Lauren F./Kat H./Tara K. - Working Some Progress

"You know, I think that's the nicest, most honest thing I've ever heard you say." Kat would say with a warm smile while placing a hand on her friend Tara's shoulder. She'd then turn to Lauren and ask her a question to keep the conversation going.

"So, with that in mind, what's success mean to you, Lauren? You, personally."

Lauren shifted her feet anxiously. "Well, I'm just want to be something other than a screw up or mediocre wrestler who tries real hard but never succeeds. I guess that sums it up for me?" Lauren said with a shrug. "I was never much of a standout before in anything to be honest."

Sensing Lauren fall back on her insecurities again, Kat would chuckle nervously before looking at the blonde and smiling. She'd try and offer her perspective on Lauren's current standing while still being encouraging. "You know, some people will tell you that if you try real hard, you'll always succeed....I like to be optimistic, but I think that advice is a little out of place in wrestling. The journey is its own reward when it comes to things like traveling and art."

She'd then get up and offer Fredericks a hand to help her up off the bench, too. "But I don't think it's too far off. My version of it is 'if you try real hard, you'll eventually succeed'. You just have to be willing to put in the work, heart and dedication. So why not put in that level of work with myself and the red head, here?"

If Lauren took her hand, Kat would pull her up to her feet and motion towards the practice bags and rings in the gym. Kat would begin walking towards them with the intention of resuming training.

"Welcome to Work In Progress, Lauren."

Lauren smiled, feeling reassured that she was at the very least around two women who were willing to help her improve. Most importantly they were willing to let Lauren be herself and not belittle her for not being some picture perfect woman or wrestler. That was bigger than any victory she had yet in the ring... and she did pull off maybe the most unlikely upset in LAW against the powerful, gigantic, talented Michelle.

Lauren shook Kats hand and smiled at Tara. "Thanks guys! I really appreciate it and if I can ever help you guys the way you are helping me I will do whatever I can!" Lauren said, sounding more like an eager teenager than a big lady in her mid 30s speaking.
