“Huuuuuh?” Amber was slowly waking up to the sound of booing mixed with Cheryl’s voice. Her eyes opened to be nearly blinded by bright lights and close again. The last thing she remembered was getting hit by Vanessa and then-

And then she was knocked out.

Her eyes opened again this time enduring the blinding lights to force herself back up with Cheryl’s help. She knew what happened. Amber didn’t win while unconscious and if she did the crowd wouldn’t be booing. The lead pipe that she refused to use had come back to bite her. Amber refused to use it and she gave Vanessa the chance to use it again. Why didn’t she toss it out of the ring? Or use it? Or something! Amber wasn’t sure if she was sad or angry. She was too tired to express either and the mix of emotions in her stomach just made her stick. “Cheryl walk me home.” Amber had come back from injury just to be here and prove she was one of the best. This wasn’t how the night should have gone. All she worked for was crushed because Amber didn’t want to use a lead pipe on an awful person. Vanessa still didn’t have her respect but why would she care about that? She had the win and that was what mattered because unlike respect that can come and go a victory was forever.
