Puppets and Trolling: Matilda Jacobs [D] vs. Hana Choi

Matilda giggled and innocently put her hands behind her back as Hana was growing a little bit frustrated with the attempts of playing her own game against her. However, Matilda did raise an eyebrow about a possible lawsuit against her for copyright infringement and how Hana would win in court easily. Matilda was about to question her, but Hana surprised her with a Superkick to the jaw! The puppeteer went down and groaned holding her chin as she had to keep a hand there to wait for the pain to subside. However, she couldn’t waste a chance to get a bit cocky and taunt Hana some more.

“That was weak! My grandmother gives me cheek kisses more powerful than that weak kick!” Matilda joked.

At last, Hana had struck! It looked as though the match was off to a rough start for the pink-haired girl, but after she had fallen victim to some well-timed counters from Matilda, she was finally able to land a hit - and one that seemed to leave Matilda rattled as she went reeling from the blow to her jaw! A cocky smirk crossed her face as she placed her hands on her hips, leaning in closer to Matilda. But the puppeteer wasn't going to let that take her down. She threw a taunt back at Hana, daring her to do better!

But to that...Hana would simply cock her head to the side, flashing a wink and a smirk in Matilda's direction. If Matilda wanted her to play hardball, she'd get what she bargained for! Even if it seemed like Matilda was only bluffing, given how she was hanging back and trying to nurse the pain, it wouldn't slow Hana down one bit. She could just as easily claim she was answering her opponent's taunts, and it let her keep on the pressure while she had the advantage!

"Ohh? Well...why didn't ya say so? You want something better than that, I can oblige!" With that, Hana turned on her heel, swinging her other foot up to land another superkick to Matilda's jaw right after the first! And if it hit, it would be Hana's turn to do the taunting - something she liked doing more than anything!

Clapping her hands together, Hana stood tall as she stepped back from Matilda, beaming with pride. "And didja know, that's not even my strongest kick!" Hopefully, Matilda would take the bait...

Matilda was hurting, but if she left Hana to grab any momentum off her, Hana would fully act on it. Matilda had to push through if she wanted to land herself credibility. However, Hana called her shot and hit another Superkick making Matilda spit out as the Lioness went back on her back and she gritted her teeth to feel the pain of the kick. Hana taunted over her and Matilda wasn’t about to let her get the satisfaction of talking down to her.

Matilda launched a mule kick straight into Hana’s stomach hoping to bring the Korean reality star down on her back. If that succeeded, Matilda hopped on Hana’s body raining down punches on her head. The Superkick may have grounded her, but she can still do stuff from below!

Hana had Matilda on the ropes, but she wasn't about to stop there! As long as the puppeteer was stunned, there was nothing she could do to prevent herself from taking further damage, as long as Hana pressed the advantage. With another well-placed superkick, Hana managed to bowl her foe over completely, sending her to the ground with a thud! She placed her hands on her hips, leaning over forward to fix her eyes on her opponent with a smug smirk. This time, Matilda didn't have any taunts to throw back at her - evidently, that meant she had delivered on her promises to exceed her expectations.

But for all of Hana's taunts and threats, Matilda still wasn't going down! That was something Hana was about to learn the hard way - as Matilda shot out with both feet, slamming them straight into Hana's unprotected midsection! The cocky look on her face soon turned to a surprised gasp, as her footing gave way and she came crashing down into the mat. It seemed the ace up Hana's sleeve was going to have to wait. She had underestimated how quickly Matilda could strike back, and now she was paying for it!

Grabbing at her side, Hana rolled back and forth, coughing and gasping in an atempt to catch her breath. But Matilda wasn't about to give her the time to recover. Before the pink-haired girl could get out of the way, Hana was upon her, taking the mounted position and raining punches down at Hana's face! She cried out in shock as each blow rattled her, causing her to shake back and forth and her hips to buck. Hana scrambled to get her forearms up over her face, hoping to buy herself some time while she blocked Matilda's incoming blows. If she could do that, she would brace her feet aganst the mat and buck upward with her hips and back in an attempt to throw her opponent off of her!

Matilda growled as she laid punches and elbows into Hana even trying to break through her guard. Hana bucked her off as Matilda went rolling past the referee before pushing herself up. Jessie cheered her friend on and tried getting the crowd cheering behind her as Matilda grabbed Hana up by her pink hair to throw her into the corner. Matilda then unleashed a slap across Hana’s face with her left hand as the crowd uttered “OOOOOOHHHH!” Matilda then used the top rope to start quickly kicking Hana down into a seated position in the corner.

When Hana managed to shake Matilda off of her, she was quick to prop herself back up onto her elbows, taking in a few breaths to recenter herself and clear her mind. But even then, Matilda wasn't going to give her the time to get ready before she had closed in on her once again, grabbing her by the hair and hurling her toward the corner! She let out a yelp as she went spinning into the turnbuckle, landing against it with a thud as her teeth clenched from the pain. And she was still stunned as Matilda decided to push her advantage further - first slapping Hana across the face with enough force to send her head cracking to the side, and then jumping up from the top rope to knock the Korean girl off her feet!

With Matida's feet coming crashing down into her chest, Hana sank lower into the corner, letting out a groan - and the fans sent out a cheer, impressed with Matilda's efforts so far! It was quickly becoming clear that, for whatever she might have lacked in experience, the puppeteer was no less capable, and she was definitely keeping her opponent on her toes. In fact, it seemed as though she'd struck Hana so hard that she began to lean over to the side, her body sagging against the ropes before she at last slipped through and went tumbling out onto the apron, and then the canvas below a moment later!

For a moment, the referee took a pause. It didn't seem like Matilda had hit Hana that hard, or even that it should have been possible to knock someone out of the ring from such a position. But Hana remained where she'd fallen, slumped motionlessly against the floor and flat on her face. When it seemed as though she wouldn't get up any time soon, the fans sent out another cheer for Matilda, and the ref, not without some confusion, began the count. "One! Two!"

Matilda herself was a little confused at how just hard Hana sold her kicks, but she just figured Hana wanted to get the hell out of dodge to save herself some stamina. Not to mention, if the Lioness went outside, Hana would just be baiting her so she sat back and let the referee do her count. “3! 4!” counts came as Matilda soaked in the appraisal of the crowd before going to grab Odiva. She cleared her throat and then spoke in the puppet’s voice again since she had time to perform.

“THANK YOU, DEAR FANS! This is the kind of talent only myself would represent. MATILDA SHALL WIN FOR YOU ALL TONIGHT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Odiva declared as Matilda moved her arms.

"Five! Six! Seven!

The count was still coming, and Hana was still laying in a heap outside the ring, never so much as budging. A few of the fans still watched her warily - knowing what they did about Hana's antics, everyone was waiting for the other shoe to drop, but so far, the pink-haired girl didn't show any signs of life. Besides, there was plenty going on in the ring that would soon grab their attention. As Matilda grabbed her puppet and put on a show for the crowd, she was greeted with still more laughs, claps, and cheers. The match might not have been formally over, but Matilda had a way of getting everyone to overlook that with her infectious energy and her engaging performance. If she had the opportunity now to show that off, so much more the better! Her confidence in the face of danger had endeared everyone to her side, and now they were eager to celebrate what seemed to be an upset!

"Eight! Nine! Te-"

But as many had already suspected, Hana wasn't out. She was perfectly capable of getting back into the ring - she just chose not to, knowing it would infuriate the fans all the more if she let them believe Matilda had beaten her only to yank that satisfaction away from them at the last second. Even better, she was hoping it could set Matilda herself off her game, leaving her open for Hana to take advantage! Just before the final count was to come, Hana's arm shot up from the floor and grabbed the bottom rope - and moments later, she pulled herself back up afterward, climbing the ropes so that she was standing on the bottom rope, with her hands cupping her chin and her elbows resting on the top rope as she leaned in to look at Matilda with a smug smirk. A few fans booed and groaned at such developments, but it didn't seem to bother Hana one bit.

"Nice job! Looks like you've got a knack for performance," she cheered, completely ignoring her narrow brush with disqualification. "Too bad you don't wrestle as good as you can do puppet stuff." Hana was hoping such a taunt would get Matilda to take the bait and close in on her. If it did, she would be ready to spring off the ropes to try and tackle her with a splash!

Matilda loved putting on an engaging show for the crowds and found it heartwarming that they loved her puppets. Puppetry and ventriloquism were lost in the modern world, but some entertainers kept it alive with one being Jeff Dunham as he was completely favorited in America nearing his old age. However, who was not favorited was Hana as she managed to make everyone wait on her to rise and get back on the apron faking that she was seriously hurt. Matilda was glad it wasn’t serious, but was not impressed that Hana would try to insult her wrestling when it was clear to everyone in the room that Matilda had taken the reins in this match so far.

“Oh, Sleeping Beauty decided to wake up from her slumber. You wish to insult my client yet you stand on the opposing side behind the safety of these ropes. Too scared to face a REAL WOMAN in the ring? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!” Matilda made Odiva say as the crowd chanted “HANA IS A CHICKEN!” at the former reality star.

However, Hana would silence those chants hitting Matilda with a splash as Odiva screamed going outside to the mats. Jessie grabbed the puppet and looked back to the ring seeing her friend groaning after being splashed down upon by Hana.

Hana was content to make a fool of both Matilda and the audience at the same time. After waiting until the very last moment, she climbed up onto the ropes, folding her hands beneath her chin, and looking back at her opponent with a smirk. As long as Hana was on the ropes, she technically wasn't out of bounds, which meant the count stopped. But she was willing to take her time in geting back inside, too - for now, she was perfectly content to stay there, looking back at Matilda with a mocking grin. She wanted to make it look like Matilda's moves had barely even fazed her, all while she wasted her time and left her waiting for her to actually make a move. She was all but convinced that this was just what she needed to get under the girl's skin.

What she wasn't expecting was that, rather than be whipped into a rage, Matilda was just going to throw Hana's tricks back at her! She hurled some taunts of her own at the Korean girl - and when she heard the arena take Matilda's side, cheering behind her with "HANA IS A CHICKEN!", her jaw dropped in a gasp. Not only was her plan not working, Matilda was just needling Hana back, and judging from the fans' response, she was outdoing her at it! But her eyes soon narrowed into a glare, and her fingers wrapped tighter around the ropes. If taunting wasn't going to work, Hana was just going to play hardball.

She leaned a little closer, pressing her weight down against the ropes - and hurled herself over them, coming crashing into Matilda to flatten her against the mat! Now that Matilda had been laid out by the splash, Hana shot a glare down at her. "You know...all jokes aside, I hope you realize there's more to me than that!" As if to prove her point, Hana would demonstrate some of her wrestling knowledge - she leaned down over Matilda, her legs wrapping underneath her arms to keep them held down, before she grabbed for her chin to wrench back on her head in a camel clutch!
