Rumours about returning stars confirmed?

Rumours about returning stars confirmed?

Unread post by pikazard »

Recently there have been some interesting rumours making the rounds backstage in LAW about two former stars who may be discussing a new contract to make a return to the company. These rumours didn't have any reliable sources so most didn't pay them too much attention, but I found the possibility of them being true too enticing to ignore so I did a little digging and thanks to some insider information I can confirm that they will indeed be returning to LAW! The rumours of course being about these two wrestlers.

Ashley Lucas

Ashley Lucas is a wrestler from California, USA, boasting a strong all-rounder fighting style that she owes to an intimate knowledge of the fundamentals of wrestling technique that she has reportedly been practising since she was a child. The highlight of her LAW career was by far her victory in 2021's Last Woman Standing tournament, where she fought in three gruelling matches to come out on top of one of LAW's most famous tournaments. Though she had achieved a great victory she had to push herself quite hard to do so and took a brief hiatus afterwards to recover on her doctors orders.

This break would soon become seemingly a lot more permanent, as before she could make her return to the ring her father back home in the United States became terribly ill, prompting her to extend her hiatus indefinitely so that she could visit his bedside. Weeks later tragedy struck and her father passed away. Ashley would stay home for a long time after to mourn her father, cutting off any social media presence and retreating from the public eye to spend time with her family. By the time it came time for her LAW contract to be renewed Ashley had no intention of returning, and thus her employment with LAW was terminated, but with an invitation to return when she was ready.

In the last few months Ashley did indeed return to wrestling, though she only made appearances in local indie promotions rather than anything on par with her previous career, and she seemed to have very little interest in anything else. That was until last week, where thanks to my research I can confirm that Ashley is indeed discussing the terms of her return to the LAW roster, and while her contract hasn't been finalised yet you can expect to see Ashley in a LAW ring soon.

Kanako Sawatari aka Rise Kujikawa

Rise Kujikawa hardly needs any introduction with her former career as an idol granting her much more mainstream popularity than a lot of wrestlers, but I shall give her one anyway. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Rise was a record selling idol who was well on her way to becoming a household name before she made the controversial decision to enter pro wrestling and join the LAW roster. Unfortunately the idol was a bit too eager to hop right in to the world of wrestling and had underestimated just how much training and preparation is required to make it as a fighter, let alone one at a promotion as high level as LAW.

Rise learned this lesson the hard way as she took loss after loss, becoming one of LAW's more popular enhancement talents over the course of a year, or a "jobber" as some less kind people would put it. She had no issue with this label at the time as her matches would still constantly sell out arenas even though they were almost always one-sided affairs, but that would change after a match with the nefarious Huxian Li ended with an infamous incident that almost saw the young woman get horrifically violated.

No one would blame her for quitting wrestling after that incident, but instead this would inspire her to quit her idol career to go into wrestling full time! She had two matches after this with mediocre results, so she made a public announcement on her twitter that she would start her wrestling career from scratch as a rookie and perform the proper training she had skipped out on before joining LAW. After that she would leave LAW and go off the radar for half a year before resurfacing in the indie scene; only now she's going by the name Kanako Sawatari, revealing in an interview that Rise Kujikawa was just a stage name all along.

A year later and now Kanako too is showing interest in returning to the LAW roster, with a recent tweet of hers alluding to her return. Just as with Ashley I have looked into the rumours and sure enough LAW management is cooking up a new contract for her as I type up this article.
