A Clash Of Classics Old And New

Alaina had Grace down, and she wanted to capitalize. She got up to her feet, keeping an eye on Grace the entire time. Her elbow raised up and she jumped, looking to aim that elbow as she came crashing down towards Grace's chest! Alaina felt like Grace maybe got a bit over confident and wanted her to pay. That sort of thing wouldn't fly inside the ring in an actual match. Playing to the crowd and taunting once in a while? Sure. You had to keep the fans on your side.

But underestimating someone was going to cost you, and Alaina wanted to show that while she maybe a bit rusty underestimating the amazon was going to come at a cost.

Grace was certainly regretting her over-confidence now. Every time she had the bigger woman under control, the wily veteran managed to surprise her! The latest miscalculation left Grace gasping for breath on the mat, helpless to avoid the elbow drop that followed, crashing down with authority on her chest.

"Ouhh!" She cried out as what little breath she'd gathered was crushed out a second time, making her outstretched limbs spasm and flail on the mat. Her dark eyes bulged and her ample chest heaved, coughing violently as she tried to roll onto her side, which was impossible with Alaina's weight on her.

Alaina adjusted herself on top of Grace, laying across her chest and reaching back to hook a leg to go for a pin! She raised her own hand and slapped the mat hard to make the count echo!

"ONE!"

Alaina raised her hand up again, having been in so many matches that the referee's pace was natural to her. Maybe that could be another backup career after she retired from competition again? That or analyst ringside or maybe interviewer? "You are good Grace, plenty of all-round talent but sometimes a giant falling on top of ya does a number..." Alaina said as she looked to continue the count in the spar!

Grace was still gasping for breath as the Amazon settled on top of her to secure the pin. Her hooked leg hung limp for the moment in Alaina's grasp as she tried to force tired, leaden limbs to react. As the first count came down it was just a bit galling to hear Alaina speak so casually, as if Grace's loss was just some inevitable formality at this point.

No... Not going down that easy.

The sentiment flashed through her mind as Grace summoned all her strength, giving a single, violent thrash of her lithe body to free her leg and try to roll her shoulder off the mat before the third count!

Alaina felt Grace kick out and rolled over, trying to get up to her feet before Grace did. The lady had a lot of fight in her. Alaina however had to smash the fight out of her or she would never beat Grace even in this intense spar. The amazon lumbered over and made her way to Grace. What went up must come down right?

Alaina tried to move in, reaching down to grab Grace between the legs and around her shoulder. She wanted to scoop her up and had a few ideas in mind, but first she had to try to lift her off the ground without incident or counter from Grace!

Grace was slow to stand after just barely avoiding the three count. She'd nearly lost the sparring match then and there, though in truth she'd begun to think of this contest as more then that. The two women had been steadily ratcheting up the intensity until there was little discernable difference between this mere workout match and any contest in the ring.

Alaina had no trouble getting to her feet before the slightly wobbly Grace, the American still trying to catch her breath as the Amazon went in for the kill. Grave felt Alaina's had grip between her thighs while the other reached to loop around her shoulder and knew she was on trouble.

"Not gonna happen.." She said through clenched teeth, trying to stop Alaina's attempt to lift her with an elbow to the side of the head!

"Unnnghh!" Alaina groaned as she lost her grip, staggering back a few steps as she held the side of her head with a hand, shaking her head to try to dispel the cobwebs and daze. She was up against a feisty lady for sure, but Grace had managed a win over Tina so she clearly was no slouch! Alaina knew she had to try to recover but the elbow hit her perfectly in the temple, leaving the amazon stumbling limp legged and wide open as she failed to recover quickly! Alaina wasn't sure what Grace had planned, as she was a balanced wrestler who could do just about anything well similar to Tina. This was not going to be pleasant...

It was more then a little luck that saved Grace Allen from whatever Alaina was planning to do with her. Aiming was impossible, leaving the American with no real option but to flail her elbow back and hope to connect. In this case, she caught the Amazon flush on the temple, forcing Alaina to let her go. Grace had to press the attack, knowing she was in no position to get overconfident again. She spun around, lashing out high with her right leg and aiming a spinning kick to the side to the amazons head! It was a strike she'd landed against Sanders protégé, Tina, and it had nearly knocked the Tigress out!

The kick crashed into Alaina, landing with a solid thudding sound that made her head whip back and her big body tumbling limply to the mat! Alaina groaned weakly, her arms slowly making their way to her head as she laid there, hands covering her face. She weakly raised a leg high and it crashed down to the mat, her leg trembling after like in an aftershock earthquake. Alaina was out of it as she was on the mat, barely stirring aside from a few flopping movements and the rising of her chest as she drew breath.

Grace actually lost her balance after the kick and fell to her knees besides the toppled amazon. She was getting tired, to say the least, and the dull ache she felt throughout her body reminded the American of how she felt after a full fledged, high stakes match. If this was a spar, she wondered what it would be like to face Alaina with the heat of the arena lights and the roar of the crowd baring down on them.

She crawled over to Alaina, who seemed completely out of it, and grabbed hold of the bigger woman's right thigh, hooking her leg high and rolling her weight onto the amazons upper body and using her free hand to slap the mat, all the while praying Alaina stayed down!
