"I will be the one to handle this tonight!"

"Tch, yeah right! I'm the one that should debut!"

Their squabble was far from the first. Ever since Pawfection had been tentatively formed, the unlikely duo that made it up had butted heads over every aspect of their tag team. The costumes they wore. The finishers they would use. Heck, even their tag team name hadn't been easily agreed. Trying to find something a poodle from a wealthy background and a feline who was a street delinquent had in common was far from a simple task. But they had managed in the end to find shared ground. However, the biggest problem came when the Jungle Wrestling Federation admitted they'd been unable to book a rival tag team for the pair. Which meant their first match would be against just one opponent.

And therefore, the big question came - who would actually debut tonight against their singular foe? They'd yet to agree on an answer. As dawn broke. As they prepared in their locker room. Even as they came down to the ring, bathed in the lights underneath to the roar of the crowd greeting them. With them glaring daggers at each other now between the ropes, bristling with animosity, many could be forgiven for thinking the match would be between them.

Miyu & Fay

"I believe I am more than capable of dispatching any opponent they send our way." Fay made a dismissive sniff towards her team mate. "The audience desires to see grace and elegance, not your primitive violent tendencies."

"You wanna watch your mouth, princess!" Miyu's fists curled at her sides, the feline baring her teeth. "Or the one that will be getting their head caved in will be you!"

The pair were so caught in their dispute, it hadn't dawned upon them the logistics as to why they had been given such a lowkey entrance, with barely any music or impact. One would normally recognise this as the 'jobber' entrance, but for these two, bigger concerns were on their mind. Like who would actually be wrestling tonight. It was becoming increasingly more and more likely that their opponent would walk right out and onto the bickering scene...

As the spotlights shine on the two, highlighting their bickering for all the world to see, indeed things would continue.

The titantron lights up, beginning with a heavy guitar march and the vocals of Fallout Boy.

"And their opponent!," begins the announcer. "Standing at a height of 5'10", and weighing in at 170 lbs.!"

"From Newport Beach, California! He is the Crowned Prince of the Squared Circle!"

"CHASE! HUNTER!"

As the song hits its first crescendo, the curtain is thrown back and the cheetah himself strides out onto the stage, sporting lavish crimson cape and rubied circlet upon his brow. Despite the warmth of his fur coat, his blue eyes are piercingly icy and aloof. Arms raise, and a series of pyrotechnics blast around him. The audience greets him with severely mixed reactions - some favor him for his technical skill level, while many others detest him for his arrogance and behavior. Neither matters to him. The only thing that makes a difference is the scorecard at the final bell.

He strides forward, the cape flowing behind him. No acrobatics or high-octane entertainment for the crowd upon his entrance; in fact, he ignores the hands reaching out to him at either side of the aisle. Upon reaching the ring, he ascends the steps and slips smoothly between the ropes. Suddenly, he blurs across the mat to ascend the opposite turnbuckle, arms spread wide inviting the crowd to shower him in their praise. Or, more likely, hate. A smug smirk tugs at the corner of his muzzle, basking in the noise, before finally dropping to the mat.

He sheds the cape, folding it swiftly before setting the circlet atop. Now lacking the extra adornments, his body is all the more clear for the audience, the cameras, and most importantly, his opponents. The physique is well-suited to his heritage as a cheetah; lithe, slender, not a shred of excess weight from the streamlined, flowing muscle of his arms and legs, to the toned, defined pectorals and sleek abdominals. His spots, however, are a bit unlike most of his species, being more splotchy and streaky.

Finally, Chase waves an arm to cut the music. And then with a snap of his fingers, he points to the commentator's table. A microphone is quickly delivered to his waiting hand.

"You two."

The icy blue eyes narrow.

"Enough squabbling. I choose you."

He points a finger towards them. Which one of them may be difficult to tell. But that happens to be on purpose. "...Both of you," he concludes, the smirk playing on his features again. "Handicap tag elimination. Because when the night's over, I want your bickering to be about whose fault it was. Not who got to get into the ring with royalty."

He quarter-turns, only to fake it out and wheel on the duo again. "One more thing. I choose our of those I beat who I take home. P.O.W." He quirks a brow at them. "Deal?"

The second the titantron flares to life and the guitar screeches through the arena, the quarrelling pair would cease squabbling as their attention was drawn to the entry curtain. It was yanked back, revealing their mystery opponent for the night. A young cheetah made his way onto the stage, wearing a circlet decorated with rubies and wearing a brilliant red cape. Flames burst around the newcomer, who was clearly noteworthy enough to actually be granted an entrance unlike the females in the ring. But that didn’t stop the arena from unleashing a cascade of cheers and boos, straining against each other through the atmosphere for dominance. If the two had to guess, the boos were probably stronger than the cheers.

The cheetah made his way down, cape billowing behind him. He clearly has no love for the people, refusing to acknowledge the hands outstretched to him from the crowd. And when he arrives at ringside, he takes his time to climb the metal steps and smoothly slide through the ropes. Before climbing the opposite turnbuckle, arms beckoning for the crowd to either adore or despise him. And they certainly responded in kind. The cape is plucked from his shoulders and neatly folded before he lifts the circlet from atop his head to rest upon the crimson material. Miyu and Fay would be granted their first, full look at the physique of their opponent. He’s built slender, not really what one would consider brawny. Yet there’s a clear tone to his muscles, which are defined and sleek. There’s no hint of flab to his body. His spots are certainly unusual for a cheetah, not that either girl have met many cheetahs in truth.

He might just catch notice that both girls are staring. Very acutely at his body. Not to mention that handsome face. But when he signals for the music to cease and gestures for a microphone, his tone is colder than a glacier. His eyes lack any warmth, frigid frost narrowing in their direction. And then he points to the pair, making their decision seemingly for them. The two of them versus the cheetah, in a handicap tag elimination. He smirks condescendingly to them. His voice is filled with arrogance. They glance at each other as he turns, seemingly done, only to twist back to them and catch them off-guard with his second proposal. P.O.W.

Miyu is the first to react. Her fur bristles with fury. She's taken an instant dislike to their opponent. “Seriously?! You think you can just waltz down to this ring and act like a big shot just because you’re playing dress up?!” Her fists curl at her side, before she points a finger at Chase. “Newflash for you, pal! Wearing a red rug and some cheap trinklet doesn’t make you royalty of the ring, and you are FAR from royal in my eyes! If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it's a guy like you who flaunts himself before others! Well, WE accept!”

“Miyu!” Fay looked aghast beside her teammate. “Do not decide this so casually for the both of us!”

“Shut your trap, Fay!” The feline didn’t look at her, opting instead to bare her clenched teeth at the smug cheetah. “You might be happy to let this brat peer his snout down at us, but I’m gonna beat him within an inch of his life and give him a reality check!” Her poodle partner seemed to be on the urge of arguing further, but finally relented with a sigh.

“Very well. But do try to refrain from hitting him before the bell rings. I do not desire to be disqualified in our first ever match.” With that, Fay ducked under the top rope and stepped out to the ringside. Miyu meanwhile remained in the corner opposite Chase. Her tail shook behind her in anger. Her purple eyes glower at him, making no secret of her desire to make him ache in agony, beg for mercy. The only reason she hasn’t launched herself at the self-proclaimed prince and began pounding his face in is because those all-important chimes have yet to sound. The sound of the bell to commence the start of the match.

“Ready for this ‘hunter’ to ‘chase’ you down, kid?” The play on his name raises a smirk on her own face. Pretty clever. In her mind, at least.

As Miyu goes off on him, Chase has taken up post against the ropes. Stretching them against his back, he reclines in an almost languid fashion, arms draping along the top cable, tail swaying slowly, but eagerly. His gaze travels to the poodle when she interrupts, then back to the feline. "It's only natural the lesser would want a shot first. To prove herself, I'm sure."

Could it be a dual insult/compliment combo? Calling Miyu the lesser of the two, while insinuating Fay is the superior? In fact, it is! But more to the point, he has no idea about either of them, much less which one could be considered better. It's more a means to keep the two at odds and out of sync. Playing teammate against teammate.

It seems decided, though. Chase leans off the ropes and stalks closer to the center as the referee waves them in.

"Hmh. It's gonna be fun beating you into submission," he says, hands lifting and fingers splayed at the ready. "If you can resist tagging out, I might have a little respect for you. Maybe. So try not to disappoint me."

The referee waves a hand to signal the bell.

DING!

The jungle cat prowls around her, circling slowly. Those icy blue lock onto the girl's purples, studying them. She has a cute face, tomboyish. Those can be just as much fun to break as the prissy types, reducing them to begging. She'll do just fine as the start tonight. And suddenly, he's in motion, lashing forward to begin the lockup. Hands grab for her collar area and elbow, body tensed and rigid as he attempts to overpower her quickly into a vacant corner of the ring. He has a little bit of a height advantage on her, certainly a weight advantage. Time to see if he holds the strength advantage as well.

When Chase implies that Miyu is inferior to her (once) pampered partner, something within the lynx triggers. She nearly leaps from the corner at the arrogant prince. It is only the timely intervention of the referee that prevents her from leaving. "You wanna try and say that in punching range, pretty boy?!" Miyu hisses at the relaxed cheetah. Her arms shoot over the ref's shoulder, under their arm, but her body doesn't make any progress. The ref warns her strictly to restrain herself or face an instant DQ. "Tch..." The feline's motions begin to die down, and she finally relents. But that doesn't stop her from giving the prince an intense, fierce stare.

In contrast, her partner is flushed pink at the compliment, seemingly being recognised by the cheetah as a worthy opponent. The seed has been planted, and with the right stimulation, Chase might succeed in making the divide between the two grow even wider. As Chase leaves his corner, Miyu does the same and approaches the middle. She can feel her claws practically twitching in anticipation. To rake themselves across his smirking face.

DING!

Chase is on the prowl, and the lynx is quick to follow his lead. The two circle each other, with those frozen eyes staring into her own. God, even just looking at him is insufferable. She can't wait to teach this brat a lesson. When the cheetah brings his arms up to commence a lock up, Miyu is admittedly a little unprepared. He doesn't seem strong enough for that! As his hands latch onto her collar and elbow, the feline's hands mimic his movements. Trying to press her heels into the canvas to try and assert some weight. But Chase is superior in both height and weight. And quickly, she realises in strength as well. Although the lynx asserts herself with gritted teeth, she can feel herself sliding backwards. The metal pole inevitably collides with her back, as the jungle cat succeeds in trapping her in an empty corner.

"Grk...suppose...you think you're clever...huh?" She huffs, still trying to push the prince away from her.

The two make their way back towards the turnbuckle, inch by inch, step by step. The muscletone along his arms and chest flex, Chase straining against the girl's resistance. But ultimately, they meet that corner post. She makes her remark and pushes at him, but Chase is quick to respond with a sharp reverse chop against the girl's chest, right in that convenient window of open collar!

He doesn't respond to her, but rather focuses on the offensive for now. With hopefully having opened up her body a little more, he props his forearm against her throat and leans in, close enough that his chest brushes against the swell of her breasts. But that forearm digs into her throat in a standing and clearly illegal choke! A quick and dirty way to gain an early advantage over the lynx.

The referee hurries over. "Let her go! One! Two! Three! Four!"

And just before he hits the fifth count, Chase releases the pressure and steps back, hands in the air in a classic 'look at me, I'm not touching her' pose. "Fine, whatever."

THWACK.

The second Miyu attempts to push her way to freedom, Chase's hand comes flying towards her chest. It claps sharply for a loud chop, one that echoes around the arena. "Yeow!" It landed right on the exposed section of her gear, leaving her breasts stinging painfully from the impact. Her hand comes up to clutch where she was struck, trying to wince through the pain. But in that moment, she's left vulnerable for Chase's forearm to rest across her throat!

Under different circumstances, she would normally be able to appreciate those toned pectorals pressing against her chest. But the cheetah purposefully digs into her throat, going for an illegal choke! "Wha...!" The feline's windpipe is being brutally assaulted, nearly crushed as the referee rushes to intervene! In a classic heel move, the jungle cat makes sure to break away only at the last possible moment, moving backwards with his hands held up innocently.

Miyu falls to one knee, gasping for air. The cat splutters and coughs as she massages her throat. She brings her head up - and Chase would only be able to see anger burning in her expression. "You cheating asshole...!" To hell with reason! This punk was going to pay for that! Clambering back up onto her feet, Miyu opted to try and surprise the smug jungle cat with speed. The girl ran full pelt at her opponent, running as she leapt to try and ram her knee directly into Chase's face.

This was her Finisher, known as Swift as the Wind. Doing it this early in the match really was a sign of how furious Chase had made her.

The audience has joined in a chorus of boos, showering the cheetah with their judgmental scorn. And he just lets it roll off of him like rainwater, soaking it in without a care in the world. If it hurt Miyu and improved his chances of winning, none of that mattered. He knew how to work the ring and its rules. You're only a failure if you get DQ'd for it, after all.

He spares a quick glance to the poodle in the corner, curious to see how she's taking things. But he doesn't linger on her. His focus returns quickly to the lynx, spotting that furious glare. Oh, that's a look he's used to. But she springs at him, knee extended, and with alarming speed! He pulls away just barely in time, letting her hip whizz past his face. That could've been catastrophic!

But the moment she's on her boots again, now conveniently with her back turned to him, he lashes out! Arms attempt to catch her around the stomach to yank her body back squarely against himself, the first real point of full contact with her. Hips press squarely against her rear, his abdominals flush with her spine, his chest just behind her shoulders. The arms dig in against her slender midsection, and he rears back, attempting to fling her over himself towards the center of the ring in a release german suplex!

At least the crowd is on her side. Or against her opponent. The important thing is, they're not booing for her, and that's all the validation she needs! It reaffirms in her head that he's hated. Not just by her, but by the audience as well. "Guess the crowd wants to see the monarchy abolished!" She smirks - and it helps bring her back onto her feet, as she rushes towards Chase with the intent to swing her knee directly into his arrogant features.

As the jungle cat glances to the poodle, Fay is watching intently. Unlike the quick-to-anger, rash lynx, she was more dignified and composed. But she had a clear look of disdain for Chase's heel tactics. "Do not let this ruffian win!"

"That's the plan!" The feline yells out as she leaps up. Her knee extends - and as if in slow motion - Chase pulls back. She misses him by mere inches, and the girl's triumphant grin twists into shock and surprise. As she falls back to the ground, the girl stumbles, not quite ready for the landing. She nearly falls down flat, if not for the arms constricting around her waist. Phew.

...Wait, what?

Her back bumps against pectorals and sleek abs. She recognises those pecs brushing her shoulders. And those abs against her spine certainly don't belong to the ref. Crap. She's literally fallen into Chase's clutches. His hips resting by her rear, arms squeezing into her slender belly. "No!!" She cries out defiantly, instantly trying to wriggle her way to freedom. But the cheetah has an iron grip on her. Before the lynx realises it, she's being tossed backwards! The skylights swinging above, her vision inverting as the canvas races up to greet her, feeling the arms of her foe releasing her to crash spectacularly into the center of the ring!

WHAM! "Ugh!!" The impact rattles the back of her head. Her shoulders take the brunt of the slam. And with no one to hold onto her hips, the lynx's legs fold over her, leaving her in quite the eye-catching position. Her rear held up into the air, straining against the spandex of her gear. The one fan still on Chase's side cat calls at the sight. Miyu is dazed. And going to need a little bit. Maybe a minute. Maybe ten.

Chase sits up after the throw, not bothering to look behind him. He felt the ring shudder with the force upon which she impacted the mat. It was musical. Glorious, even. "The crowd doesn't know what's good for it." He collects himself, lifting to his full height. "That's why the monarchy exists." His nosepad uptilts into the air in a theatrically haughty manner.

The cheetah turns fully to the fallen feline, noting her curled and rather undignified position. She has a nice rear, at least. He moves in behind her, gaze bearing down on her before crouching down. Once again, the arms reach to gather around her stomach. She's already in a rather convenient position, and he could go for a pin... but he's not done with her. This isn't just to beat down and conquer Miyu, see. This is to demoralize Fay. The more he tears her partner apart, the more dread she'll have towards facing him. That's the idea, at least!

The arms squeeze her midsection, and he lifts, extracting her from the mat. Guiding her upwards, he finally brings her lower back to arch against his right shoulderblade. His right arm stays hooked around her upper abdomen, the left beneath her jaw to keep her locked in place. The position itself shoulder be painful.. but it just becomes worse as he begins jolting himself on his heels, causing wracking tremors to impact that point in her spine in a Canadian backbreaker hold.

And as he tortures Miyu, he turns to face Fay. "You're next, puffball."
