Cat and Turtle: Catalina Vicente vs Akari Ito

Laying on her back in the wake of the rather intense bout with Akari so far Catalina needed a little bit of time to catch her breath.. as well as take everything in for the moment. This was what she wanted, what she strived for in wrestling. To push her limits constantly and unendingly against better and better opponents to put on the best show possible for the crowd. Thus far Akari was without a doubt on of, if not the best opponent Catalina had gone against in her relatively short career, and it showed with how winded she was right out of the gate.

But as she sat up she at least had the consolation of knowing she wasn't the only one with Akari looking to be in a similar position as herself, the face paced, intense offense both had brought from the start making its toll known. "Well... I hope I'm not disappointing so far." Cat said in between huffs as she pushed herself up, slowly and with a bit of strain on her face but surely getting to her feet. That was only the first burst between the two, and it wouldn't be the last, Catalina knew she'd have to push her limits, as well as get acclimated quickly to this level of combat, otherwise she'd be turtle food.

"Hah! Disappointing? Far from it!!!" Akari said, dusting herself off. "That opening was positively ELECTRIC!!! I'm already feeling fired up. Just listen to that crowd roar!!!" She said, gesturing to the loving audience who looked on in anticipation. "Sounds like they want MORE...and so do I~...So let's keep it up. Blow for blow!!! Head to head!!! Gimme all you got, pretty kitty~...and don't hold back!!!" She cheered, giving Catalina a motivational wink. Akari gets her position as she stands tall, eager to fight it out with this amazing, talented woman before her. Once Catalina was ready, Akari would show off some of her striking prowess, chasing the Cat down as she barrages her with a series of back-to-back punches and kicks, attempting to plow through her defenses as she lays into her with a heavy assault akin to an MMA fighter.

Catalina smiled brightly upon seeing the excitement plastered on the face of her opponent as well as how highly the woman was speaking of their opening sprint. "Hehehe Si! I wouldnt't dream of it!" Catalina said back with a nod and small blush dusting her cheeks from Akari's words as she got herself up and ready. Only Akari wasn't expecting the flurry of fists and feet that came her way as Akari neared. "Eep!" She cried out, parrying and weaving to avoid most, but some were still clipping her. 'Damn gotta find a way around this!' Cat thought to herself, after all she was much more a high flyer who used some strikes, she was far from a mma fighter that was comfortable with fisticuffs.

Luckily though this flurry and desperate attempt to dodge had brought them closer to the ropes, giving Catalina exactly the chance she needed. The moment Akari tried to go for another punch Akari would pivot on her foot and try to place her hand on Akari's back to send the woman stumbling forward into the ropes. If that worked then Catalina would grab at the sea turtles hips when she bounced off them and then pull backwards, to roll Akari over her and end up with the sea turtle folded over with Cat's bodyweight over her legs as she bent her back to place her hands on the mat to bridge and aid in trying to catch Akari with a victory star roll up pin!

Akari battered away at Catalina's guard, unleashing hell on earth in the form of several punches and kicks that kept the woman guessing. However, it wouldn't take long for her slick opponent to respond with a method of her own, showing her prowess and on-the-spot creativity. Some people think best under pressure, and Akari began to believe Catalina was one of those people as she slipped by a punch, swerving behind the Sea Turtle after finding the gap between her strikes. She pushes the Japanese woman into the ropes, forcing her to rebound off them, delivering Akari back into her grasp for a surprise Victory Star Roll-Up!!!

Akari quickly used the strength in her legs to kick out of the pin, breaking free before the bridge could be secured. A very sly move on Catalina's part. How very resourceful!!! Akari was delighted to see how her opponent responded to her offensive assault. Not many people were well-versed in handling a striker, so seeing Catalina's creative method of using her environment in tandem with a gap in Akari's attack to her advantage was quite impressive. Once the Sea Turtle stood back up, she would take a moment to fix her hair, brushing it back with a smirk as the crowd applauded them both yet again for another intense sequence. This action was shorter than the other but still just as impactful. Akari joined the crowd by clapping her hands, giving her opponent further praise as her radiant smile expanded into a grin. "Very impressive! Had I not been aware, that could've been quite an early upset, no~?"

Nearly overwhelmed in a flurry of blows by Akari it was everything that Catalina could do to keep up with her defense against them, but she wasn't going to allow herself to be defeated by the woman so easily. Luckily Cat was all too versed in using the environment to her advantage as she managed to reverse their positions all together by catching Akari in a victory roll pin! Unfortunately, Akari wasn't gonna lose so easily either and kicked out, but Cat had gotten a near fall out of it.

Rolling away after the kick out Cat would hold a finger up at Akari as she grinned at the Turtle in a way that matched the woman's energy before standing back up. "Si I didn't expect to win that way, but it kept you on your toes no?" Akari asked back at Akari with a cheeky chuckle before she began to circle the woman. "But I at least got the first pin attempt that way.." She added, taking that as a personal point for herself before darting forward back at Akari, looking to lock up with her once again before she could come in with a rain of blows like before!

Before she knew it, Akari was accosted by the woman after a brief pause. The crowd is barely given a moment of rest before the two engage in another high-octane grappling contest. Akari huffs, keeping pace with Catalina as she interlocks with her, holding her ground while simultaneously trying to force her opponent back. The raven-haired Sea Turtle shakes and tugs, pushing and pulling with Catalina to vie for control. The Sea Turtle didn't want to slow down, not even for a moment. This match would be moving ONE-HUNDRED miles a minute, both fighters pushing their bodies to function at one-hundred-and-TEN percent capacity. Every muscle in their bodies worked overtime to compensate for the intense back-and-forth action, with both fighters working up quite the sweat as they moved in the blink of an eye, shifting positions every couple of moments to keep each other guessing.

"Gh-...pin attempt huh? Well-...if you wanna talk about that~..." Akari said, trailing off before sending a knee right into the gut of her Argentinian opponent, driving some air out of the young woman's lungs. She attempted to force Catalina to double over in shock, aiming to use this chance to hop on top of her opponent's back. Once situated, the Sea Turtle would unleash a mighty war cry as she jolts forward, locking her legs around Catalina's waist and flipping her over for a Code Red!!! "ORAA~~~AAAHHH!!!!" Akari roars, slamming Catalina back first onto the mat with a loud -BOOM- before folding the woman's legs over and keeping her shoulders pressed down against the canvas for a surprise pin attempt!!!

Not wanting to give Akari the change to surge forward for another wave of strikes Catalina would attempt to cut the woman off with a grapple! Granted technical skill wasn't her complete wheel house, but she certainly felt better about it than attempting to simulate a cage fight against an opponent that was bigger, stronger, and more versed in such combat than her. That being said though the size and strength was proving to be Cat's biggest obstacle in this test of strength as Cat pushed and struggled against Akari, trying and failing to get some kind of definitive lead.

Unfortunately though before she could do so Akari would make use of that striking skill of hers to send a kick up, right into Cat's gut! "Oof!" Cat gasped out in pain as she doubled over, just as Akari wanted before the Turtled hopped onto her back, and took Catalina off her feet and into the mat with a hard impact and follow up pin! 'No!' Cat thought to herself, refusing to lose this easily as she tensed her abs and, even with her legs under Akari's control, flexed them forward as Cat tried to use them and her abs to pull Akari back turn things around! "Hagh!" She'd roar with effort if successful, holding onto Akari's own legs as she did so, the force of her reversal carrying Catalina forward slightly.. crotch first into Akari's face as she tried for a reversal pin on the woman!

Akari nearly had her opponent beat with that surprise Code Red, flipping her over and slamming her foe's backside onto the rough mat beneath their feet. After planting Catalina onto the canvas, Akari secured the woman's legs, aiming for a quick flash-pin victory. However, the astute woman retained enough wherewithal after impact to resist the Sea Turtle's grasp, instinctively struggling to break free before the count of three. With an ever-so-slight stroke of luck mixed with an extensive portion of skill, Catalina managed to not only BREAK the pin but overturn it...reversing the hold in its entirety and sitting atop the Japanese woman's visage, her head between her legs as her pelvis rested against Akari's face. Akari blushed as her eyes widened, suddenly left in shock as her opponent mounted atop her face, pinning her down. Though the moment was a surprise and thoroughly tantalizingly, Akari broke free quickly, using her free arms to shove Catalina off her before the referee could get past the count of one. Once free, the Sea Turtle would roll to her feet, breaking another sequence between her and her Argentinian opponent as the crowd treated them to another round of applause. Akari's blush takes a wild to fade, but she keeps her emotions in check, wiping her lips and smirking as she tries to keep a level head. "Well...Someone's a flirt~." She teased.

Catalina was caught full force by the sunset flip and follow up pin, a bit of a receipt for her own initial pinfall attempt. Yet she refused to let this be the end of her, in fact she refused to even settle for a kick out. This match was about proving her skill to LAW, and to a lesser but just as important sense showing Akari that she meant what she had said. That she would give one hundred and ten percent in this match, and that meant that if she could reverse something.. she would! So with a mighty pump of her legs and tensing her abs as much as possible Catalina would look to roll the two over, reversing the pinning predicament so that Cat was on top of Akari, pinning the woman's shoulders down to the mat with an inadvertent face sit!

Though Cat's grip on Akari's legs wasn't as good as she liked, and Akari still had her arms, so Cat was shoved off relatively easily, but she'd still take the situation as a win. Rolling a bit away as Akari got up Cat would grin at Akari. "Not.. Intentionally.. honest." Cat said between huffs, a grin present on her face before she ran back at Akari... only to duck under any attempts at an attack from the woman to run at the ropes behind her instead, looking to rebound off them and come back at the middleweight, attempting to leap up as she approached to try and land a running drop kick on the woman!

After the sudden "encounter" between the two high-octane, fast-paced competitors, a momentary reprieve was taken before the next explosive rush of events. It wouldn't take long for either woman to kick things back up to eleven as Catalina made the first move. The up-and-coming Argentinian star blitzed her Japanese opponent head-on, much to Akari's approval. The Sea Turtle was thriving off the energy that Cat was giving her. This intensive back-and-forth was like nothing she had ever experienced in LAW before. It was one thing to fight someone stronger than you, more experienced than you, more sensual than you, or even weaker than you...but there was NOTHING that compared to chaotic, unyielding matches like this one, where every second was a spectacular blur of movements. Blink once, and you'd miss out on three separate things. This was all a battle to see who could push forward at full throttle to the very end. Akari aimed to cut her opponent off with a swift Roundhouse Kick to the head, but Catalina was prepared with a well-timed dodge. The Argentinian woman veered around at the last moment, swiftly dodging her opponent's dangerous kick and returning fire after rebounding off the ropes, launching herself toward Akari with a Running Dropkick that sent the Sea Turtle flying backward upon impact, tumbling across the ring until her back hit the ropes, leaving her partially propped up against them with one arm slung around the middle-most cord.
