Misaki wasn't sure what to think about this whole thing. She wasn't all that old herself, with her entering her thirties this year. But here she was, getting herself into an event where she could put herself into a race for the ultimate prize; the Openweight title (and the Middleweight too, if she was being lucky). Misaki herself didn't even start out as a proper professional wrestler, being an idol singer who then transitioned into a wrestler. It was thanks to her hard work as well as her luck that she managed to build herself up, becoming one of the top-tier wrestlers the world has to offer, even being called the Ace for her in-ring wizardry.

So, today was a special occasion where she would be facing another wrestler who had similar aspiration as her. It was a race for the prize, and Misaki was determined to win it. Wearing her signature pink singlet, Misaki would make her entrance as her music was triumphantly playing from the loudspeakers. The event itself was an open venue, where it was bright daylight. Smiling, Misaki waved her hand as she walked down to the ring where she would be facing her opponent, Cheryl Williams. The Ace of Berserk was confident in her ability and she was determined to win this match and put herself in the final race for the title.

Entering the ring, Misaki would rouse the crowd, getting them to cheer her name. She smiled brightly, making it clear that despite her being a successful wrestler, she was still a pop idol. It had been a while since the last time she actually sang in a concert, though due to her current schedule, it wasn't like she had any time to have a concert. She was no longer tied to any idol agency, being employed full-time by LAW at this point. After interacting with the spectators for a while, Misaki would make her way to the corner, waiting for her opponent to make her entrance. She did some light stretches to prepare herself for the match.

This was it, after her run-ins with the CWF Alumni Cheryl had her own Apex match to deal with, and it was against someone she'd always wanted to fight. Misaki Toyoda was a respected legend who'd seen it all, Cheryl couldn't think of a better opponent to meet at Apex, the pinnacle of LAW's best wrestlers vying for LAW's greatest achievement. Beat someone like her and she could defeat anyone in LAW, and during the build up had gotten close enough with her previous matches, but had lost every qualifier match up to this point. She knew the losses sucked but the lessons she picked up from them were too important to ignore, she had grown from her defeats and Misaki would see how much.

"LAW! Get ready for the Bouncin Bombshell!" Cheryl said before she leaped out from the entrance ramp waving her pom poms in the air. Big match or no, she couldn't resist showing people that she liked and knew how to have fun, skipping down the ramp waving her arms to an applause from all the people who supported her the entire way, who she didn't want to let down here. Cheryl jumped through the ropes and turned to look at Misaki with a friendly smile. "I get the Ace at Apex. Think I can earn that nickname if I win?" Cheryl asked laughing.

Misaki watched her opponent make her entrance, and she couldn't help but smile upon seeing her exuberance, with her doing her cheerleader routine, complete with pom-poms. She waited for her to join her in the ring, and soon, Cheryl entered the ring. Seeing the friendly smile on Cheryl's face, Misaki nodded and smiled at her before she replied to her, "Well, you need to beat more people if you want to call yourself an Ace, not just me." Being called the Ace of Berserk was something that came naturally for her, and she was actually proud of it even though it wasn't something that she came up for herself.

"Well then, let's see what you're made of, Cheryl. Show me what you got." After she was done doing light stretches, Misaki waited for the match to begin. Soon, the referee called for both wrestlers to get ready for the match. After making sure that none of them had any weapon hidden in their persons, the referee then called the bell, starting the match. Misaki would immediately get into a stance, holding out her hands as she carefully watched her opponent to see what she would do. She was planning to react to the move that the cheerleader would do, and from there, she would come up with her next moves.

The big match ahead of them called for both of them to get ready as soon as possible. Though they had their own pleasantries to get out of the way it was obvious that neither one of them wanted to wait too long. They had nothing mean to say to each other or any malice towards the other to speak of, and the only real thing they had to worry about was getting the chance to show off who they were and seeing who would come out on top and win this super important match.

"I'm all set! I can start with you, then earn that name if I become champion." Cheryl said though mostly joking about actually being called the Ace. She was looking to prove herself to be on her opponents level and once she was getting ready her mind started to focus, she had been through a rough ride between all of the hard hitting opponents she had fought to get here. She now had an opponent who was almost the complete package, like being told you had to fight yourself 10 years from now. It was enough to nearly knock all of the excitement out of her when the match actually started, leaving the bombshell cheerleader to take it slow and approach her opponent cautiously, and then deciding she needed to show that she was willing to take a risk by going low, reaching for legs and trying to push into her waist for an early take down.

As the match started, Misaki prepared herself for Cheryl's move. Seeing the cheerleader going low, targeting her legs, Misaki immediately widened the gap between her legs, retaining her footing and keeping herself upright even as her opponent grabbed her legs. But she wouldn't wait for too long as she would raise both her hands, clasping them together before she threw both of them down, hitting at the cheerleader's back with a double axe handle mere moment after she grabbed her legs.

Cheryl's reach for Misaki's legs was noticed and Misaki prepared herself to have to endure it by spreading them and widening her stance so Cheryl couldn't pull them together. The result of that meant once Cheryl brought her arms around her legs she could still stand and instead of falling raised her arms went for an axe handle to Cheryl's back while she was pulling on them more.

"Gaagh!" Cheryl groaned, dropping to a knee as her back seemed to curve from the move. Her grip on the legs remained but to avoid any more axe handles Cheryl let one of them go and would slide more to the left leg that she kept. She wasn't ready to stand up all at once but she could keep Misaki off balance by holding the leg for herself.

Hitting Cheryl with a double axe handle, Misaki could see that the cheerleader had fallen to her knees, but she refused to let go of her leg. Knowing that this would bring her trouble if she continued, Misaki had decided to tuck her chin in as she would make use of this situation to bring her other foot up, letting herself fall backwards, though as she brought her other foot up, she attempted to hit right at the side of Cheryl's head with an enzuigiri, hoping to rattle her even as she fell down to the mat.

In a high stakes match like this Cheryl found herself being extra stubborn for the sake of being able to accomplish something and prove that she was growing as a wrestler. That stubbornness was showing now, on her knees and refusing to let go of that leg no matter what, giving Misaki some trouble by doing it. Cheryl kept it tucked close to her and was trying to stand back up while holding it until Misaki acted instead, dropping down to lay there before she tried to kick at her head with an enziguri while she was going down.

"Aaugh!" Cheryl screamed when the kick hit her head. Disoriented by the hard kick that made a thud from connecting with her head, Cheryl stumbled and fell back to land on her butt while her hand went to her head. Cheryl groaned and shuffled back away from Misaki, unable to keep the hold sh eknew she needed space until she could focus on a new plan.

Misaki's gambit worked as she managed to hit Cheryl with an enzuigiri even as she let herself fall down to her back. Sitting up, she looked at the cheerleader before she pushed herself up. Seeing that Cheryl had shuffled back, Misaki had decided to make use of this situation by running past the cheerleader, moving towards the ropes to rebound from them and then returning back to her from behind.

As she approached Cheryl from behind after rebounding from the ropes, Misaki would use her momentum to jump up while grabbing her opponent's head. From there, she would then descended down to the mat, bringing Cheryl with her, face first, bringing her down with a running bulldog.

Knocked down before she had a chance to use her grip on Misaki's legs, Not the way Cheryl had thought she should start this match. She knew this would be hard, she needed to tell herself it was still going to be tough to avoid letting the worry of how hard the match would be to stop it from troubling her. She still had time to turn things around and stood up to get ready for Misaki again. Misaki was on her the moment she was up, she came from behind running at a full sprint and grabbed Chery's head while jumping, forcing her back down with a running bulldog that would plant Cheryl's face right on the mat.

"Uggh!" Cheryl groaned. Now that Misaki had gone after the front and back of her head, she was feeling the pain all over, blinking a few times to clear up her vision before she turned over and spat out the taste of the mat from her mouth.
