An Interview With Sunshine (Feat. Alix Jacques and Gabriella Soto)

And there was one of the downsides. That seeming aversion to compliments -- that stubborn belief that one was less than -- could be a bit trying sometimes. She understood that it was never without reason, however.

After catching Gabriella catching her tongue before her next words could cross it, she simply gave her an inviting smile. One that said, "Okay, I'm curious. Go ahead and let it go." She didn't know if the more reserved woman would bite, and unfortunately, Mama Pollard came to take their orders before she could find out.

After it arrived, Alix sipped at her lemonade as Gabriella got started on her first question. Watching her have such a hard time starting the very conversation she asked for tickled her.

She had to be new to this.

Alix held her laughter in, lest her interviewer take it the wrong way. Once she finally found the words, her answer was immediate.

"I did. It's not quite as interesting as you might think, though. Didn't have to have sex with anybody."

She shook her head to add a little emphasis to her latter sentence.

"And in fact, I'd like to say to any girls reading this who are considering starting a career in porn that requiring a prospective talent to have sex with someone before they get the part is actually a pretty big red flag that the production isn't on the up and up. So if that's what you're told, walk away.

But yeah, before I got into porn, I did modeling. Just your regular gothic fashion stuff at first, but eventually, I started doing work in fetish modeling because 'Ooh, so freaky and exciting!'"

She let out a little giggle before continuing.

"I made a good friend there who also worked in the porn industry: Sinthia Diamond. Lovely lady."

She raised her hands to her chest, laying one over the other above her heart in an affirmative gesture.

"So we were hanging out at her place one morning, eating breakfast, talking about the scenes she was doing for a film called "Captivity and Rapture". Totally recommend it if you're into femdom action. So I'm sitting there, jaw on the table, salivating, and I'm like, 'My, oh my!'"

Another giggle as she fanned herself.

"I'm like, "That sounds so hot, that sounds like so much fun", and then she asks me if I'd like to do a girl-girl scene with her. She said she had a friend who was trying to put something together. Everything else was ready to go; he just needed actors. I say, "Yes, please!", and she goes and puts in a word, and a little bit after that, I go in to do my audition.

Now, like I was saying before, auditioning isn't all that exciting. Even though I was brought in on a recommendation, there was still a lot of paperwork and stuff to go through, which is how it should be. And after that, it was just reading lines, coming up with ad-libs, you know, just proving that I can be a decent actress, showing that I can be a performer while I still have my clothes on and not just when I'm getting down and dirty.

So I did all that, and eventually, I get word that I got the part. They call me in for a meeting where we go over all the finer details, make sure that everybody's on board and on the same page, and the rest is history!"

Alix looked down at nothing in particular for a moment, replaying her very first scene in her mind. The memory put a warm, bright smile on her beautiful face.

"Fun, sexy, delightfully decadent history."

It took Gabby at least five more seconds to not quietly implode from how much more awkward she had just made that question with her staggered-out wording, and in that time, Alix had already launched part of an answer at her. Okay, maybe it wasn't such a terrible question if she had an answer locked and loaded. Gabby started listening, casually, before realizing that Alix was wording it like an out-and-out interview answer. A sudden scramble, and Gabby got her notebook open to start writing, jotting everything down on the page behind her premade questions. She had to stop assuming that any question directed at a porn star would be too personal; Alix was as self-confident as she looked.

She nodded along as Alix spoke, and like a good interviewer, kept up her eye contact even as she wrote. Right, note down her warning. Modeling. That reminded her of a certain someone... as far as she knew, Alicia had never done any fetish wrestling, but her sister did what she wanted. Sinthia Diamond. That name sounded familiar, but Gabby didn't have a full picture. And she, uh, made a side note for herself about "Captivity and Rapture." She was sure LAW didn't want names of exact adult films in the interview, but for Gabby...

That sounded...awesome, though, she noted mentally as she continued with her physical notes. A friend like that asking her to do a scene with her? And working her up with a description? Gabby had worked a few scenes into her smut where the couple would talk candidly about something they wanted to do together, and frankly, she found the idea of talking up sex before sex a little hot. By the time she had finished writing, she might have chewed and licked her lips a few times just thinking about how she wished that would happen to her.

But when Alix finished, she pulled herself back to reality and dropped her pencil, finishing a couple of seconds after the beauty did. Yeah, she had taken a few too many speedy notes in school as the family nerd. "That's..." She searched for how to word it. "...the stuff of fantasy to me. I don't think I've known anyone bold enough to tell me about a film they're doing, much less invite me to the next one."

...She should just go for any question that came to mind, shouldn't she? Maybe she didn't need those structured questions; Alix didn't seem too easy to offend. And God, she wanted to know more. "Is it...odd in front of a camera? The first times?"

Scratch that thought about Gabriella being new to this. She had no trouble keeping up with her. Didn't even have to look down at her notebook.

And that admission...

"The stuff of fantasy", you say?

Alix was definitely going to get back to that. But for now...

"It was..."

She crossed an arm underneath her bust and propped an elbow atop her wrist, bringing a thumb up to her chin and scratching her cheek with her index finger in a seemingly absent-minded manner. While she had genuinely needed a moment to find her next words, she also saw this as an opportunity to...Well, do her thing.

Her arms were close enough to squeeze her breasts together. Not so much that it was obscene, but it would be a fine sight for Gabriella if she wanted to look.

It only took her a few seconds to figure out how to describe her first experiences, but she kept up an act for a few seconds longer.

That last bit was a quick note that wasn't added for the potential readers' benefit alone.

"But for me, especially when I was doing that very first scene with Sinthia, it was...I was a little nervous, yeah, because I didn't wanna screw up the scene and make her look bad, but other than that, it was pretty exciting. She knew all the people there on the set. Vouched for them. So I knew I was safe. And plus, it was just the two of us in that scene.

You might've already guessed it, but our friendship had "benefits"."

She punctuated the revelation with a quotation gesture.

"And the chemistry was real. That succubus knew every button I had, and she was finding new ones that I wasn't even aware of all the time. Found another one that day too. And it was so good, I actually forgot we were filming."

She laughed at the memory.

"It was a great shoot. We were actually supposed to do a few things differently, but David -- that's the director' name, David -- told them to just keep it rolling. He liked it so much that he didn't even ask us to do another take. That one try ended up in the final product."

Alix was beaming with pride now.

"I was so happy! I worked so hard to make sure I'd get all the lines right and remember all my cues. I wanted to make for the best possible reflection I could on Sinthia, and I did it. If you were going to ask me what my favorite, proudest moment in porn is, that's it right there, easily.

They got around to doing a few sequels, and Sinthia and I were on for all of them. I shot scenes with some other actors too, and it was a lot of fun. I was more camera aware, but I used a few things I learned from my time in modeling to help out with that, so it wasn't bad, really."

Gabby did indeed want to look. Only the blind could have missed the wonders the outfit did for Alix's figure (or maybe vice versa), and the Latina's brown eyes cast down the length of her interviewee's cleavage while she took a sip of her lemonade and got ready to write. She did not linger, but she saw enough to be equal parts jealous and intrigued. That sight would...definitely return to her thoughts later.

Right, back to business though. The maestro continued her attentive note-taking, giving the beauty a snicker and mmm-hmm about the friends with benefits comments. Must have been nice. Gabby certainly felt like she came from a life where that stuff only happened to others or in movies. The same thing with finding new buttons to push. That part, though, threatened to get her hot under a collar she wasn't wearing. Everything she was hearing mimicked the same stuff she had written about over the years, where she thought it all sounded like hard-to-believe fantasy. Before her sat a woman, within arm's reach, who claimed it had all happened to her. Yes, she understood why given Alix's borderline-unreal looks, but geez. It was just...wild.

Like a good journalist, Gabby did get her head screwed on straight and thought about a connection she was seeing once she got over the rising heat, and she absent-mindedly flicked out her tongue as she made note for herself to follow up with the question. When Alix finished and she had dotted the last i, that was not the question she asked, though. That could come later. She kind of...honestly wanted to know more about this deal with Sinthia. "This might be too personal, but do you and Sinthia still...have a working relationship? Does that kind of thing go on for long in the porn industry?"

It sounded very tabloid, yes, but she was curious.

"Oh no, it's not too personal at all! Um, do we still hook up, you mean? In that case, no. We only did that when we were both single, and right now, she's going to be getting married next month. To another performer, actually. We're still besties, though.

It's actually pretty funny, because she swore up and down that she was never gonna get tied down to anybody unless there was rope involved, and after a while, I started to believe her. But Daniel went and made it happen. He's a heck of a guy. And we did a scene together before they started dating, so I can definitely think of at least a couple things that helped him out, if you catch my drift."

Alix gave Gabriella a conspiratorial grin.

"But knowing her, I can say without a doubt that there was still some rope involved."

And another giggle from her endless fountain.

"But in general, it's not all that different than it is with non-performers at the end of the day: It all depends on who you're getting together with."

This part Gabby didn't feel like she should take too many notes about (partially because it was her own curiosity), but she did note down Sinthia's marriage. And the rope thing. Mostly because that part made her shiver, and it might make some reader out there shiver too. That sounded like a fun way to go about a permanent relationship. Too bad everyone Gabby had ever known, even the ones she had been really into, hadn't really understood that some people had those particular desires. "I guess it really does," she said in a wistful sigh in response to Alix's last comment, not fully realizing she had said it aloud.

Properly feeling like a hopeless romantic for about the eightieth time in her life, Gabby figured she should go back to the other question before she got too worked up. She bumped her fingers against the table as she considered how to word it, throwing in a "This is great stuff so far" to boot to let Alix know she was nailing it. "You said some things about how it was to perform with a partner, know camera locations, things like that. Does those kinds of concepts transition to wrestling? And what aspect of wrestling got you interested?"

Oh, somebody sounds frustrated.

Of course, Alix wasn't exactly happy to get that subtle confirmation that Gabriella wasn't getting everything she wanted out of life -- or at least, that aspect of it -- but these little slips here and there were telling her that maybe, just maybe, if she played her cards right, she could do for her what that fool or those fools who had been with her in the past didn't when they had the chance.

This could also be her vagina guiding her towards something that wasn't there. It wouldn't be the first time. But she was the type of person who tended to err on the side of optimism. It had worked out for her more times than it hadn't.

Onto the next question.

"Um, more or less yes, but it's different in places. You see, with porn, it's a more closely orchestrated show. Everything is set to go a certain way from beginning to end, so everybody already knows what to expect. Everybody has cues to stick to.

And I might not be the best person to ask about this, really, because I'm much more of a sexfighter than I am a wrestler, and I don't wanna speak for those in that field. I just never got into that whole "dropkick and slam you on your head" business. Not that I'm knocking it, of course, but while I do like some rough play here and there, I don't like it that rough. I'm more of a "spank my ass red, pull my hair, and call me a dirty little bitch" kind of girl in that department."

She left that one hanging for a moment, looking to gauge Gabriella's reaction to it before she continued on.

"But I can definitely tell you about sexfighting, and maybe this extends to wrestling too: With sexfighting, it's more that you just have to trust that the camera crew is taking good shots for you, rather than you posing for the camera. Because it's more...chaotic. The people in the ring, or the bed, or the oil pit or wherever the competition is taking place aren't acting in accordance to a script. There's no set point in time where you're supposed to look into this camera here and do this, or do that for the one over there."

She gestured about with her hands to punctuate her last sentence.

"The leads are in there trying to win. Well, most of the time, they are. Me, I just like to make sure that the other person or persons have a good night. One that they won't forget. And if that means that I have to "lose"..."

She made a quotation gesture as she spoke the word.

"And I use that term very, very loosely because it's not really losing. I mean, the other person or persons are trying to make you cum, and who doesn't like cumming? Sure, some of the more competitive types might act like they don't, but let's be real. But anyway, if that means that I have to "lose", then I'll lose.

Getting back to your questions, though -- and I'm sorry for the detour -- in spite of what I said, though, it is still important that the competitors know how to put on a show. Because sexfighting is still a form of porn, in a way. Unless we're talking private sessions, which is another thing entirely, you still have an audience to entertain. So it's good to know where the cameras are, if they're there. You still wanna take those moments to pose when you can -- do a little dance, shake your ass a bit more than what would be efficient -- you know. Because that extra stuff is what keeps people coming back and draws new people in.

It's not the easiest thing in the world to do, which is why leagues don't tend to stress that on their fighters, but it's the mark of a true great when someone is able to do that. Like, even if they're not winning tournaments or championships, if somebody is able to endear themselves to the crowd, they can still be on top. They could be losing every single match they're in, but if the people love them...Well, that's what matters the most, really. I know that makes it sound like a popularity contest, but ultimately, it's still a business.

As for what got me into sexfighting...Well, it happened more by pure chance. I was attending a show at another league -- a rather lax one, I must say, because it's really rare for these things to be allowed -- but the champion at the time had just finished a bout in like a couple of minutes. It was a completely one-sided affair; the other girl didn't stand a chance. So Ms. Thing issues an open challenge. Invites anyone backstage or in the crowd -- and that's where the lax part comes in -- to come to the ring if they had the guts.

So nobody else went, and by that point, I'm a bit worked up; a little hot under the collar, you know? It was a good show. So I'm like, "what the hell, I'll step up to the plate."

And I "lost"."

Alix laughed at the memory.

"But ooh, was it fire! The crowd liked it, I liked it, and Serina admitted that she liked it too -- only in private because she was a prideful thing at the time -- and so did the owner. He came out after a point to watch the match, and after I had a few minutes to rest up backstage, he offers me a spot on the roster. I had a lot of fun, but I wasn't so sure about it at the time because I still had a couple commitments in porn. He tells me it's no biggie, that I can come back whenever I like and try out another match or two to see if I liked it. And I did come back after those projects were wrapped up, and I ended up liking sexfighting so much that I stuck with it.

The thing with that was that while it was still a show, there was a lot of spontaneity there. Not that there's anything wrong with plans and structure, but I do like surprises. And in this business, you never really know exactly what's gonna happen. Just that it's gonna be sexy."

That was probably enough getting enraptured and daydreaming. Gabby would enjoy plenty of fun adventures here, she was sure of it. Write down that good bit about the orchestration and the cues, note that about Alix having her interest squarely on sexfighting, and then she could-

Light up inside like a lamp at the mention of spanking and hair-pulling. The last part she could take or leave, but those two sounded really good to her. She should have more people do that in her stories. Again, she subtly scribbled something about that in the margins of her page just as she flipped it over to start a fresh one. Yeah, she would ruminate on that a good bit...

After a clear to her throat and a perhaps overly animated nod, she pressed onward. Pressed onward trying to hang on every word, but considering every word kept dragging her mind right into the gutter, the writer could not help but get involved in a little daydreaming time and time again. And the daydreaming led to some heavy lemonade drinking to cool down. Didn't exactly help, however, and by the time Alix had finished and Gabby caught up with the last couple of sentences on her notebook, there was entirely too much going on under her sundress for her to keep her head screwed on straight.

She opened her mouth to fumble for a comment, but fortunately, the arrival of their burgers bailed her out for a moment. The half-Latin beauty thanked the waiter and peered at the burger as if it held the secrets of the universe. No, her brain just held way too many things she wanted to ask and to know about and... As she fingered at the burger, she realized that she had to ask. "What's your usual...technique in that kind of match?" As soon as the words had left her mouth, Gabby hid her face behind the burger as she took a bite.

The chinks in the armor that Alix was looking for were finally starting to build up. A nod that was a little too enthusiastic, way too much lemonade drinking when she hadn't appeared to be that thirsty before, and she was looking at that burger like she hadn't seen one before.

And then Gabriella asked her that next question and hid her lovely face behind her food.

Aww, so precious!

On the outside, Alix was playing it cool. On the inside, however, she was rubbing her hands together and chuckling sinisterly like a movie villain who was about to enact their evil plan.

"I don't really have a signature technique. What I do is try to adapt to my opponent. If they're a dominant type, I "fight" from the bottom."

Another quotation gesture to go along with the word.

"If they're submissive, I try to figure out how much dominant energy they want and bring it out for them. I'm a switch, so it's a lot of fun for me either way. Speaking of which, with other switches...We all have our days, so I just try to figure out which side of the fence they're leaning on at the time.

But sometimes, I come across opponents who aren't that obvious right away. These tend to be those shy, innocent types, and I love, love, love getting it on with them. They are just so precious..."

An honest, but still pointed confession.

"...and it makes me wanna do bad things to them. "Corrupt" them. And if they happen to want to do those things to me instead, I'd let her. Sometimes, it ends up being a lovely mixture of both."

Another quotation to place on the word "corrupt", and although it had come off as a slip-up, Alix's use of the word "her" was entirely intentional. By now, she was certain that Gabriella wouldn't quite follow right away, but it doubled as a "set it up and knock it down" kind of thing. If the beautiful Latina...

...Was she a full Latina?

The talk of mixtures made the last name finally dawn on her. Soto. It wouldn't necessarily have to be the case, but the possibility of one was there. Alix made a note to ask her sometime.

But anyway, if the beautiful, possibly mixed Latina were to point out that she'd used the word "her" instead of "them" and ask her about it, she'd take it from there.

But for now...

"But I've gotten a bit ahead of myself there. I'm sorry. Those are my favorite ones to face, and it just gets me all..."

Unable to find the words, she instead communicated her meaning through some quivering combined with an adorable squeal, followed by more giggling.

"...You know? But anyway, once my opponents are comfortable, or comfortable enough; since it's still a fight -- but I like to move it away from that in favor of the sex if I can -- what I do is start looking for their less pronounced weaknesses. Favorite parts of the body and positions and what have you.

Sometimes I can talk it out of them. Other times, it's through getting physical. Whether it's kissing -- ooh, I love people who love kissing -- or wandering hands, rubbing, whether it's parts of myself on them or theirs on me...I pay attention, and I make my moves in accordance.

And speaking of paying attention, my favorite positions -- and I suppose you could call those my signatures -- are the ones that let me look my opponent in the eye. Lets me watch as they get closer and closer to the edge. Or watch her go over the edge and lose themselves entirely."

Another "slip-up" that wasn't. Alix hoped that it wouldn't escape Gabriella's notice.

"That intimacy is just...magical. More so than I can put into words."

Once she was finished, she finally took a bite out of the burger sitting in front of her.

Gabby began to wonder if there was an actual possibility that a girl could melt from ignoring the heat building inside. Turning to working through with her burger in one hand and her pen in the other, Gabby listened, still mostly hiding, brown eyes merely peeping over the top of her bun occasionally. At this point, though, she was already full-swing into thinking about how nice it would be to end up peeping over a different set of buns at the moment. As the thought crept into her mind, just as Alix was saying she liked to...corrupt innocent wrestlers, the Latina squinted her eyes shut in private embarrassment.

Was this what it was like to have one's head spinning? Because Gabby felt like her head was spinning.

And by the time Alix had finished her latest explanation, Gabby, who realized that she would probably say the stupidest things and thus avoided opening her mouth even if she had a few things she badly wanted to comment on, had melted like the Wicked Witch a bit more deeply into her side of the booth. Realizing this, and bumping a calf with Alix, she quickly slid up, trying to save face. "Sorry, sorry." What was her excuse? She chose, in a pinch, possibly the worst one. "This is just really juicy and had me distracted."

...Explain, girl, she told herself. "The...burger." Shit.

Averting Alix's raven gaze, the Californian scrambled to catch those last few sentences she had uttered, but a part of her wondered if the cat wasn't out of the bag now. She could almost feel the flush rising through her chest, up her neck, and across her face to a point that no single burger could hide it. Maybe she could play it cool. Yeah. The porn star definitely wouldn't notice turning into a puddle at one damn mention of kissing and rubbing and all those other wonderful things. "You make it sound very intimate. You're great with words," she "calmly" complimented.

Maybe she just needed a second to cool down. Yeah. "I'll let you finish your burger before we keep rolling!", she said, inclining her head toward it. "You're giving me excellent stuff. I really appreciate it."
