Love at Apex: Wisteria Khan vs Akari Ito III

Sheena groaned softly as she leaned up against the corner, holding her neck still after the brutal Seafoam Special nearly did her in a second time. Luckily the damage she did to Akari before hand seemed to do the trick as far as limiting the move. But it was still hellacious to take head on though. Now while trapped in the corner Sheena knew she had to be careful, less Akari take advantage once more. Watching as the woman broke out into a run towards her Sheena prepared herself, knowing she needed to be ready for what seemed to be a strike in the corner, thus the moment Akari got close enough Sheena would push herself to the side to avoid the move! Or so she thought. Without realizing Sheena had walked tight into Akari's trap as the Sea Turtle ran up along the turnbuckle and swung a kick right into Sheena's face! "Ugh!" Sheena cried out in pain as she took the kick and stumbled away, falling onto her hands and knees, stunned by the blow!

Akari's deceptive maneuver worked out, and Sheena was struck upside the temple by the Sea Turtle's leg, sending her onto her hands and knees. With the lavender-haired bruiser left in a horrendous daze, Akari continued her offensive. She grabs her lover by her hair, dragging her to the ropes. She batters away at Sheena's upper body and chest, slamming an unending series of Forearm Strikes and Chops across Sheena's figure. It...partially pained her to harm the woman she loved so much, but-...That feeling of guilt quickly subsided, and a burning passion within her began to replace it. Sheena and Akari were...well, FIGHTERS...This fueled them more than ALMOST anything in the world. Akari felt motivated to fight her partner, to bring her to the edge and push her further than anyone else had before. After pummeling Sheena for a while, Akari would drag her to the space between the ring and the steel cage around them, pressing the front side of the lavender-haired woman's body against the steel cage. She lays herself against Sheena's back, whispering into her ear. "Feel that, Sheena? The cold metal from the front...and my warmth from behind~" She said, teasing her before driving her into the nearest corner and set of turnbuckles to lay her out, beginning to reach a more brutal state as the match goes on...After all, this was supposed to be the most intense match between them yet, where everything was on the line...so Akari HAD to pour everything she had into beating the hell out of her beloved Wisteria.

Sheena had been knocked silly by Akari repeatedly. Both by her finisher as well as by that sudden kick to the head that took the purple haired girl off guard and brought her down to her hands and knees. Knocked loopy by the sheer impact of the damage she had taken. Now that Sheena was so dazed it was mere child's play for Akari to grab Sheena roughly again and pull her up to her feet before pushing her up against the ropes... Before absolutely battering the purple haired girl with a series of brutal strikes and chops that left Sheena totally dazed and then some, unable to put up any kind of defense to the blows that came her way, leaving her little more than a punching bag for the Sea Turtle!

When Akari was finally done with her barrage Sheena would slump forward, almost surely collapsing had it not been for Akari to catch her and then pull Sheena through the ropes to the space between the ropes and cage... Where Sheena was then forced face first against the steel cage, pressing her against it and making Sheena groan and wince slightly in pain from the discomfort of it, which was only offset by the sudden warm and soft feeling pressing against her, followed by the warm breath of her opponent's voice carrying right into her ear, sending a shiver down her spine and making Sheena bite her lips softly from how.. excited that made her. It wouldn't last long though before Sheena was turned and thrown into the corner, crashing against it and sliding down against it, clearly out of it.

After suffering a barrage of attacks, a close-up with the steel cage, and a run-in with the hard corner post, Sheena was left in a slump. Her body lay against the turnbuckles as she fell. Akari fell to her knees, partially exhausted but still able to fight. She pushes past the immense soreness building in her body. Even as her lungs burn and her muscles ache, the Sea Turtle doesn't waver. Akari was running on fumes. Sheena's earlier assault on her abdomen was beginning to tear her apart inside. If she couldn't bring the woman down now, things wouldn't look bright for the Sea Turtle's future. However, amid the brief respite, the raven-haired woman gets an idea. If her usual method didn't work earlier...maybe she should take another page out of Sheena's book. She grabs the lavender-haired woman's locks and drags her back through the ropes.

Once they were both in the ring again, the Sea Turtle would take Sheena by the legs, face, and body dripping with sweat as her aching muscles burned with fatigue. She pulls Sheena over to the corner, slipping one leg over the top of the ropes on one side and following up by doing the same with Sheena's other leg. When she was finished, the lavender-haired warrior was hung up in a Tree of Woe position, suspended by the ropes, and left upside-down. Akari takes a deep breath, trying to pace herself as much as possible. She stares at Sheena with a soft grin, a look that betrays her intentions as that ferocious look in her eye returns. She delivers a BRUTAL strike to the side of Sheena's ribs, smashing her leg against her lover's midsection. She pulls her leg back and strikes AGAIN, slamming her other leg against the opposite side of Sheena's body, delivering a series of hard-hitting kicks all over the Akan warrior's figure in order to wear her down for what would come next!!!

Quite literally thrown against the corner face first Sheena would slide down against it, all but limp. The Seafoam Special finisher alone had been a lot to try and recover from, not even taking into account the following offense that Akari had unleashed that kept Sheena rocked, unable to do anything against Akari's flurry of attacks. Grabbed once again Sheena weakly reached up to pull on Akari's wrist to try and remove it but was unsuccessful in doing so as she was dragged through the ropes where her hair was released only for her legs to be grabbed next. "Ngh.. Akari... what are you?" Sheena asked only for Akari to answer her by lifting her legs up and hooking her feet over the top ropes to leave Sheena hanging upside down in an all too familiar move.. After all she was a fond practitioner of the tree of woe. "UGH!" Sheena cried out in pain since naturally, the position was followed up with a strike right to the gut, then the side, and so and so forth. Akari peppering Sheena with blows left and right with the purple haired girl unable to do anything about them!

After tenderizing her lover's body with a stiff, brutal series of attacks, an exhausted Akari took a moment to breathe and gather herself. Sheena was practically out on her feet...but there was little time to spare. Though, she didn't feel right about continuing without approaching Sheena for a moment, even if the position she was left in was a little...unfit...for the moment. She crouches down next to Sheena, leaning toward her face to speak to her through ragged breaths, trying to muster her energy to speak as coherently as possible, sweat dripping down her body. The woman's heart was pounding, beating a million miles a second. "An apology feels rather redundant and lackluster in this scenario. Especially because of what I'm about to do next...So, I'll make it up to you some other way after this. I know you won't hate me but-...I don't want you to feel like I'm holding a grudge against you. This part...is really going to hurt, Sheena. Just know...that I'm only doing this...to show you just how much you mean to me...as a partner...and a rival." She said, planting a gentle kiss over Sheena's cheek as a form of apology...because what would come next was about to hurt the lavender-haired woman a LOT.

With her face going red from all that blush, Akari turned toward the corner. She began climbing the turnbuckle, situating herself at the very top. Once she was in position, she stood ALL the way up, standing tall over the hanging Sheena for a moment before crouching down low and using every last ounce of her ability to jump into the air, nearly reaching the top of the cage before coming down onto her lavender-haired opponent with all her weight and momentum!!! Akari planned to utilize one of Sheena's signatures against her as a means of bringing this match to an end!!!! The Sea Turtle attempted to finish her partner with a vicious barrage of strikes coupled with this cataclysmic Tree of Woe Double Stomp, a move dubbed by her lover as Hanging Wisteria!!! It must've felt like everything was in slow motion for Akari at that point...as she rose through the air only to come back down, planting the soles of her boot down across Sheena's upper chest and shoulders, knocking her out of the Tree of Woe position as both women spill to the canvas with a colossal -BOOM- sounding off upon impact as Sheena's backside would be crushed and slammed against the canvas.

Sheena was quite literally helpless before the now fired up Sea Turtle, the woman being on a roll that wouldn't be stopped easily as she absolutely unloaded on Sheena with strike after strike until Sheena was nearly out then and there. Left dangle on the corner everything around her was blurry and her ears were ringing loudly which didn't help with the disorientation she was feeling as a result of the brutal series of attacks. Luckily though she wasn't too out of it not hear Akari as she leaned in close and began speaking. Even now, after all the hits she had taken and all the pain she was in as a result of Akari... Sheena wasn't angry. Quite the opposite really.

She was proud Akari had this much fight and grit in her and that she was willing to go this far. Even if didn't turn out well for Sheena. Hearing the words though Sheena gave a slight nod. "I... I.. Understand.." Sheena gasped out towards the Sea Turtle, as if accepting her fate before Akari ascended up the corner, taking her place above Sheena, as if symbolic and in turn, giving Sheena one last glorious look up at the woman before she took to the air and crashed down hard, feet first into Sheena's chest, forcing her free from the corner and spiking her hard into the mat as a result! Upon landing everything went black and if Akari got off her immediately then Sheena's body would fold over and she'd collapse down onto her front, limp and totally unconscious, prompting the ref to come in and start the count!

"ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! The ref cried out, getting halfway through the count without so much as a stir from Sheena, but would she continue to stay down for the rest of it?

Akari slammed the soles of her boot down on Sheena's midsection. The resulting force crushes her lover in two. The impact leaves Sheena planted onto the canvas. The sizable impact causes the entire ring to shake. Any greater, and the referee would've lost their balance. Akari collapses to the side after a moment, getting to her feet with the last of this insane adrenaline rush. She manages to position herself on the ropes, using them for support to keep herself propped up so Sheena is the only one in danger of being counted out. Eventually, the referee begins, and the count starts...with bated breath, the battle-worn and exhausted Sea Turtle sits on the ropes, hoping this would bring about the end of the match, making her passion for this sport, for her lover, for her RIVAL...known...Sheena hadn't moved an inch, even as the count neared halfway...

"FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!"

Akari's heart stopped for a moment. Time seems to almost freeze all around her. She looked at Sheena...her eyes focused on every inch of the woman's body. She looked for any sign of fight within her. Yet, she saw none...barely a spark or an ember...Her eyes softened, her head hung slightly, and her lips quivered briefly before shifting into a smile. This fight...It had taken everything out of her in the blink of an eye, but it seemed like it was finally...over.

"TEN!"


The bell rings, and the match is completed. The announcer calls out Akari's name, but she does not hear it. The referee holds up her arm, but she does not care. Akari limps over to Sheena, and she crouches down next to her. She pulls her up and slings one of the woman's arms around her shoulder, holding her close, waiting beside her to be assisted by the ring-side medics...as everything slowly turned to black...

With the sound of a massive impact Akari's boots would bounce off Sheena's chest and in a single instant Sheena would fall from the corner position and collapse face first against the mat, unmoving and still. The ref counting her down while Akari held onto the ropes to stay up right. Not moving so much as a muscle Sheena was clearly out of it, the accumulated damage from Akari's wild burst of offense that left her not only unable to defense herself, but also a total victim for Akari, especially now with this final, massive impact.. Leaving Sheena down all the way until the ten count was made, causing the bell to ring as Akari was declared the official winner!
