Fighting Style:
This is how I roll!
Spoiler
Manami has very little experience in the ring. So people with moderate and even more experience use that to their advantage. Manami is also naive so even some small deceptive tactics can go a long way against Manami. Speed is also a lacking trait for Manami. While she can’t zip around the ring like a speedster. Manami is incredibly fast for her size. If she is going in one direction. Think of Manami like a train when it comes to her speed. That said, Manami is an absolute powerhouse. Her history in world class weightlifting means that she can lift opponents significantly heavier than her. Opponents lighter than Manami will be treated like rag dolls if she can get a hand on them. Being the powerhouse that she is, Manami also doubles with striking power. Despite not looking like it, Manami is also quite flexible, so submissions have varying degrees of success on her. Manami will always opt to take things into her realm. Looking to slam and throw her opponent. People outside of that spectrum and can use it wisely are a big bane to Manami

Fighting stages:
Spoiler
Flame Breathing: This is a rare state for Manami. She is only able to reach this state when it is against someone she truly dislikes. Which already is a hard thing for Manami. In this state Manami is much more aggressive than usual. The health of her opponent be damned. While Manami is in this state, she essentially becomes the hulk. All strength, but no foundational skill and tact. So Manami is seemingly more novice like in this state, but more dangerous. It would not be a surprise for Manami to put people through some tables, or even the ring itself.

Battle Stats:
Oh, this isn’t too bad is it?
Strength: 10/10: Aside from the Olympic weight lifting. It’s safe to say that Manami is ridiculously strong.
Speed: 7/10: Manami’s speed is more of a sprinter as opposed to using that speed effectively.
Stamina: 8/10: Manami’s been instilled with the body to go on. It’s whether or not her drive/mind can keep up
Endurance: 8/10: Despite not being the biggest fan of being hit. Manami is still built to last.
Defense: 6/10: Manami knows how to keep herself safe, but its not hard to overwhelm her novice defense
Technique: 4/10: Outside of the textbook moves or wrestling moves on TV. Manami knows the basic stuff, but is always looking to learn.
Wrestling Stats:
I’m a work in progress
Strikes: 7/10: While not able to have pinpoint accuracy with her blows. Manami’s strength alone makes her strikes dangerous.
Powerhouse: 10/10: Manami is able to muscle her way with the strongest. Able to lift up the heaviest wrestlers over her head
Submissions: 5/10: Knows the basics but only gets some points because of her strength
Counters: 2/10: Outside of a simple counter punch. Manami is essentially muscling her way through most things. Not the best at being technical.
Aerials: 2/10: Manami is deftly scared of heights. But will only do so if she is overflowing with confidence. To the point of it being arrogance.

Personality
Sugar Spice and everything nice
Spoiler
Manami is a very emotional, passionate, and jovial individual who constantly compliments people in her head. Although she is rather shy and is easily flustered, Manami is always kind to others. However, despite her gentle and seemingly innocent demeanor, Manami will show no mercy in the face of true enemies, instead expressing such sentiments with a fierce tone. She showcases a great amount of dedication to wrestling. As a subconscious way to prove her way.

Besides her rather emotional personality, Mitsuri can also come off as somewhat childlike at times. When she is asked to explain the process of something , she describes it using noises and sounds. She is a very caring person, always showing others her love. She can get rather excitable, grabbing her friends for a big group hug after a big event or match.

History:
Nothing to see here, you can move on…
Spoiler
Manami was born into a large family. Manami being the 4th of 5 children. 3 girls and 2 boys. The Kubo family was renowned for their health and workout products. Legend has it that Manami’s ancestors were the ones responsible for the rigorous training of samurai and ninja alike. The Kubo family in truth were actually the close protectors of the shogun. Known for their large and frightening disposition. Manami at such a young age displayed an unnatural strength. This was thanks to her unique muscle composition. Shocking everyone in the family despite knowing the history. The muscle composition seemed to be a trait that was missed for generations. Instead landing on Manami for a reason still unexplained. Manami grew up eating more than the average person. As she got older, Manami needed to support her body with the proper fuel and vitamins. Manami was not like her siblings. She ended up liking things that were not natural for the standard Japanese girl. Things like weightlifting, wrestling, boxing, and the works. Manami wasn’t sure why she liked it, but the personalities were so enthralling and the fights following were the best. Then like many Japanese women raised in traditional families. At a certain age they would need to be subjected to an arranged marriage. For various reasons political, financial and sometimes even fame to name a few. While Manami’s other sisters were wedded off with no issues. The family reaping all of the benefits with little to no issues. Manami seemed to be the only one that could not get married. Suitor after suitor, potential husband after potential husband, they all declined marrying Manami. Citing her as a muscle freak or a giant. One of them even referred to Manami as the hulk. The constant failed attempts to marry Manami off were making her and the family the butt of a joke. A joke that seemed to be hurting their standing. Something the family could endure, but only for a time. At a certain point they saw it best to cut their losses and remove Manami from the family.

Why would they do that? How could they do that? What was Manami to do next? Well she did the natural thing to her and tried faking it till she made it. Dying her hair black and eating less even if it hurt her health. Luckily because of this she was able to manage to land a partner. While things were looking good for a time. Manami became doubtful, wondering whether or not pretending to be a different person would truly work out for her. That being said, Manami and her partner separated. Whether or not it was amicable or negative is unsure.

Leaving her alone with no one else. The one person who sought her out was her uncle. Akita Kubo, a man who himself had been ostracized from the family for reasons unknown. Manami was always told to stay away from her uncle Akita. Yet Manami being Manami she always had love in her heart for uncle Akita. Akita has always had a soft spot for Manami or anyone else fucked over by the family. Akita told Manami to reject normalcy and embrace who she was and her strength. It was all a gift, not a curse. So the first thing Akita did was put Manami into some actual muscle training. Before it was all genetic and talent, now it was a matter of honing in on that.

Manami was a natural pro in the gym. Her foundation was solid because of her uncle’s training. At first she was against the gym, but that was because her family shunned the idea of a woman in a gym. Manami, though, found weightlifting surprisingly fun. Super fun actually, the act of challenging herself to lift more was all she needed to keep going. At some point Manami herself was becoming a gym rat. So much so that she wanted to aspire for the Olympics. Winning that would be the highest honor she could have. Even more so as a subconscious way to prove to herself that she isn’t worthless and a backhand to her family.

Didn’t feel like it but years would go by and Manami would qualify for Olympic weightlifting. She would place within the top 5 of the 5 events needed to qualify. Only placing 1st in her 3rd event. Now it would be natural to be able to qualify for Japan. The following competitions felt more stressful than the qualifying ones before. It seemed like everyone was watching her. It was actually too stressful. Manami was full on willing to bow out but her uncle reassured her that no one would be watching, (lie) and this would only be for Manami doing what she likes. Now being filled with confidence. Manami went out there and was able to qualify for the Japanese team.

Fast forwarding through all of that, Manami was able to snag a silver medal at the Olympics. Which in reality should have been gold as it was discovered the winner had been using illegal substances prior to the event. Yet even with being given the gold second hand it felt like a hollow victory. This was the first time Manami was angry, truly angry at something. Not being sure how to lash out, Akita got Manami, a wrestling teacher and a punching bag. With someone her size so angry, it could be very dangerous for anyone and everyone really. During Manami’s first lesson she was ecstatic. She felt like one of those wrestlers or larger than life personalities she saw growing up. Manami was never a violent person, but the competition was always fun. So maybe it was something she could kinda maybe somehow overlook. Thankfully, despite the ass beating she was getting. Manami was loving wrestling, it was like outside of weight lifting this was becoming a true passion for her.

While most stories at this point have people going right into the deep end. Akita had Manami start slow and slow with amateur boxing, wrestling and mma opponents. The thing is with Manami, she is so physically gifted that most of her opponents looked even greener than amateurs. Not that Manami was a pro herself. It was only her physique doing most of the work. Seeing as how a Olympic “gold” medalist was looking to sink her teeth into wrestling. Law was quick to pounce on Manami. Looking to have a gold medalist on their roster. Like a particular promotion and wrestler in the west.
