Corey Sniper vs. HEAT Mihoko - Apex Qualifier Match

Putting some distance between herself and Mihoko, Corey tried to regain her bearing. But then, she saw her opponent charging towards her, and Corey immediately tried to brace herself for whatever that might come next. But instead of landing an attack, HEAT moved past Corey, running towards the ropes before rebounding from them.

Unable to react in time, Corey couldn't stop HEAT from swinging around for a headscissor position. Corey couldn't stop her opponent as she was then sent towards the closest corner with an arm drag. "NNGHH!!" Corey grunted as she hit the turnbuckle. She grimaced, gritting her teeth. For the time being, she was unable to bring up any defense to protect herself from her opponent's next attack.

HEAT was on fire as she kept Corey guessing with her innovative offense. Managing to swing them both around until she transitioned into an arm drag, Mihoko sent Sniper into the corner, backing her up against it as the Hot-Blooded Fighter landed on one knee, a wide grin on her face as she lined up Corey again. "You're through!" screamed HEAT as she slit her thumb over her own throat.

And then HEAT Mihoko blasted forward towards Corey, ready to unleash another attack while her opponent was in the corner. Putting a whole host of speed behind her, when she got close, she leaped into the air, sending her foot coming directly sending a Flying Roundhouse Kick towards Corey's skull. She would keep going, letting her momentum carry herself over the top rope before grabbing onto the top rope with both hands to keep herself from flying to the outside, instead pulling herself in to land on the apron! She hoped to land the move and send Corey Sniper into a world of pain with her blistering strike!

Corey could see how relentless her opponent was that after sending her to the corner, HEAT proceeded to deliver a barrage of strikes, hitting Corey. The former Wrestle Angel could do nothing but try to protect herself from all those strikes. The strike to her head had left her rattled, and once HEAT was done, Corey was left hanging at the corner, gasping and wheezing as she struggled to keep herself upright.

"Ergh..." Corey shook her head, trying to get her mind focused. For the time being, she was in a rather precarious position, and HEAT would be free to do whatever she wished to her.

HEAT landed on the apron, holding on tight as she threw a fist in the air. She glanced at Corey, who seemed especially dazed from her last hit. She somehow stayed upright against the corner, likely due to her arms around the ropes, but Mihoko thought that was just fine. She'd beat down Sniper any way she wanted. "Aww... I thought you could handle my best!" said HEAT, giving a shove to Corey's head and sneering at her. "Because I got a lot more of that for you!"

The Hot-Blooded Fighter would then climb up to the top rope and grab hold of Corey in a dragon sleeper position upon getting to the top. She gave Sniper a big tug to cinch it in tighter, grinning. Then the fiery wrestler would perform a flip forward, attempting to hit a flipping cutter on Corey with the intent to drive her face into the mat hard! It would be an effective move to follow up her already blistering offense, and she was looking to send Corey Sniper into a next level of pain!

Corey grunted, still at the corner as she tried to regain her bearing and recover as quickly as possible, but it looked like Mihoko wasn't going to give her such opportunity as she climbed up the turnbuckle behind Corey before she put her into a dragon sleeper. "Aaarghhh..." Corey groaned, unable to stop the other woman from setting her up for her next move before she performed a flip forward, sending Corey face first onto the mat. "AGGHHHH!!!" She crashed face first onto the mat, and she slumped against the canvas, groaning in pain.

HEAT's flipping cutter paid off as she went from the top rope and dropped down with Corey, smashing her into the mat! Mihoko started off the match hot, which was typical for her, but this was going particularly well for the Hot-Blooded Fighter. Arm pumping after she landed on the mat, she would then grab hold of one of Corey's arms, dragging her away from the ropes. "Guess you couldn't handle my best after all, could you?" taunted HEAT, getting her opponent out of range of a rope break.

She then shoved Sniper over and then pointed to the ref. "Count her!" Mihoko hooked over of Corey's leg and then cinched in a tight cover, on her opponent, trying for an early end for the match!

"ONE!"

Corey was on the mat after taking Mihoko's move, and soon, Mihoko went ahead to roll Corey over onto her back. She groaned before she realized what her opponent was about to do. The referee was next to them, counting the pin. Corey would immediately try to regain her bearing as the referee reached the count of two.

"TWO!"

After the count of two, Corey would immediately kick out, breaking the pin. Clicking her tongue, she would try to shove Mihoko away from her so that she could properly recover. "Nghh... t-too early for that..." She said.

Mihoko locked in that leg as she pinned Corey into the mat, going for the win. She didn't think this would get the win, but there was no harm in trying. Unfortunately, Sniper kicked out after two, and HEAT shook her head before she was pushed away slightly. "Oh, it's actually that it's too late for you!" exclaimed HEAT with a laugh.

Not giving Corey too much time to recover, the Hot-Blooded Fighter would attempt to pull her opponent to her feet. HEAT Mihoko was still fired up and wanted to continue her offense. "I'm in a bit of a hurry though," said the brunette before making her move. She would attempt to swiftly throw Corey back with a Snap Suplex, wanting to surprise her opponent with a quick slam to the mat. It would help keep her momentum, which HEAT was definitely all about.

Even though she managed to kick out of the pin, Corey was still trying to recover, and HEAT took this opportunity to capitalize on this as she pulled Corey up before she set her up for a snap suplex. Unable to stop her opponent, Corey was slammed down to the mat, and she cried out in pain as she crashed.

"AGHH!!"

Things didn't seem too good for the former Wrestle Angel, and she needed to do something, or else she might end up beaten by her opponent in this match.

HEAT Mihoko had managed to heave Corey Sniper up and over in a swift Snap Suplex, beating on that spine of her opponent even more. She grinned happily as she sat back up, satisfied with her maneuver. At this point, she felt confident in herself. Her momentum had barely even been depleted and she still felt mostly fresh in this match up with plenty in the tank to keep fighting. "Come on! I'm starting to give you my best and this can't be your best, because this is just sad!" taunted HEAT, grabbing hold of Sniper to start forcing her up.

Then, she would toss her sternum-first onto the middle rope and let her hang there. Mihoko was ready to blast forward with another big attack. Pointing to the opposite end of the ring, she leaped up and made a full on sprint towards the ropes before rebounding back off of them, picking up more and more speed! She would then go for a running knee directly towards the back of Corey's head, wanting to seriously blast her in the skull and keep working on her head! HEAT didn't show any signs of slowing, and she certainly wasn't about to let up on her opponent.
