Alignment: Pompous Popinjay – A dapper gentleman hailing from a royal prestigious academy with a pretentious and snobbish aura about him that reflects just that. Aboundingly conceited with a penchant for making enemies within seconds of meeting those of a lower class, and fanciful to a fault as he relishes in basking in the finer aspects of life. A shame than that the simultaneous combination of both his profound sense of superiority and remarkable incompetency in turn becomes Gilbert greatest weakness as he continues to greatly underestimate his opponents.

Strategy and Style – Trained by the finest in grappling tutelage that money could afford, and yet still somehow capable of perpetuating boneheaded mistakes thanks in large part to his own hubris. A competent striker, grappler and submissionist whenever he’s not getting in his own way and sabotaging himself. Prone to fumbling the ball at the finish line and faceplanting in the middle of the ring, which is still the more preferable outcome of becoming outright decimated and steamrolled over by other more competent wrestlers. A pampered upbringing ensuring a lackluster tolerance to pain and frequent pleas for mercy. But be careful his pitiful begging isn’t just a rouse to prepare a devious trick up his sleeve as Gilbert is obnoxiously effective whenever on the offensive.

2) Glamour Headlock - A thoroughly secured headlock that makes his adversaries become unnecessarily acquainted with the Foppish Nobleman’s bicep, underarm, and fragrant aroma of his perfume. Distracting and insufferable enough as it is without his snobbish prattling tacked on, and this is before he proceeds to ruthlessly grind his knuckles into his foe’s scalp until they beg and plead for his forgiveness. Neither of which being likely, but being noogied by him of all people is an embarrassing predicament regardless.

3) Pont Neuf - Named after one of the oldest standing bridges in Paris, and appropriately so once you witness its implementation. Firstly, by approaching a seated adversary from behind and stepping over them so their head is situated between his legs. Afterward collapsing down to lay himself on the palms of his hands with his foe immobilized in an Argentina Hangman Hold. Not so much painful as it is irritating and aggravating…and by extension a perfect maneuver for Gilbert.

Finishing Moves :
1) Bonne Nuit - Tempting though it might become to relentlessly chase down Gilbert with the express purpose of teaching the dandified nobleman a lesson in manners, any adversary following him scramble back into the ring could result in being abruptly situated between his thighs for a rope-assisted piledriver. Alongside the mortification of waking up learning you've actually been shamefully defeated by Gilbert, who can nail this finisher even within the ring after some quick repositioning.

2) Fools Bluff - Begging and pleading for his life against adversaries who far outclass him in a wrestling context will be a common fixture within Gilbert's matches. However, as will the scheming Frenchman's penchant for diabolical trickery as Gilbert will oftentimes accompany his pitiable groveling with a booted kick at his foe's knees to collapse them to the ground. Whereupon he'll snap on a unexpectedly adept guillotine choke alongside the shame of falling for his ruse.

3) Eiffel Tower - A finisher that Gilbert concocted after being repeatedly hassled for his sheer brazen cowardice on more than one occasion. Whenever Gilbert gains the advantage and has his adversary spreadeagled in the middle of the ring, the Frenchman will ascend the nearest turnbuckle although with his back to the canvas. Afterward bravely vaulting himself backward to come slamming down back first onto his opponent to knock the wind out of their sails and secure a valorous victory~...

Critical Finishing Moves:
1)French Revolution - Gilbert learning during his business management lessons to squeeze whatever capital you can out of every opportunity. As such whenever an adversary finds themselves hefted upside-down into a seemingly rudimentary scoop slam, his foe will instead find their cranium slotted betwixt his squeezing thighs. An unflattering familiarity with his swelled girth being the mortifying exclamation point before they wind up taking in the sights of the rooflights instead after enduring Gilbert's reverse pedigree.

Personality: Although the Foppish Frenchman may bleed royal blue, his conceited narcissism and inflated sense of superiority can dissipate once challenged to put his money where his mouth is. His hubristic pride certainly not preventing him from going to his knees and begging for clemency when he knows he’s in over his head, or resorting to cheating tactics in order to obtain victory. And even in this regard, his overabundance of self-confidence and overall incompetence can lead to him bungling up his own nefarious plans. His strive towards greatness can actually reveal more positive aspects of himself, such as being a diligent and dedicated hard worker. And even signs of valor by standing up for others, even though he’d be standing on trembling legs quivering in fear.

Past/History: The Stein-Baudelaire family name gained prestige and notoriety through two distinctly oppositional methods. One from being the owners of a successful trading company docked within a bustling French city bordering the Atlantic, specializing in historical artifacts alongside the usual commerce. The other reason for their substantial wealth stems from their renowned history in the sport of wrestling, dating back decades towards it’s first introduction in a civilized manner within Europe. An odd duality originating from when a grappling professional married into the family all those years ago. The Stein men and women therefore began gravitating towards one aspect of their family’s tradition as they grew into adulthood, either the business side with trading deliveries or committing to putting up one’s dukes and stepping within the squared circle. When the time came for Gilbert himself to claim one of these two presented destinies…

…he rightfully opted for the profession where he needn’t fear steel weaponry directed at his precious face. Gilbert enrolled himself within and eventually became an alumnus of an acclaimed academy with sterling grades, afterwards being a steward underneath the head warehouse manager within their company so that he could learn more about the family business. Unfortunately, that particular foreman proved to be a negative influence upon Gilbert, who became accustomed to cutting corners and achieving his goals through any means necessary thanks to this misguided mentorship. Profitability soared underneath this new maligned manager until he was eventually arrested due to gross negligence, with Gilbert slyly avoiding prosecution by the skin of his teeth. Although this brought substantial shame upon the family name, it paled in comparison to his Father’s less than stellar wrestling career.

Losses racking up one after another from his Father’s insistence on only grappling with the best in the industry. Believing himself to be on their level or higher no matter how often he was proven mistaken via submission or being kayoed for the evening. Eventually the French Wrestling Commission and persistent injuries convinced his Father to retire from the sport before having the chance to redeem his family’s honor. Especially against adversaries whom he personally bared a deep-seated grudge against. Witnessing all of this from the sidelines, Gilbert wondered if he had perhaps chosen poorly when deciding between professions. Surely he could achieve glorious success in this field as opposed to almost being arrested within the other. Perhaps his remarkable intellect and sculpted physique was best utilized formulating wrestling strategies and besting uncouth foes within the ring. His ecstatic Father showered the glamour boy with praise and immediately set to training him in the Stein family wrestling style. Strenuous drills and utterly exhausting exercise regiments almost had the dandy keel over, until he managed to scarcely pull through and set his sights on wrestling internationally~…and hopefully not do any more damage to the family name.

2) Gilbert fancies himself a romantic lover of poetry and refined wine connoisseur~…except if you probe him too thoroughly abut either subject, you’ll find out his subpar knowledge is surface level at best. Seeing him agitated and blather his way out of the situation can be quite amusing.

3) Whatever genuine kindness Gilbert possesses is mainly manifested when it comes to children and the hopelessly downtrodden, whom he actually seems to have a genuinely wholesome rapport with.
