Between Rounds - LWS 2017 Interview: Elena Vandersteen/Katherine Hart

"Thanks, Tiff!" Kat would say when additional drinks were placed on the table. She'd look back at Elena and comment.

"Awesome. I'm glad she was nice enough to give you a breather when you needed. Are you trying to become a wrestler? Is that why you trained with Sanders?" Kat would say while reaching for the fresh beverage and taking another drink. The blonde would raise an eyebrow in anticipation of Vandersteen's response. Was LAW going to see it's first ever part-time interviewer/part-time wrestler?

Tiffany was surprised when the blond would say thanks as she muttered under her breath ''wow seems some of these wrestlers got manners'' as Elena would turn red. As she had heard the waitress comment , and hoped Katherine would not take any actions as she understood why the German woman was so angry.

''Well she mostly offered as I mentioned during our interview I feared to get attacked one day. As some of your colleges are not as friendly as you or Alaina , and would gladly beat me up for daring to ask a question they don't want to answer'' replied the redhead as she then took a sip from her drink.

Katherine hadn't yet picked up on the fact that some of the LAW patrons at the bar weren't anywhere near as nice as her. Just like anyone else that might have visited the establishment, she was simple there to eat and to vent after a long day and a hard fought match. She had just finished her first round tournament match against Susanna Kin. Having injured her opponent by accident, there was a lot that bore heavy on The Super Kitty's mind. It was why she accepted the interview with Elena in the first place, so that she could vent. But distracting herself by bringing up some talking about Elena was certainly helping.

"Oh? Has anyone threatened to beat you up for asking questions and doing your job?" Kat would say in a more serious tone.

"I might have to give them a piece of my mind for messing with you!"

Elena would just smile as she heard Kat ask if anyone had threatened her as she felt save when she heard the blond say that she would give anyone who would mess with her a piece of her mind. Still she knew that at the moment this had not happened yet ,but the stories she heard did cause her to worry for the moment it would happen. ''Well so far it has not happened yet.Still when you hear what some of your college's have done you understand why I worry. I mean have you ever heard of the belly queen. Well our waitress made the mistake of thinking her belt was not worth as much as one of LAw's belts , and ended up being beaten down while her staff watched on helpless to help her. So I will take all the help I get to avoid becoming as helpless a that when the situation does arise''replied the Belgium woman

"The mouthy girl running around with that fake belt? That wasn't a mistake, it was the truth. Kyoko just didn't want to hear it. She attacked some helpeless staff because she was insecure. That poorly thrown-together "belly" belt's a sideshow compared to even the least prestigious LAW titles. The fact that she beat up a helpless waitress for speaking up about it just shows how insecure Kyoko is." Katherine made an air quotes gesture to emphasize 'belly'. She spoke in a dismissive tone about the belt, and in her point of view, rightfully so.

The official LAW belts were being contended for on grand stages in Koraken Hall. The inaugural champions crowned after sorting through legions of fighters via tournaments. Katherine was someone upset that the Last Woman Standing tournament she entered happened to coincide with the Heavyweight Championship Tournament, but she was intent on pursuing that belt, even if she wouldn't be the very first LAW Heavyweight Champion.

After she told the blond what she heard had happened her she was expecting some kind of responds. However to hear Katherine dismiss Kyoto , and her belt like this was not what she had expected. Now most reporters would write down the comment , and be done with it as the redhead was certain this would cause the belly queen to issue an responds.

However that was not the kind of woman the Belgium reporter was as he would write down Kat's responds , and then reply back ''I think myself and the people who work here will be glad to hear this.However do you stand by what you said as I can put this down in our interview , and you would likely get into trouble with Kyoko in responds. So are you certain you want me to put this statement in your interview?''

Katherine would nod.

"Yeah I assumed we did the formalities already, but just so we're clear. Anything that we say to each other during your interviews,
you're free to broadcast and tell others as you see fit. What I've said about Kyoko or anyone else. The fact that I'm willing to defend you, how I feel about my matches or others, publish whatever you'd like. It'll help you as a journalist with your stories, and it'll help me as a wrestler since people will become more familiar with me."

Kat would place a finger on her chin before adding. "I don't think I'll come into any trouble with Kyoko. At all. But if she does come looking for anyone, I'd rather it be with someone like me, that can handle her. Rather than a hapless waitress at Seventh, Heaven. I'm sure you feel the same way, right, Elena?"

Elena would not write down anything until the blond was done talking as she was glad that Katherine felt this way. Still she hoped that Kyoto would go over the wrestler rather then herself when she read this interview.As she would write down exactly what Kat had just said as she fully agreed with the other woman as she was certain that she would not be the only one.

''I can honestly say that I fully agree with what your saying Kat , but I am sorry to say that if anyone were to come looking for trouble because of this interview I rather with they go after you then me.Just think a strong wrestler like you got a better chance of handling that kind of problem then a simple reporter''replied the Belgium in an teasing way.

Katherine would giggle at her report friend's response.

"Heheh, that's fine. You keep publishing big stories and kicking butt with these interview, alright? And I'll keep kicking butt in the ring!" Kat would say to the red head with a smile.

She'd reach into her pocket and pull out a pen before holding her hand out and asking for Elena's arm. "Let me have your hand for second, please." The masked blonde would say. If Elena complied and gave Katherine her hand, Kat would begin to write a number on the reporter's forearm.

"This is my personal cell number. The one I use for friends and family. If anyone ever comes after you for something that you published in an interview or otherwise, text or call. I'll be there for you." Hart would say with a wink.

''I can agree to that'' replied Elena right away , but was surprised when Kat would ask for her arm.After thinking about it for a few seconds she would extend her arm towards the masked blonde. The moment when the wrestler would start to write on her forearm did Elena understand why the other woman made the request. This simple gesture made her feel protected as she would just smile in responds as she replied back '''thanks for doing that as you made me feel protected''.
