after the giant high flying move! A new area of heavy pain was on her, wearing down her already battered body even more! She wasn't sure when she'd even get an opportunity to get back into this match, but it was the last thing on her mind currently.
