Sky took a little breath, feeling nervous about this, but after spending all this time with Orime, she wanted to show her something more personal. On the karaoke machine's touch screen, she pulled up a song that she loved, and had always resonated with her: Sweet Hibiscus Tea, by Penelope Scott.

"Here is the thing, I can't, do anything, right. Try as I absolutely totally, might..." She started to sing, followed by slow piano music."The bones are melting, the skeleton is ash, the clavicle detaches and falls with, a defeaning, crash."

"And I am not, your protagonist, I'm not even my own, I don't know anything, I don't even know what I don't know. And if you look outside you'll see, disintegrating trees. The artificial way the sunlight bounces off the waxy leaves. My heart catches on every thorn, you're already halfway out the door. And I've never looked so old, and I have never been so cold, and it is 85 degress, I don't know what I need..."

There was a pause in the lyrics as beautiful piano music played, Sky taking another breath. This song was so far removed from any of the other upbeat and cute songs the two had sang tonight. It was a ballad of self loathing and confusion, and Skylar sang it beautifully.

"There's lukewarm herbal mango, sweet hibiscus tea, on the hot garbage pile, in which I fucking sleep. The walls are empty, it's so ugly, I could burn the whole place down. It wouldn't catch, cause all the posters are on their way to my home town."

Again, the chorus came, Sky's voice cracking up as she continued. "My wet heart catches on every thorn... you're already half way out the door... And I'm so tiny and so old, and god it's never been so cold. And it is 85 degrees... I don't know what I neeeed..."

The song closed off with another piano solo, as Sky would huff a little, tearing up...

Orime listened to Sky. The song had a very confusing tone, bright and happy sounding, but the lyrics were very self loathing. She tried to take pleasure in the song, but found herself squirming a little bit. At the pause for the solo, Orime couldn't help but feel relief.

Sadly, the unease didn't end there, as Sky began to crack. The white haired girl wanted to move in and hug her, but decided to let her finish. Maybe this was theraputic. When Sky huffed, Ori went over, not able to stand aside. "Hey...you alright?" She said, a hand on Sky's left shoulder.

As Orime put a hand on her shoulder, Sky would smile weakly, leaning in and cuddling her. "Yeah... I'm alright, thanks." She whispered.

As the two were leaving the bar, Sky left her bill on the front desk, tipping generously. "Have a good night!" The waitress smiled as they exited into the night. Outside, it was warm and dark, crickets singing therapeutically. "Need a ride anywhere?" Sky would ask Orime.

"We will, thank you!" Orime beamed, exiting with Sky. It was nice outside. "Probably my house. This is my hometown, so I don't stay at the hotel." She said, giving Sky the address to her place. This was a great night, thorns and all. Orime still really liked Sky and enjoyed their time together.

"Oh, really?" Sky smiled. "In that case, wanna just walk? It's a beautiful night, y'know?" She asked, wanting to stretch her time with Orime a bit longer.

"Sure! I guess it's not too far!" Orime said, walking with Sky. "Just want to say, I really liked my date with you." She said, looking over at her.

Skylar would smile when Orime said that, hr heart fluttering a little. Softly, she would start to hold Orime's hand. "I liked this a lot to." She smiled, looking into Ori's pretty blue eyes.

"So, we talked a bit about your apartment wrestling career, but I'm curious. What made you wanna be a wrestler in the first place?"

Orime gladly gripped Sky's hand, looking back into her eyes. "That's an interesting tale. I was working a dead end job after high school. It was very boring, but I had some good friends at work. We would go to a nightclub once a month to unwind. One night, they bring in a new event. A mud wrestling night. They brought in these beautiful women, built in all the right places. They mainly had matches with each other. But this blonde chick won against a evil girl with purple hair and issued an open challenge. My friends pressured me into volunteering." Orime said, telling her the tale.

Skylar listened to Orime's story excitedly, perking up a bit at the mention of mud wrestling. "Heh, y'know, I have met very few nice girls with purple hair." She joked. Sky only got more interested when Ori said her friends had talked her into volunteering. "Ooh, how'd it go?"

"Well...she wiped the floor with me. She played it up too. You know, lot of horny guys and girls at the event. This girl spanked me, breast smothered me, then sat her perfect ass right on my face for the pin! It was...kinda exciting, actually." Orime said, blushing as she shared her feelings on it. "Anyway...a week later, my friends told me that someone posted a video on the match on YT. Apparently, a lot of comments were about how good I looked losing. It wasn't long before video companies wanted to sign me. They even offered to train me!"
