The Barbarian's rest: A visit from a butterly (For Aeri)

Oscar would snicker at Cassie's very dramatic reaction to the hair ruffling and her quip about wearing too much as he pulled his hand back.

"Oh- yeah, I can't say I'm big on the hentai matches either. That stuff just isn't my style"

The young lion nodded in agreement before his eyes widened at the mention of Honie.

"Yo! You had a match against Honie? That's awesome! We haven't met in person yet but she's a Twitter friend. Plus her buddy Antonia helps with my training"

When Cassandra whipped out the skittles though, that's when Oscar's eyes sparkle with delight, reaching out to take a packet.

"Ooo skittles! Dude, you're the best! Thanks!"

Cassandra shrugged.

“Not that I don’t enjoy watching them, I can’t just keep a straight face when I participate.. although I suppose thats the point. I’ve done a single hentai move.. like ONE, and got it sent to me so many times, I swearrr..”

She’d giggle lightly. She still insisted that the move she did completely on her own was “Alizeh’s fault, not mine”.

“Honie is cool. She picked me up after she knocked me out, and getting lifted in a bridal carry by that bee was like actually.. super comfortable. I’d snuggle with that bug if I could..

Oh, and Antonia? Yeah I dont actually.. know her.”

She’d lightly say, shrugging.

“Although I suppose its a matter of time, I beat Arachne, lost to Honie.. now I only have her left as a Battle Bug to face. Kinda funny, considering I’m an insect themed gal myself.. sometimes.”

She’d nod when she handed over the skittles, poking her hand on her cheek. She didn’t actually find herself fond of sweets anyways.

“You trainin with Antonia.. could you beat her?”

"Honie is someone I'd love to be like. It's not too often I see people who show sportsmanship in the ring. I can't say I've ever carried anyone out like that except for this one time with a debuting young lioness, but I always try to offer my opponents a hand up after"

Oscar smiled as he talked about Honie and hummed at the question about Antonia.

"That's a good question. I'm not terribly sure... I've only had the one session so far but I know she's a talented martial artist and one of the smartest people I know. Seriously- she makes her own tech. Real Sci-F looking stuff. I understand she's helped train up Honie too and is just as deadly with smothers as her. Seriously- she wouldn't stop smothering me because she found my face really soft"

Oscar chuckled at the memory, not terribly bothered by what the ant did.

"However, that training also helped me with enduring her smothers- even if she was holding back. Plus I understand some of her weaknesses, like her massive ego and how she gets flustered and angry really quick when something doesn't goes as it plans or she makes a mistake. She's a very skilled wrestler, but she's not undefeatable"

[Aeri]

"Honie IS nice, isnt she? I don't actually doubt you could carry people out. You could definitely carry me, but.. I doubt you could beat me first-.. in fact, I could probably carry YOU!"

She said, amused at hearing about the facesits.

"It.. is? I can.. kinda see it. I can definitely test it out if we ever do a bout!"

Oscar raised an amused eyebrow at Cassie

"Oh? Is that a challenge?"

The young lion opened up the skittles and would pop a few into his mouth, smirking at his newest friend.

"Alright... how about this? If you're soooo eager to find out, how about you be my first opponent when I'm out of here? After what happened to Drake, I have to prove to the higher-ups that I'm still fit to attempt to graduate from the young lions as I plan to at the end of the month. What do you say, you up for it?"

Oscar would offer his hand to Cassie, looking for a handshake to seal the deal.

[Aeri]

"Oh.."

Cassie thought about it. She thought for a second, before simply shrugging and grinning at the barbarian. She'd lightly nod, tossing her head back.

"Deal!"

Oscar blinked and awkwardly lowered his hand as it wasn't shaken, but seemed happy to hear that.

"Great! I'll be looking very forward to it. And just a heads up, don't think I'll be taking it easy on you just because you brought me flowers and skittles, alright?"

Oscar shot Cassie a friendly wink, the smirk staying on his face

She didn’t take the hand, because.. Cassie thought it was sticky with skittles. Yes, an absolutely reasonable reason for me missing that he had offered it. She’d smile at him, lightly booping his nose.

“Of course- I don’t mind you doing your worst.. cuz you can’t beat me!”

Oscar adorably scrunched his face up as Cassie booped his nose before snickering at the woman.

"Ha! I love that additude! Alright, it's a done deal. Once I'm out of this hospital and given the green light, we'll throw down. I'll be looking very forward to it!"

[Aeri]

“Deal!”

She’d take his hand in both of her smaller ones and shake violently. Cassie grinned at Oscar, but suddenly her phone beeped. She’d look at the time and sigh.

“This has been fun, but I gotta go! I’ll visit you again later, so be a good boy till I come back!”

She’d pick her coat up, toss it over her shoulders and with a wave and a swish, she left.
