Sarabeth Chummers vs. Sakura Hagiwara: Lioness vs. Idol!

The crowd cheered loudly as The Steampunk Revolution seemed to be coming out for another old school presentation. Jessie would make her way out first as she tipped her hat to the fans raising her cane high as a clock birdhouse began lowering from the ceiling. The hands on the clock spun out of control for a few seconds before landing on midnight as a yellow bird popped out yelling “CUCKOO! CUCKOO! CUCKOO!” Sarabeth comes out and takes off her goggles throwing them to a lucky boy in the crowd before fist bumping her best friend as they make their way down the ramp.

“The following contest is set for one-fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by Jessie Alexander and representing The Steampunk Revolution, Sarabeth Chummers!”

Sarabeth slapped fives with fans as she did her “Shoulder Shimmy” to the crowd as they mimicked her. Sarabeth simply slid in the ring and pointed to the crowd determined to get her first win tonight. Her and Jessie didn’t quite get the job done in their debut match, but Sarabeth has the chance to bring momentum back to their side of the ring.

[Bare]

Stretching backstage Sakura prepared for her next match, a few more being handed to her than the past few months, something that made her eager and excite, especially since she had gone through some changes ever since her feud with Noelle. Wearing her new red ring gear and bouncing on her heels in preparation Sakura would nod to herself, knowing she was going up against a relative newcomer tonight, but given her experience with Moe the former idol knew she couldn't afford to underestimate the girl based on that fact alone.

Feeling ready and prepared Sakura would approach the gorilla position and bounce on her heels slightly before her new entrance music began to play, prompting Sakura to walk out and pose for the fans eliciting a loud reaction from them for her appearance. Strutting down the ramp and high fiving fans at ring side as she came down Sakura would approach the ring, leaping over the ropes and into the ring, her music starting to die down as she offered a kind smile at her opponent before walking backwards into her corner to wait for the bell.

Sarabeth had to do a double take as the crowd cheered even louder for their hometown pop idol, Sakura Hagiwara! The former jobber herself would serve as Sarabeth’s first singles opponent as she grabbed the top rope. When Sakura got in, Sarabeth walked to the center and did a formal bow to send respect to Sakura as she got her fists up. She nodded towards her smile and gave a grin as she stuck out her left hand for a sportsmanship gesture.

“Nice to see ya, Sakura! I watched you up against Jackal and even if she was going easy on you, you proved a lot against a world champion. You seriously made me think you were winning that match!” Sarabeth explained.

[Bare]

Entering the ring and staring down her young lioness opponent Sakura would smile softly at the green haired girl looking a bit stunned at her entrance. 'Guess no one told her she was facing me.' Sakura thought to herself with a soft giggle before blinking as she saw the girl do a bow to her, something that took Sakura off guard a bit, but not in a bad way.

Smiling as she saw Sarabeth stand back up and offer her hand, as well as a bit of fanning out making Sakura chuckle as she took Sarabeth's hand and shook it. "Yeah haha, it was definitely a formative match, but now it looks like your the one that about to be tested." Sakura said turning the conversation back around to the green haired girl before flashing her a wink and taking a step back to wait for the bell to ring.

“Then I hope you don’t mind extending your loss record,” Sarabeth joked.

DING! DING! DING!

The bell had rung and it was time to get serious for Sarabeth. She was taking on someone that had enough skills to be on her own and a former tag team champion from Berserk. Sakura may have been a weak wrestler starting out, but her new attire shows that she has grown bigger and stronger since her first match. Sarabeth came to the middle feinting for a lockup before ducking behind to grab Sakura by the waist before lifting her up to take her down on her stomach. She then switched up to a front facelock wrenching on Sakura’s head.

[Bare]

Sakura smirked slightly at the comeback from her opponent who, despite being a rookie seemed to not lack confidence at all. "Guess we'll see." Sakura said as she approached her opponent, hands up in preparation for a lock up, only for the green haired girl to duck down and out of her range! Eyes widening slightly Sakura found herself lifted up before dropped down onto her stomach with a grunt! "Ngh!" Sakura grunted out as Sarabeth then switched to a front face lock!

'I don't think so!' Sakura thought to herself as she pushed down on the mat and pushed her head down before pulling backwards to slip between her foes' arms and get behind her! If successful Sakura would reach for one of the girl's arms and pull it back while twisting it around before pushing down to force the limb against its owners back in a hammer lock to force Sarabeth to squash against the mat!

[Pegasus]

Sarabeth gasped as Sakura outwrestled her out of her facelock and then twisted her arm around the back. Sakura hunkered her weight down on Sarabeth as the rookie had to use her free hand to push herself up. She tried rolling back and forth to get Sakura up, but had to stop thinking she would just give Sakura ammunition to lock in a painful submission. Sarabeth had to be smarter than that! Sarabeth tried slipping out to her left before climbing atop the former idol’s back before sending powerful elbows into Sakura’s head!

[Bare]

Despite getting caught early by the rookie Sakura wasn't gonna be thrown off guard and put on the back foot so easily. Out maneuvering the girl and getting atop her with a firm grip on her arm to hold her down Sakura would climb atop the girl and bend her arm back, making her squirm and groan under her. Just as Sakura was about to capitalize though Sarabeth would slide out from under, jumping on her back in the process starting to hammer her with elbows! "Ngh! Agh!" Sakura groaned out in pain as the blows came down, before reaching up and grabbing Sarabeth's arm as it came down again, pushing up with her legs to stand... before turning and pulling on Sarabeth's arm, aiming to pull the girl over her shoulder and slam her down into the mat!

[Pegasus]

Sarabeth wasn’t about to let this former jobber get the best of her especially when she trained with Alania Sanders and the many other trainers within the Young Lioness Program. She hammered Sakura with so many elbows trying to keep her down, but Sakura fought through the pain. She grabbed Sarabeth’s arm and hit a judo throw over her shoulder! Sarabeth hit the canvas and rolled on her side groaning as Jessie slapped the apron trying to hype her friend up. This wasn’t going good out of the starting gate.

Sarabeth was definitely more skilled than Sakura had expected, being able to match her, albeit briefly, in technical skill and use the chance to hammer her with elbows. It was intense, but Sakura was starting to come out on the other side now after flipping her foe over her and making her roll. 'Alright.' Sakura thought to herself, waiting for the green haired girl to start getting back up before turning and running at the ropes, looking to bounce off them and rebound towards Sarabeth's rising form, leaping up while twisting midair to try and land a flying hip attack right into the girl's face!
