I'm Just Saiyan: "The Progidy" Gohan (D) vs. "The Lion of Valencia" Arturo Hernandez

Arturo Hernandez De León waited in the back for his cue. He went through his stretches (again) to occupy the time. Arturo had debuted in LAW not too long ago. He'd wrestled a few matches and his record was decidedly mixed. The Spaniard prepared to face a new opponent, and this time, Arturo was not the rookie. His opponent, named Gohan, was wrestling his first match. Arturo saw this as perfect opportunity to build some momentum for himself. The tech gave him the signal and his music hit.

Arturo came out with his red matador cape and backup dancers to the song of Italian freedom fighters. He strode down to the ring to a mixed reception from the crowd and blew a kiss to some ladies in the audience. He jumped up onto the apron and entered the ring, raising his arms to soak in the crowd. Arturo then shed his cape and turned to face the entrance ramp.

Gohan was thrilled for this match and why wouldn't he be? This is his debut match in LAW. After he was approached by a LAW agent three months ago at the training center, he had been preparing for his in-ring debut non-stop. For his debut match, he was told he was going to be facing the "Lion of Valencia". A fierce title, indeed, but it didn't worry Gohan all that much since he's taken down many beasts before, both literally and figuratively, so a lion is just another beast to conquer in his eyes.

From the monitors they had backstage, Gohan was watching his opponent as he made his way into the ring. Shortly after Arturo faced the entrance ramp, a crew member gave Gohan his signal that it was his turn to head into the squared circle.

He runs towards the ramp, but before he actually steps out. He stops and takes a deep breathe, to try and keep his cool. After he collected himself, he confidently walks to the ramp entrance. His entrance music began to play and he made his way to the ring.

Gohan confidently makes his way down the ramp, he's never had to play to a crowd's reaction before so he's not quite sure what to do. He raises a fist in the air every now and then as he walks garnering a few cheers here and there. As he gets to the ring, he takes the steel steps up, walks about halfway down the apron, and ducks between the top and middle rope. He walks to the center of the ring, takes a respectful bow, then raises a fist one last time for the crowd. He then turns to Arturo and bows respectfully, before heading to the corner opposite of his opponent's waiting for the bell to ring.

Arturo approached Gohan as the announcer made the introductions and the two men faced off. "You ready to get your shit rocked?"
Arturo did offer a sportsmanlike fist bump, though, but his tone was serious and he made it clear he meant business. The two men then proceeded to circle the ring. Arturo attempted to dance around his opponent and entice Gohan into charging him.

Gohan smirked after hearing his opponent's declaration of war. He thought, "I don't think YOU'RE ready to get rocked!"

Still, he accepted his opponent's offer for a fist bump as a sign of respect. As the bell rang, they both circled each other. Gohan watched Arturo dance around him, wondering if he was baiting him.

"Fuck it," he thought. "If he's baiting me, I can just try to catch him off guard." Gohan charged low at Arturo aiming for the man's hips. If he suceeds, he would pick Arturo up by the hips and charge straight to the corner where he'll try to go for some body blows to show his opponent that he's not to be underestimated.

Arturo expected the rookie to charge him. He did not expect Gohan to be as fast as he was. Gohan surged forward, came in low, and wrapped his arms around Arturo’s hips. Arturo suddenly found himself slammed into the corner with a thud. The Spaniard then grunted in pain as Gohan unleashed a flurry of blows to his stomach and torso. When Gohan was finished, Arturo was slumped against the corner, momentarily stunned.

As Gohan rushed forward, he saw a glimpse of his opponent's face and he could tell Arturo did not expect this. Gohan slammed Arturo in the corner with enough force to make him arch his back and grunt in pain. Gohan quickly takes the opportunity to deliver several blows to his opponent's exposed torso and abdomen. As Gohan finishes, he can see that his opponent is slumped against the corner, possibly trying to hold himself up as he recovers.

However, Gohan wasn't gonna let him rest. Not yet. Gohan grabs Arturo's right wrist and the back of his head with his right and left hand, respectively, and drags the stunned athlete to the center of the ring. Gohan then clutches Arturo's head in between his left arm, and place's Arturo's arm behind his head. Gohan grabs onto Arturo's tights and lifts him up for a Vertical Stalling Suplex.

As Gohan lifts Arturo over his head, cheers can be heard across the arena. Gohan, with Arturo still lifted, bended his knees to perform a squat, showing off his strength.

One...

Two...

Three...

The crowd counted along as Gohan squated Arturo, cheering louder each time Gohan bends down with his opponent on his shoulder.

After the third squat, Gohan has had enough and followed through with the suplex, slamming his opponent down on the mat.

Gohan knew that it would be too soon to go for a pin, nor did he want the match to end this early so instead, Gohan gets up and stands beside his opponent. Looking down at Arturo almost smirking, Gohan offers a hand, "Does that answer your question?"

Arturo suddenly found himself hoisted upside down. The Spaniard went dizzy from the blood rushing to his head as Gohan used him as an overhead weight for his squats. A dazed Arturo was brought back into focus by the pain of being slammed down onto the mat. Gohan's slam was well executed and Arturo arched his back in pain. Fortunately for him, Gohan did not continue the attack. Arturo recovered while Gohan taunted him. Arturo opened his mouth but, instead of replying, Arturo suddenly sprung to his feet. He grabbed Gohan's Gi and yanked his opponent towards him. Arturo then drove his knee into Gohan's gut and attempted to follow up with a hip toss. If successful, he would mount Gohan and deliver a ground and pound flurry to his opponent.

Gohan saw Arturo's mouth opened. He focused, expecting a snarky reply from the Spaniard. Instead, he saw his opponent leap up to his feet and before he could register what was happening, felt a sharp knee into his stomach.

Gohan's right eye closed a bit as he felt the sting surge through his core. "Tchhh...", he muttered.

Gohan wasn't stupid, he knew there was a chance that this would happen, but he took it anyways, he wanted to see what Arturo can do. Now he's on the ground, following an agile hip toss from Arturo. Gohan lied on his back, vulnerable, as Arturo did not hesitate to position himself on top of Gohan and go for a barrage of punches. Gohan still processing how quickly the situation turned around on him could only raise his arms in an attempt to block some of the incoming shots.

Arturo enjoyed the initial surprise of his sudden assault, but Gohan managed to get his arms up to block the worst of the onslaught. Not wanting to lose his momentum, Arturo stood up, jumped in the air, and came down on Gohan's chest with an elbow drop. He then covered him and hooked the leg for the quick pinfall. The ref counted.

ONE!

Gohan's face and arms stung as Arturo refused to let up his punches, but he knew that this was the only way that Arturo won't do as much damage to him this early on in the match.

Gohan was finally able to catch his breath when the weight of his opponent was lifted from his stomach. Gohan lowered his arms only to see Arturo in the air with his elbow locked and loaded, ready to drop.

Before he could react, SLLLLAAMMM, Arturo's elbow landed across his chest and air was quickly escaping his body. Arturo remained on top of him and he felt his leg was hooked... Arturo was going for a pin!

Gohan was down, but not out. He knew that if he let the referee count, that's at least two seconds for him to catch his breath. So he did just that.

ONE!

He heard as the crowd counted along.

TWOOOOooooo!

The crowd's counting quickly became "oooo's" as Gohan throw his right arm and shoulder up to break the count.

Gohan laid at his side, hoping to catch a few more breaths before the match continues.
