A Steamy Time

"Your from Toronto? Hey same as Emma!"

Hiro let out a laugh. Then when Fang asked where Hiro was from, he went silent for a bit before clearing his throat.

"Oh...well...I don't usually like talking about where I'm from..."

All of a sudden Hiro's voice was very serious and sad as he looked down at the water.

"If you want to know...I was fucking bullshit...Mother was gone when i was born...Father would constantly hit me with a glass bottle and blames me for my mother's passing...I became a petty thief...went to jail a lot when I was 13..."

Hiro then realized he had been rambling a bit as he tries to composure himself and take a deep breath.

"Sorry...I guess the short answer is...I forgot...so many bad memories and I just tried to forget and move on..."

Fang’s expression turned from curiosity to sad, like she was regretting asking that question. She saw Hiro’s expression turn to something she had not seen from him; despite them only recently getting acquainted with each other.

“I’m….so sorry to hear that.” Fang said with a genuine sad tone as she placed right in his left hand to show some support; even if it was little considering that it could not undo one’s past.

“And I’m sorry that you had to recount that.” Fang continued, trying to be reassuring to Hiro.

Hiro felt Fang's hand touch his hand as he jolted up and sat straight.

"Oh! You don't need to apologize. I shouldn't have rambled on like that!"

He tried to laugh it off before looking down at Fang's hand, blushing hard right now.

Fang gave an affirming, yet gentle squeeze to Hiro’s hand, to show the genuine feeling she was expressing.

“Well, if you want, we can talk about something else.” Fang said to Hiro.

"Oh yeah sure...so Fang...what is it do you like to do in your free time?"

Hiro would ask as he tried to start another conversation that doesn't evolve anything more about his past and instead something he can remember about Fang.

Fang nodded as she still held onto Hiro’s hand. In response to Hiro’s question, Fang answered, “ There are a lot of things I enjoy doing. I enjoy swimming and simple walks. I also like to read, watch movies and play video games.”

She did shift a bit closer to Hiro, engaged in the conversation, “How about you?”

"well if im not working out my body and Training for a bout I would say I mostly sit around and play a lot of fighting games. My favorite game being the Tekken franchise...next to street fighter and soul caliber."

Hiro answered with an excited glee on his voice.

"You have any favorite games that you play?"

It was Hiro's turn to ask as he would sit comfortably next to Fang.

"I have played a bit of Tekken before, but for fighting games, I played Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive." Fang responded to Hiro's question, "I had done some Street Fighter, but it was only a couple of times with a friend. Never had the game myself." She still held Hiro's hand as they continued to converse.

"Those are just a few games that I play." Fang continued, continuing to show interest in talking with Hiro.

hmm...intresting choice of fighting games though...its kinda been a while since i played Dead or Alive. You definitely have the part to look like a character in that game Fang."

Hiro chuckled as all he could ever think about that game was the jiggle physics and...hot choices of characters as he shyly looked away at Fang.

"Oh?" Fang said with a slight chuckle, "And what would make me look the part for a character in that series?" She leaned a little bit closer, picking up more and more that Hiro was interested in her.

"I could definitely see you having the skills to be in a fighting game." Fang said to Hiro.
