Ogata Akiko (D) vs Svetlana Zynski

Akiko's kick connected, even harder than she anticipated which in her position was not good. Her movement came to a sudden hold with the impact and threw her off balance as one of her hands slipped. In an attempt to save the look of the situation, she would manage to tuck her shoulder in and go into a roll away from Svetlana followed by a spin on her back and a kick up finished with a three-point landing. The whole sequence looked quite impressive but it also took time, enough time that her opponent could have recovered from the last attack.

Svetlana was sitting up, trying to get back to her feet while Akiko was doing something, showing off maybe? Svetlana wasn't sure but she was looking to be every bit the inexperienced rookie people made her out to be. Svetlana tried again to move in and grapple with Akiko if she could, hoping to use her strength and position to lock in a standing side headlock, sending a few hard punches to the face of Akiko in this position to return the favor for the devastating kick.

Her slip-up after the kick was proving to be a costly one as Akiko found herself struggling and failing to resist the side headlock. Svetlana grabbed a firm hold of her and what came next sent a jolt of pain throughout the Japanese fighter's head as Akiko cried out in pain from each thunderous strike that she was helpless to defend herself from. soon enough she would sag in her opponent's hold, defenceless from whatever she planned next.

Svetlana held the headlock for a few more seconds before letting go rolling Akiko onto her stomach. Svetelana stood over her from behind, grabbing Akiko around the waist. The grappler from Poland grunted as she lift Akiko right off the mat and into the air, deadlifting Akiko up and over for a German suplex! Svetlana was giving this her all looking to do as much as she could while building up her own momentum!

Akiko started to push up from the mat just as she felt arms wrap around her waist. "Oh no." She would manage to get out before she would end up being lifted off the ground and sent flying with a suplex. A loud smack erupted upon her landing, her legs flying over her head as she would stay in that position, groaning slightly in pain before trying to roll to her side.

Svetlana sent Akiko crashing to the mat and as she got back to a kneeling position she saw that she had Akiko in a great position for a hold right in the middle of the ring! Svetlana rolled Akiko into a sitting position before sitting behind her, her strong legs clamping down around Akiko's body to crush her torso with a body scissor while pulling Akiko's head back and wrapping her arm around the front of her throat to lock in a dragon sleeper! Svetlana wanted to cause Akiko's torso pain with her body scissor while her arm cut off Akiko's air supply in the two pronged hold!

Akiko gasped for air that was quickly becoming more and more scarce, she had to think of something fast. First instinct was to reach Svetlana's arm and try to pry it lose but in the current position, it was unlikely to do much as such Akiko would try to roll to her belly and pick herself up with her opponent still on her before backing up with as much speed as she could into the corner to slam the polish fighter against it.

Svetlana felt Akiko rising but she kept squeezing trying to do all the could with her hold! She was impressed with the power of her opponent but as they moved backward Svetelana was smashed back-first into the turnbuckle! "Oomph!" Svetlana groaned as she let go. She tried to raise her forearm up and smash the upper back of Akiko before shoving her away, hoping to salvage as much as she could from her current position sending Akiko away to allow Sevetlana to reset herself.

Akiko reached her hands to her own throat after being released, the forearm smashing her back and coaxing a yelp out of her. The shove that came after made her stumble forward and almost fall though it was a relief that it happened instead of another hold. Akiko would stabilize and turn to Svetlana, taking a few steps and breathing heavily as she tried to make up for lost air. She would simply stare at her opponent for a few moments before rushing in with an attempt at a flying knee to Svetlana's stomach!

Akiko took time to recover and Svetlana did the same still in the corner. She saw Akiko coming and knew that the last place she wanted to be was her current location. As Akiko was a few steps away Svetlana rolled hard to the side leaving Akiko to fly knee first into the corner! Svetlana wanted to keep an eye on Akiko making sure her miscue caused her some pain and gave Svetlana a proper opening to act as opposed to rash moving in to a potentially compromising situation.
