Miranda Tomi vs Shinobu Miyama

Unread post by Fairy Dragon »

Standard match

Miranda really wasnt sure about her matches anymore. One day they were giving her an opponent she had a breath of a chance against and the next she was facing off with someone that they clearly didnt intend for her to beat even on her best day. Shed called her family to tell her how she was doing cause thankfully they didnt watch the show itself, and though she fabricated how well things were going she did feel slightly more motivated by the pep talk they offered her. She needed to get out of this slump herself and knew that the minute she let her enthusiasm die, she had lost. And if anything she could spite that by continuing to do her best.

Her best was her usual antics in the beginning of the match. Coming out to an applause as she smiled and started her traditional dances to the crowd. Refusing to let herself be torn down by her troubles as she showed none of the previous sadness plaguing her.

Finishing up in the ring waved to the approving crowd and took a bow. Actually feeling abit happier then when she walked in afterwards, and with it a bigger boost of confidence to her chances in this match.

Miranda's opponent didn't play to the crowd as she did. There was no dancing, no poses, she didn't even look in their direction. Indeed, Shinobu didn't pay even the slightest amount of attention to them as she approached the ring. It was probably for the best: she wasn't nearly as popular as the opposition. She came out to a chorus of boos and crude yells, her attire in particular seem to rile the crowd up into a frenzy.

Shinobu simply walked on, treating the crowd with the disdain she believed they deserved. All that mattered was that they were paying attention to her: what kind of it was attention was irrelevant.

As she climbed into the ring, her gaze fell to her opponent. While she regarded Miranda with more fondness than she did the wretched masses that made up the audience that night, it was clear that she didn't think much of the rookie. Resting with back against the turnbuckle, Shinobu folded her arms under her breasts as she silently glared at Miranda, waiting for the bell to ring.

The sharp contrast between the way Mira carried herself to the ring and the way her opponent didnt was rather jarring. Mira put alot of effort into her entrance while her opponent put almost none, she didnt even bat an eye at the fans at all. It was almost like to her they didnt even exist. Mira looked at her oddly but she shook her head at that. Who was she to judge how someone else carried herself? If she didnt want to dance and smile she didnt really have to.

"Hi there! Nice to meet you." The dancer said offering a hand to the girl in question as she hoped to get off on the right foot, hopefully this girl wasnt angry at something or anything, and maybe there was something she could do to be nice to her. Afterall just because they were opponents didnt mean they had to hate each other.

Shinobu merely stared at Miranda as she offered her hand. While to everyone watching and probably Miranda herself it seemed as if Shinobu disliked or even hated her, it wasn't really the case. In her own way, Shinobu liked her. A little. Maybe. If she didn't, Miranda would've been the recipient of a vicious kick for having the audacity of getting close to her. Even so, she didn't accept her hand. Shinobu was not fond of physical displays of affection, even ones as simple as a handshake.

"You don't look like you stand much of a chance. Give up, before you get hurt. I won't go easy on you." Shinobu said bluntly. Unfortunately, that was about the nicest thing purple-haired misanthrope could manage to say. Her people skills and tact were absolutely nonexistent. If Miranda didn't back off, she would raise her arms offering Miranda a lock-up to start the match.

Once again her efforts to be nice were getting rebuked. The nicest thing she could say was that she wasnt punished for her efforts as the girl dndt even spare her a kind gesture as she instead attempted to just tell her she didnt have a chance of winning. Which was kinda rude considering Mira was technically the more experience gal here, to her knowledge anyway.

"W-Well...what would be the point of that? you haven't seen me wrestle yet." Mira added perplexed as she backed up when it was clear the girl had no intention of actually being polite or shaking her hand plus they needed to do so to get the match started. Mira looked at the girl with rather surprised eyes as the bell rang and she started to move around looking for the best chance to get her off guard. Though she was also curious to see how Shinobu started things off.

It was true, Shinobu had never met nor seen Miranda wrestle. But Shinobu knew, or at least thought she knew, that there was no way someone as nice as the dancing Hawaiian could beat someone like her. Even so, Shinobu didn't respond to Miranda. As soon as the match started, she was razor focused on the task at hand.

Shinobu was a cautious and defensive wrestler, especially early in matches but it seemed Miranda also shared that trait. The two circled each other for a while, both trying to spot the slightest gap in the others attention so they could catch the other off guard. In the end, Shinobu decided to make a start, getting closer before throwing out a feint kick, to see how she would react. If Miranda flinched, she would try and close in on her and lock up with her. If not, she would simply back off and continue to circle her, to see if she could find any weaknesses she could exploit.

As the match started to get underway Mira waited for her chance to strike as she looked at the girl who was taking a similar slow and steady approach to this match. The girl had her hands out and slowly reaching towards Shinobu in hopes to slowly get some kind of lock up and catch her in some move she had under her sleeve. Though it didnt come easy when the girl tried to kick her.

Mira was quick to react trying to move her leg back to avoid the kick, which turned out to be a feint as the girl charged her. Mira didnt have time to fully react, instead attempting something similar as she would try and go for a kick to her leg to stop her as her hands feebly went up in an effort to push her away from grabbing her.

While it seemed Shinobu had caught her opponent off balance, she was quicker than she seemed. Her grapple attempt was stifled by Miranda pushing her away and managing to clip her with a low kick. While it wasn't enough to do any real damage, it forced Shinobu to back off which brought them back to where they were at the start of the match.

The red-eyed heel hissed in irritation, clearly not happy about the turn of events. Going on the offensive at the start of the match had taken her out of her comfort zone and Mira was proving to be more challenging than she expected. She decided to channel her displeasure in a more productive manner: by throwing out a vicious kick to Mira's midsection! Despite performing the move out of anger, she still didn't perform it recklessly. If her foe managed to use those quick reflexes of hers to catch her leg instead of blocking or avoiding it, she would respond by twisting in her grip to deliver an enzuigiri to her head! She was going to do her best to show Mira that she meant business!

Her kick worked and Shinobu was forced to back up, keeping her from being overwhelmed by her charge, even if it was by a rather flimsy bit of instinct. For her it showed she had some semblance of an understanding in this ring. Something she needed to improve on later. Though the girl didnt seem all that fazed by it and began moving around some more for another opening. And it wasnt long before she felt the girl moving in with another burst of speed before sending a kick to her gut.

"Auugh!" The dancer screamed as her abs were struck by the kick, her hands going to her belly as she tried to grab the girls leg to keep it from moving away from her. Her belly was pretty tight but that didnt prevent any pain as she tried to come up with something else before she felt Shinobu jump and go for a quick enziguri kick to her head. "AAGG!" Miranda's head shot to the side as she staggered and fell down to her but holding to the side of her head where she was struck.

Shinobu's plan worked even better than she had hoped. Both of her kicks had connected solidly and Mira was down on the mat. The vicious heel allowed herself a smirk of satisfaction as she took control of the match. Getting up from the ground where her enzuigiri left her, Shinobu moved over to where the dancer lay and roughly grabbed the wrist of the hand that clutched her head. Then she attempted to try to apply a painful wristlock!

If she managed to apply the wristlock she would try to force her opponent into a standing position while continued to twist her wrist, trying to keep the arm fully extended. If Mira didn't escape, Shinobu would try and work the wrist some more by slowly turning around while twisting her opponent's arm above her head, giving the arm an agonizing wrench!
