"Pounce, you here buddy?" She asked after taking a few steps in, a few moments later a rather grumpy meow cane as a reply. Kate giggled and rolled her eyes. "Oh, excuse me, Sir Pounce-A-Lot. Now are you gonna move your furry butt over here or is that tuna gonna go to waste?" She said, setting her things down and getting a can of tuna out of her bag. A little black kitten emerged from a cardboard box with the word "castle" written on it with a marker. Said castle had a cutout entrance and a comfy blanket inside. A perfect hideout for a little fellow now rubbing himself against Kate as she got the fish she promised out of the can.
When presented with food, Sir Pounce-A-Lot, the most dignified of cat knights, maintained his niceties to the person bringing him such an offering before moving over to a bowl of tuna. It was just enough distraction for Kate to inspect the little fella for new scratches and such. She has been trying to convince her landlord to allow pets inside but it was an uphill battle. Still, her little friend needed proper care and she was determined to give it to him even if that would get her in trouble. For now, she sat there, scratching his little head, she needed him to relax before she'd try to convince him to get into the pet transporter that she brought.
