Yukino could hardly believe her luck. Acting at just the right time, she'd managed to counter Ruby's attempt at what would surely be a match-ending move, bringing her down hard on her head in the process! Now the brunette had been all but knocked senseless as she lay crumpled against the mat, and that meant it was Yukino's chance to strike. As she fell on top of her for the pin, pulling her leg back, her heart was pounding in her chest, and she could feel the sweat running down the back of her neck as she trembled with anticipation. It almost seemed too good to be true, but she would take it! She was closer to victory than ever before!
With every count the referee made, Yukino began to quiver all the more with excitement, knowing it brought her one step closer to winning the match. When she heard the start of a three, her jaw had already dropped in shock. But she would be shocked for another reason - right then, at the last minute, Ruby kicked out of the pin and rolled aside!
"NO-!!" With the weight of Ruby's body moving out from under her, Yukino fell to her hands and knees. She could only watch as her opponent slipped just out of reach. But her eyes soon narrowed in a furious glare. Yukino wouldn't let Ruby get away with this! She'd already come this close to winning; she couldn't let Ruby take that away from her so soon!
Roaring out a battle cry, Yukino sprung toward Ruby, looking to tackle her back down and rain punches down into her face! She would waste no time before she had thrown herself back into the action. She couldn't let her victory be denied!

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
The audience was going crazy over the near fall. Some people thought Ruby was lucky to kick out, others thought Ruby still had gas in the tank. Everyone though, was happy that this match wasn’t over. Ruby kicking out was just the easy part, it wasn’t like she was suddenly healed and full of energy. Ruby still needed some time, any time to get her bearings back. After what Yukino put Ruby through, she fully expected to win the match. So it makes sense that the idol wrestler was going to get frustrated and even angry.
Yukino rushed in trying to take Ruby down. Rush her before Ruby could get better. Ruby who was still on the ropes couldn’t get out of the way. So Ruby would just have to bear with it, but she could do more than that. Just when Yukino came in for the tackle, Ruby would trip Yukino just before making contact. Trapping Yukino’s leg and contorting it, finishing the hold Ruby jumped on Yukino for a headlock. This would be the first time Ruby would be using a move like this. Hopefully this crass and all of the sudden submission would have Yukino tapping for this match to end!![Image](https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/288621b3-7a8f-4a24-a53e-6d5200c47055/dcwgitp-e279d5bc-1241-46bb-9a44-23b6d76e3b61.png/v1/fill/w_1063,h_752,q_70,strp/laura_matsuda_story_outfit_vs_chun_li_alpha_pg3_by_van_brand_artworks_dcwgitp-pre.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9MTQxNCIsInBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcLzI4ODYyMWIzLTdhOGYtNGEyNC1hNTNlLTZkNTIwMGM0NzA1NVwvZGN3Z2l0cC1lMjc5ZDViYy0xMjQxLTQ2YmItOWE0NC0yM2I2ZDc2ZTNiNjEucG5nIiwid2lkdGgiOiI8PTIwMDAifV1dLCJhdWQiOlsidXJuOnNlcnZpY2U6aW1hZ2Uub3BlcmF0aW9ucyJdfQ.2Ab7GbnTVMQGqZVlKYu8V0PSq3-lXS-dGdeNH_dF3k4)

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
Yukino was growing desperate. Ruby's seemingly endless font of energy had proven to be a bothersome thorn in her side, and never was that more apparent than right now - just when it seemed like she was about to claim victory, Ruby had snatched that away from her at the last moment with her sudden kickout! As the white-haired girl rolled over to see her opponent scrambling away, her teeth clenched, and her muscles began to firm up as she punched the mat in frustration. It couldn't be this way. She'd worked too hard, and come too close. She wouldn't let Ruby take that from her!
However, caught up in the heat of the moment, it didn't even dawn on Yukino that she was making a mistake. When she set her single-minded goal on punishing Ruby for denying her a win, she had neglected to keep anything else in mind. She charged straight toward the brunette with blind aggression, leaping straight from her seated position - and as such, she didn't expect Ruby to sweep her leg at the last second!
It was only a slight push in the right direction, but it was enough to throw Yukino off course. Her balance was disrupted! Suddenly feeling herself plummeting toward the mat, away from Ruby, her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped in a gasp. She barely had any time to prepare herself before she fell to the mat, landing with a thud that caused her to hiss and wince from the landing. And while she was left stunned, Ruby had her opportunity. She grabbed Yukino by the leg, twisting it back - that was enough to make the Winter Idol yelp from the pain. But the worst was yet to come - as Ruby leaned over her back to grab her by the head, and wrenched her back into an arc!
Yukino's face was contorted in pain as she threw back her head, and a tormented wail was ripped from her lungs. It felt as though all of her opponent's weight was sinking down into her back, and her spine was the fulcrum in the middle of it all, straining against the force. Each time she twisted and turned, another surge of pain shot down her legs and her back. And even when she tried to cry out, her voice was hoarse and muffled, the edges of her vision growing dark and blurred as Ruby pulled tighter at her throat.
Her eyes rolled back into her head, and her jaw lolled open in a daze. Yukino tried to buck her hips and back up and down, hoping she could summon enough momentum to shake Ruby off, but those hopes were quickly squashed when she felt another searing pain break through her body as she put even more force on her already strained spine. Yukino sucked in a breath, feeling the sweat trickle down her brow. Nothing she was doing was working, and a sinking feeling dropped in the pit of her stomach the more she realized she was out of options. She really didn't want to do this, but now, it seemed like she had no choice. Sucking in her pride, at last, Yukino reached out to tap her hand against the mat, signaling her submission!

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
Ruby knew and felt that Yukino would be rushing her. That’d be the smart thing to do after all, Ruby’s own style is all about rushing the opponent. What Ruby didn’t account for was Yukino’s desperation. In hindsight its something that helped Ruby more than Yukino. The desperation made Yukino tunnel vision, not thinking about what Ruby could do. Instead only thinking about her next move. Just a moment of clarity in Yukino’s mind and this could’ve been a different situation.
Speed being Ruby’s best attribute, when she counters it leaves little to no time to react. Such is something Yukino would be feeling when Ruby sweeped her. Unlike Yukino who rushed in with barely a plan, Ruby knew what she was going to do off of this chance. Doing her best to latch onto Yukino. Making damn sure to make this a clean submission.
Trapping Yukino’s leg with her own is a good enough submission hold to do some damage. Ruby was looking for the big one. Grabbing onto Yukino’s head to finish off the submission and pull the Winter Idol back! Ruby knew the hold was working when Yukino let out that pained scream. Despite feeling kinda bad about this rough hold, Ruby was not going to let go. Instead Ruby was going to double down and pull even more on Yukino’s throat. Contorting Yukino’s body in such a way that could’ve left lasting damage.
(Come on…Come on…Just end it already) Ruby thought to herself as her conscious was telling her to let go for Yukino’s sake. Still Yukino tried to fight back and buck Ruby off. Ruby wasn’t having any of that and kept her weight centered on Yukino, making it extra hard to buck her off. That’s when Ruby saw Yukino’s hand, Ruby fully expected for Yukino to try and swing or claw her way out of this. Instead it was Yukino tapping her hand against the mat furiously. This signaled the end of the match and the referee ordered the match to end.
Ruby after being ordered to let go of Yukino, did just that. Releasing her opponent from the hold and almost kicking off and away from her body. Ruby laid on her back for a moment as she took some deep breaths. She won, she won the match. It was WAY harder than she thought but that was just a testament to Yukino’s skill.
Getting herself up, Ruby allowed the referee to take her arm and raise it in victory. The crowd cheered for Ruby graciously as it was a great win. Ruby smiled at the fans and thanked them for their support. Still something didn’t feel right. Looking down at Yukino, Ruby would take a few steps towards her. Offering a hand to Yukino, Ruby wanted to raise Yukino up so that she could get a standing ovation. After all she did show out for their match. No reason why you don’t deserve some cheering Ruby said with a kind and soft smile.

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
Yukino was desperate. She could hardly hold herself back as she came thundering toward Ruby at top speeds, throwing her entire weight into taking her down. She had worked too hard to stand up to her opponent, and to stay on top of the match, for everything to be taken away from her so soon - she had to win, just to set things right! But the white-haired girl had made an error in her judgment. She was so desperate to take back the success she thought she was owed that she had let down her guard, throwing herself into the line of danger. And from there, it wouldn't take much for Ruby to flip things around on her - grabbing Yukino and trapping her in a submission!
The Winter Idol hissed, her whole body tensing up against the pain as she felt her leg and head yanked back in different directions, twisting her spine into a painful arc. Desperate to get away just to save herself, she threw herself back and forth in a frantic bid for freedom - but she only realized too late that she was setting herself up for trouble. Every inch she moved in Ruby's grasp just put even more pressure on her spine, her leg, and her joints, causing her to wince and squeal as she felt the pop of her vertebrae. The color drained from Yukino's face as she grew all the more aware of the painful reality that she just couldn't escape from this hold, and every attempt she made was just hurting her all the more. She had come this far, and fought so hard in the name of standing up to Ruby, in proving her worth...but in the end, it just wasn't enough.
Yukino tapped out on the mat, and the bell rang. The brunette let go of her, rolling aside to stand by the ref in celebrating her victory. But all Yukino could do was roll over onto her hands and knees. She shuddered as she lifted herself up, rubbing at her still-sore back when the motion sent an ache running down her spine. But as it dawned on her that, yes, she had lost, she bowed her head lower with a sigh. If she had tried so hard, and she had still made such glaring mistakes that cost her the match in the end...what did that say for her future? Was this truly the best she was capable of? Was she really cut out for wrestling?
Then, though, Yukino looked over as Ruby came near. She raised an eyebrow in confusion as her opponent lifted her arm, guiding her back up to a wobbly and unsteady footing. And then, she looked out to the crowd all around her, bursting into cheers and applause - and her jaw dropped. Was this all...for her? Even when she had lost? Surely they could see that if her best efforts still fell short, she wasn't worthy of this praise!
She looked back toward Ruby, her eyes wide and glassy in shock. For a moment, she stood with her mouth agape, trying to find the right words but coming up with nothing each time. She couldn't even understand why it was her opponent who felt the need to do this for her; she expected Ruby to rub it in her face, if anything. At last, she shook her head. "I...I don't understand," she said. "I...lost." As she admitted it, her head turned down toward the mat in dejection. "I don't deserve...any of this..."

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
Nashi had been watching the match through and through. She was on the edge of her seat hoping against hope Yukino could pull out a surprise victory. The idol thought for a second when it came time for the roll up, it would be a victory for the winter idol. Unfortunately Ruby came out on top with a submission hold that made her tap out.
Nashi was a little bit down but knew that her friend fought through in the end. When Yukino asked her opponent why, Nashi crawled under the rope and got into the ring”Yukino! You did great, you almost had her and you managed to look good even if you lost” She said warmly wanting to cheer her best friend up as she clapped her hands together. Soon the crowd themselves would join in for the winter idol.

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
Ruby was hardly the most charitable soul. With her mind constantly going a million miles a second. Ruby tends to miss out on the smaller things in life. Thankfully Ruby was able to turn this match on its head and make it possible for her to win. Win by submission no less, while not her style. Ruby couldn’t deny that making someone tap out had its own appeal. Despite even the closest of calls, Ruby was confident in her ability to win this match. Yukino didn’t make it any easier for Ruby though. The Winter idol was dead set on winning this match and Ruby knew that.
Ruby felt that in her sore body. Though that just showed Yukino’s dedication to the match. Sure even with her victory, Ruby was going to make sure she was basking in all of the cheers and applause. That being said anyone else would go over to Yukino and rub it in her face that she lost. Hell maybe even beat her up. Weiss is stuck up enough to do that. Nora being crazy enough to do that. Ruby wasn’t like that though. Yukino came out here, despite all the negative things people were probably saying about the idol. Still, she showed up in the ring and showed out.
Offering a hand out, Yukino took it and Ruby helped her up. Despite on shaky footing, Ruby helped Yukino stay on her two feet. Yukino received a standing ovation for her performance. Ruby was more than willing to share the applause with Yukino. She deserved it. While everyone thought Yukino was getting what she deserved. The only person who didn’t think so, was Yukino herself. Turning her head down and almost rejecting her cheers. Don’t deserve it? Sure you lost, but do you think you got an F grade for that match? Ruby said as she went over to pick up Yukino’s head with her hand. Raising it up slowly Hey, you came out here, despite everything people say about you. Beat the crap out of me and nearly won! Yukino hear it from me You did great. Ruby finished with a kind smile. Though now it seemed like it was Yukino’s time. Hey I’m more than up for doing this again. Maybe even talking again, without beating each other senseless Ruby finished with a laugh as she left the ring and let Yukino have the final word with her fans.

Re: Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose
For Yukino, losing this match had been a disappointment. Surely, this meant everything she was afraid of. Maybe she really was hopeless. Maybe she didn't have a future. She'd never be able to be as good as Nashi. If she had tried her hardest and still come up short, if she had made mistakes that any serious wrestler would know better than to even consider, what did that say for her future? She had almost had Ruby, up until the last minute, and she had blown everything by losing her cool and letting the brunette overtake her. She let out a sigh, hugging her arms a little closer to her sides as she glanced down. If this was what trying got her, then what was the point in trying?
Then, though, she heard it. The crowd was still cheering for her - chanting her name, even, even if she had lost! When Yukino first heard it, she thought she was dreaming. But as she blinked a few times and looked around to remind herself of her surroundings, it became all too apparent that what she was hearing was very real. Her eyes went wide in shock, and her hand was held to her mouth. And Nashi was right there with them - if anything, now that she had entered the ring, she was leading the cheers into something even louder and prouder!
"N-Nashi..? Hey, I don't deserve any of this, I lost-!" Yukino began to protest, but it wouldn't slow anyone down. Nor would it slow Ruby down - and she was next to offer her support, stepping up to Yukino to tell it to her herself. At that, she gasped in surprise. In the back of her mind, Yukino still wanted to believe that all the praise being heaped upon her was undeserved - that it was being wasted on a loser like her. But the more she saw everyone joining in in congratulating her - the fans, her best friend, and even her opponent - that grew harder and harder to believe. As Yukino quickly realized, this many people couldn't be wrong. She really had done something special - even if she'd lost, she had risen to the challenge, and she had done her best! She might have narrowly lost, but she had narrowly lost. If she'd come that close to victory, there was no question about it - she had cemented herself worthy of their praise!
Clearing her throat, the white-haired girl stood a little taller, and a grin crossed her face. "Heh...I'm sorry, everyone," she called out to the crowd, "I don't know what I was thinking! Make no mistake, this isn't the last you'll see of me, or the Idol Dragons! I might have lost, but I've still got it. You all saw how close I came to winning it all...and next time, I'm only going to come back stronger than ever!"
After Yukino had said her piece, the fans chimed in with even louder cheers. The Winter Idol blushed; she was hardly prepared for such a warm reception after a loss. But she would take it, all the same. She extended a hand toward Nashi, offering to take her by the arm as the two of them left the ring. And, as though she hadn't let anything get her down to begin with, she flashed a grin back in her partner's direction. "Ready, Nashi?"
