A Dark Singles Debut! - Dhalia DuBlanc (Debut) vs Raquel Masters

Standing backstage, there was a somewhat dark vibe going throughout the bowels of the arena. And it was the cause of only one girl, who stood alone backstage. Dhalia DuBlanc. The goth girl had a smile on her face as she awaited her debut, and was noticeably alone while waiting to go out, the backstage crew giving her a wide birth. While she had only been in LAW for a short time, she had already managed to build a reputation as exceedingly cruel, and now even the crew steered clear of her, for fear of being targeted.

But Dhalia was simply too occupied with the thought of her match to want to harass any employees. For today, she was going to be in her first singles match in LAW. Dhalia, upon entering the promotion had immediately met up with her old friend and partner Maria, and had taken some time to just enjoy being a tag team again. However, Dhalia wasn't looking for her career in LAW to be just as a tag team, as fun as teaming with her friend was. She was also here to make a name for herself as a singles competitor.

And today would be that day. Finally getting called to the curtain, Dhalia was told that it was her time to go out, and as the announcer called her name, she slowly made her way out to the ramp. The crowd was a bit familiar, booing the cruel goth as they recalled her tag team matches, but it didn't matter to Dhalia. Clad in her silver and blue outfit, flip-flopping colors with purple frills around the edge and her facepaint applied, she would walk down slowly, giving the audience a sly grin, despite their booing.

Sliding into the ring, Dhalia noticed how the announcer and ref backed away from her, which caused a brief chuckle from her, before they continued to speak. As they did, Dhalia slowly walked back over to her corner, seemingly a bit bored as she watched the ramp, waiting for her foe to arrive, eager to meet the girl she'd be tormenting today.

Raquel was excited, she hadn't been in a match in a long time and was beyond ready to get back in the ring. She came bouncing out as her music played, the Bostonian woman shouting as she held a hand high as she strut down the ramp! "Hey Tokyo! Let's do this, woooooo!"

Raquel was excited and it showed as she smiled all the way down to the ring! She jumped up into the apron in one bound and then r igbt over the ropes in another! Raquel looked at Dhalia and smiled. "Let's blow the roof off this place!" Raquel said as she stood in the center of the ring, looking over Dhalia as she waited for the bell to ring.

As her foe bounded out onto the ramp, Dhalia looked on with a raised eyebrow, the smirk she wore not leaving her face. So, this was her opponent, huh? A loud, excited girl, skipping down the ramp towards her, looking happy to be here as she waved to the crowd, hyping them up. The audience cheered her loudly, and she was sure playing up to the crowd, hopping around a yelling to them. But Dhalia didn't care.

As her opponent entered the ring, she met the goth with a smile, standing in the corner opposite from her. At her words, Dhalia stared her opponent down, letting out a slight giggle.

"Heh. Well, aren't you adorable. Believe me sweetie, we're going to have a match you'll never forget." Dhalia said, giving Raquel an eerie smile, getting down into a ready position.

Raquel found that smile to be a bit unnerving. She crouched at a ready position and circled as the bell rang! She eyed Dhalia and watched for movements. She had to be ready for anything. Both women were of smilier size and Raquel was always down to test her strength against a lightweight especially since she was at the heavier range for the division, as well as more muscular than most lightweights.

Raquel lunged in, trying to wrap up Dhalia in a collar and elbow tie up! She wanted to grab hold and put all her power into rushing Dhalia back into a corner as hard as she could!

As Dhalia approached her foe, she could see Raquel looking a bit uneasy, but the girl quickly shook it off, getting ready to go, before charging towards the goth. Dhalia brought her arms up, and she and her foe crashed into one another, locking up in a traditional collar and elbow lock up, both girls straining against one another.

However, after a few moments, it became clear that Raquel had the strength advantage over her foe, and was starting to push Dhalia back. She was bigger than Dhalia, but that didn't mean Dhalia was just going to let her shove the goth into a corner. With a sly smile, Dhalia would quickly raise her foot, before slamming it down on Raquel's hoping that the sudden stomp will allow her to get the advantage!

Raquel strained and made progress before a sudden sharp pain in her feet interrupted that! She let out a yell and stumbled back, Dhalia pushing her over and landing on top of her!

"Ngh... that was cheap!" Raquel shouted as she tried to shove Dhalia off of herself, hoping to make it back up to her feet before Dhalia could inflict more pain!

As her stomp was successful, her opponent let out a loud, piercing shriek, falling backwards and landing on the mat with a thud, with Dhalia falling on top. The goth quickly took a seated position on her opponents stomach, looking down into her eyes with an evil gaze.

"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry! It was an accident!" She said with a heaping of sarcasm, before bursting into a laugh, already showing her evil side. Dhalia wasn't here to play by the rules, and since her foe was bigger than her, she was willing to use every dirty trick in the book to beat and humiliate her foe here today!

As Raquel's hands shot up to give her a hard shove in the chest, Dhalia quickly attempted to snatch one of her arms, hoping to slide off to the side and quickly yank her arms down between her legs, locking the girl in an armbar if everything worked out!

Well things went from bad to worse! Raquel felt herself grabbed and thrown in an armbar, although she was able to roll into it, using her free arm and roll toward Dhalia to alleviate some of the pressure as she grasped her hands together. Raquel tried to get her legs underneath her to support herself. The armbar still hurt, but she had taken measure stop prevent it from being tap-out painful.

"Nice try you bitch...." Raquel said although the transition from shove to armbar had shown impressive awareness as well as technique on the part of Dhalia. Raquel would try to keep her position and use her legs to spin them on the mat. If she could keep this up and reach a foot to the ropes the hold wouldn't go on for too much longer, and given the potential damage this could do, the less time she spent stuck the better!

As Dhalia snatched up her foes hand, she quickly executed a sneaky maneuver, falling off to the side and bringing her legs up to lock in the armbar. However, her foe was a bit more deft than the goth had given her credit for. As Dhalia quickly went to wrench back on her arm, Raquel managed to roll over, locking her hands together to prevent herself from falling prey to the painful move. And as Dhalia tried to lock in, Raquel quickly stood up, pivoting the goth in order to circle to the ropes, able to get her foot on them, breaking the hold.

"Oh, aren't you cute. I promise, I'm going to break you down right here, and leave you a crying mess." Dhalia said, giving one final wrench on Raquel's arm, before rolling away from her, standing up and getting back into a ready stance.

Raquel was the bigger lady in the match, and she was ready to try to get her hands on Dhalia. Or, use her hands to clobber the woman whichever the case may be. Raquel rose up and saw Dhalia at the ready. Raquel went for the direct approach, not wasting any time as she rushed forward as quickly as she could, running straight at Dhalia. The Bostonian woman extended her arm and leapt forward trying to hammer Dhalia with a running lariat to try to make her mark in this match!

Raquel was strong for a lightweight, able to lift and use power more effectively than most middleweights of small or moderate size within that division. This would be a lovely taste of such power for Dhalia.. provided it connected!
