The Phoenix and the Punk Princess: Aurora Gonzalez (D) vs. Katsumi Oshiro

Aurora finally felt like she’d gotten her stride. La Fénix was flowing through the air where she felt like she belonged and came down on Katsumi with a perfect lionsault. Being very well versed in all kinds of Moonsaults, Aurora stuck the landing and managed to not bounce off Katsumi. She repositioned and covered Katsumi chest-to-chest, her heart racing. Hooking her leg for the pin, the ref began to count.

With the pressure lifting off her stomach, Katsumi could at least breathe a little easier. Not that it was much comfort after the impact she'd taken. Soon enough, the weight of Aurora's chest presses down against hers, and she finds her leg hooked into the air in a classic lateral press pin.

The referee wasted no time in getting the count started. Katsumi could hear each number, but more than that, she could feel them, as the ring reverberates with each slap on the mat.

After the second count, the Punk Princess bucks her hips and kicks out of the pin! She turns over onto her side with a soft groan, eyes opening to stare blankly ahead.

Aurora grunted in frustration when Katsumi kicked out. Seeing her foe turned over onto her side dazed, Aurora knew she needed to press her advantage. However, La Fénix was out of breath from her offense. Needing to keep the pressure on her opponent but also catch her breath, Aurora wrapped her right arm around Katsumi’s throat. Aurora pulled Katsumi’s back against her chest and attempted to interlock her arms and put her in a sleeper hold. ”Here’s a taste of your own medicine!” she whispered.

"Ulk!"

Katsumi would've preferred being able to take a moment and breathe. Instead, she finds herself pulled by the swan-like neck, tucked back against the cushion of her chest. Her hands immediately grab at the offending arm executing the blood choke. "Nnh-!," she whimpers, an uncharacteristically vulnerable sound.

Of all the things Katsumi has improved with that extra training, one thing simply can't be shaken. She remains deathly afraid of being knocked out. Her legs begin thrashing, her fingers scrambling for better purchase on the arm, eyes wide and panicked. The referee hovers close, watching for that knockout...

She knows how to escape this hold. She's been trained to escape the hold. But all that training has gone out the window as the hold sinks in. "N-no..!," she squeaks, her voice small as she strains. "Please..!"

Aurora kept up her chokehold on Katsumi. She felt her opponent squirm against her chest and stomach. Aurora rested her chin against the side of Katsumi’s head and whispered, ”¡Vete a dormir!” While she was in full adrenaline fight mode and thus speaking Spanish, the message was surely loud and clear. Aurora kept squeezing despite Katsumi clawing at her arm in a panic. Aurora felt Katsumi approaching the point of no return. She kept squeezing and looked forward to sending her opponent to dreamland.

Slacking wasn't something Katsumi was going to do; there was too much at stake, and holds of this nature had a very particular impact on the girl's psyche. A fight or flight instinct overwhelming her training, even the more recent intensive work. No, at times like these, Katsumi would either plead or become practically feral. And since pleading was met only with a language she didn't understand and heightened squeezing, feral is what Aurora would encounter.

Thanks to the placement of her chin, Katsumi knew exactly where her head was. She lashed back, fingers angled like claws to first grab at her flesh. But she didnt want lips, nose, or cheeks. What she found rapidly lead her to triangulate the position of the other woman's eyes. And she rakes them with those nails. Not an attempted gouge, but certainly enough to convince a person they may need to abandon a hold to prevent damage!

Naturally, the referee is not a fan. "Watch the eyes!"

Aurora thought she had the match won. But suddenly, she saw a blur and then cried out in pain as Katsumi raked her fingers across her eyes. It didn’t hurt too much, but the shock of her eyes being targeted did the trick. ”¡Que puta!” Aurora let go of her chokehold. The Latina instinctively rolled away from Katsumi and grabbed the ropes to pull herself to her feet. Aurora shook her head and recovered from the eye rake. She would then zero in on Katsumi and attempt to nail her with a superkick.

Katsumi takes a second to pitch forward onto hands and knees, her head swimming from the vascular choke she'd only just escaped. The referee's chastising means so little to her compared to the terror of being rendered unconscious. Especially around someone who seems to clearly dislike her!

She tucks a knee in, bracing her boot against the mat to lift to her full height again. And as soon as she turns around, she sees Aurora's leg chambered. It's nothing shy of that intensive, more recent training that spurs her initiative to react in time to not eat a faceful of boot-sole. She dips and twists, immediately positioning herself behind Aurora's back. Her arms wrap around the Latina's stomach from behind, her hands grabbing onto opposite sides and immediately hugging her back against herself. Hips press tight against her backside, breasts mashed in behind her shoulders, stomach pressed against her back.

Digging deep and squeezing on her abdominal tone for a secure hold, Katsumi's knees bend and she pumps, lurching back to sling her opponent up and over to impact the back of her head and shoulders against the mat in a German suplex! But upon impact, she releases the woman's stomach to let her flop.

Aurora’s heart sank when her superkick missed Katsumi. She let out a squeak of rage as her opponent ducked under, got behind her, and wrapped her up in a waistlock. Aurora struggled against Katsumi, the two women once again locked in an intimate embrace. She felt Katsumi’s abs grind against her back and then suddenly she was lifted up. Aurora found herself being flung over Katsumi’s shoulder and brought down on the mat. The Latina let out a cry of pain and did a bouncing roll away after the impact.

Katsumi thumps to her back after the throw, but in a much more controlled manner, avoiding harming herself. Twisting over onto all fours, she watches Aurora come to settle in the ring, heaped from her handiwork. With a wry smile, she lifts to her full height, approaching the Latina.

"Aaalmost got me there!," she teases, choosing to absolutely ignore the panic she'd been feeling just moments ago in that sleeper. She can't afford to let that keep her bound up! Panic is an unproductive emotion - fear can be productive, anxiety can even be productive, but panic is purely self-destructive and paralyzing. And in the world of wrestling, there's no chance she can keep out of arms' reach with her spicy opponent. She has to fight through it and force it out of her mind.

Leaning down, she hooks her hands beneath Aurora's jaw to guide the woman up to her boots again, and hooks her arm backwards around the Latina's waist. Her other arm scoops in behind her leg, both pulling to raise the girl into a cradled position against her body. She turns a slow circle to show her off to the roaring crowd, enjoying the moment of control over her, before dropping to a knee and crashing her lower back over the upturned knee in a classic backbreaker! After which, she gives the woman's stomach a quick, taunting pat before shoving her off the knee.
