Lauren vs. Yukino: Apex Qualifier

With the wind knocked out of her lungs by the impact of Lauren's clothesline, Yukino was left coughing and gagging, desperately trying to draw back in enough breath to carry her through the rest of the match. She knew she needed to get back up, that it was too dangerous down here - and yet, no matter how hard she tried to push her body to respond, doing her best to shove off the mat to try and lift herself to her feet, she couldn't bring herself to do so; each time she got close, her stamina gave out and she dropped onto her back. But there, as Yukino gasped for air, she looked up to see a truly frightening sight - Lauren was hurling herself off the ground, her elbow extended to crash into her!

The very sight of such a manuever caused the white-haired girl to scream in terror. She had used this move herself earlier in the match - but of course, when it was coming from a woman of Lauren's size, it would hit much harder! Sure enough, the heavyweight's elbow buried itself in Yukino's gut, causing her to let loose another scream as her legs kicked up into the air. She fell back in a daze; she had practically been knocked out then and there. But Lauren wasn't done yet - she rolled to Yukino's side, locking her arm in place around her temples!

Yukino was shaken back to her senses as she found the crushing pressure coming down around her skull. She wanted to shake her head just to show some defiance, but she could barely budge! Clenching her teeth and hissing under her breath, she reached up to grab at Lauren's arm, hoping that she could push it away at least a little. Her vision was swimming, but she wasn't about to stop. She hadn't come this far to lose everything now!

Lauren felt Yukino struggling in the headlock and she opted to try to halt that. Lauren balled up her left fist and sent a few hard punches to the head of Yukino while she was trapped! "No easy escape for you!" Lauren said as she landed a few more punches squeezing away at Yukino. Lauren didn't want to have Yukino escape any time soon she had to sap her more before moving on to something else. Slow the pace, hit hard, and grind down the smaller speedy wrestler.

The pressure bearing down around Yukino's head was unbearable. It felt like at any moment, her skull could burst like a grape - but she was still determined to break free, no matter what it would take! With her teeth clenched tighter to steel herself, the idol grabbed for Lauren's arm, putting all her might into her efforts to pry it off of her. She needed to show the world - and in no small part, Kira Kusangi - that she deserved to be taken seriously as a wrestler. If she was going to lose to someone like Lauren, who hardly had the most esteemed reputation in the company, it would only keep her down!

But Lauren was prepared for that, too. While Yukino fought desperately to try and force her way out of the heavyweight's grasp, Lauren swung a volley of punches straight into her head! For as often as Lauren lost, she could still hit hard - a fact Yukino was quickly becoming aware of, as her fist hit her like a truck. She screamed in pain, letting go of Lauren's arm as she sank back against the headlock; her body dangled limp in her clutches.

Lauren had just punched and squeezed on Yukino quite a bit, and Lauren did let go of the hold. As she got up she pulled Yukino up to her feet as well. Lauren looked to wrap an arm around Yukino's head while grabbing the waist of her wrestling attire. Lauren wanted to lift her up and hold her vertical for a moment to show off before hoping to send Yukino crashing to the mat with a delayed vertical suplex! Lauren was trying to make the ring shake with this one, looking to keep on top of Yukino and prevent the smaller wrestler from getting mobile.

Yukino did her best to fight back, but Lauren wasn't going to make it any easier for her. She began throwing punches and squeezes of her own, trading the white-haired girl for every hit she landed, and eventually, Yukino simply couldn't keep up. With her head in Lauren's clutches, the pressure steadily building, her stamina was flagging and her eyes were glazing over - and it didn't help her whenever Lauren clobbered her full in the face, either! Eventually, her own attempts at resisting began to fade, and she slumped limp and heavy against her opponent's body. Lauren would let go then...but only as long as she needed to in order to pull Yukino back up, swinging her off her feet and turning her upside down for a vertical suplex!

Yukino shook herself back to her senses just in time to see herself being suspended high above the mat, and she let out a scream when she realized the fate about to befall her. But it was too late to do anything about it! As soon as the idol saw where she was, Lauren swung her down through the air in an arc, where Yukino met the mat with a loud thud, the ring shaking against her collision. She had tried her best to brace herself for the impact, but there was only so much she could do. Now, her whole body felt numb, and she lay groaning as she tried to shake enough cobwebs out of her head to try and get away.

Lauren knew that was a solid impact and after landing she rolled over on top of Yukino, laying across her chest while reaching down to hook a leg! Lauren was pinning Yukino and the official slid in to place to begin the count with the smiling Lauren looking confident. The crowd booed a bit and Lauren shouted back to them. "Oh shut up, just because I am not young and thin doesn't mean I can't wrestle!"

The official began the pin count and Lauren nodded each time their hand hit the mat.

"ONE!"

The suplex had practically driven all the air out of Yukino's lungs. She lay plastered to the ground, her eyes rolled back in the head and her mouth lolling open in a gape as her chest rose and fell with pants for breath. She knew she had to get up, she knew she had to keep fighting. But she could barely manage that right now - and Lauren was already on the move, falling on top of Yukino to hook her leg!

"TWO!!"

Yukino let out another groan as a shudder ran through her body from head to toe. She could barely feel her own body, and she struggled to so much as bring the muscles in her leg to move. But then, it hit her - she was about to lose, to Lauren! She was trying to claw her way to a place of esteem and respect, and losing to an opponent who hadn't had the most impressive showing despite all the time she'd spent in LAW would only set her back. No matter how much it hurt, Yukino simply refused to let that happen! Her teeth clenched in defiance as she tried to draw on all the strength she could!

"THR-NO!!"

Just as the referee's hand was about to come down a third time, Yukino's hips bucked, and she kicked her way out of the pin! The crowd let out a cheer, seeing the fan-favorite idol showing the strength she needed to fight back. On her hands and elbows, Yukino crawled back a short distance from Lauren, trying to get out from under her while she recovered...but even if she had escaped from this predicament, she still didn't have much left in her; the air had been driven from her lungs, and her body was sore. Even now, she had to stop and pant for breath. Could she make it?

Lauren felt Yukino kick out and she slapped the canvas thinking she had just gotten a quick win. "Damn... gonna have to keep on doing what I do I guess..." Lauren said. She tried to pull Yukino up to her feet as the crowd was urging Yukino on. Lauren wanted to scoop her up and slam her down as hard as she could before flexing her biceps and strutting about. "You know you can cheer for me too just because I don't fit a certain look doesn't mean I'm not a big bad lady in the ring!" Lauren shouted to the booing crowd.

The impact with the mat had winded her, and all the air had been emptied out of Yukino's lungs. She was desperate to get away - she knew she had to keep her head in the game, and it was simply too dangerous to stick around Lauren when the heavyweight surely had more in store for her. If she could just get to the ropes, she thought, she could buy herself the time she needed to get up. But her chest rose and fell with haggard pants, and her face was red from breathlessness. Yukino's fatigue was slowing her down - and it was slowing her down just long enough for Lauren to grab her before she could reach safety!

Suddenly, Yukino felt Lauren grab hold of her - and she let out a yelp as she was dragged up to her feet, standing on unsteady footing. She teetered back and forth, reaching out for something to stabilize her, but she already knew what was worse was yet to come - now that Lauren had her at her mercy, she certainly wouldn't hold back. The Winter Idol could hear the fans calling out for her, but not even that motivation could stir her to action at a time like this - Lauren scooped her off the ground, slamming her right back down into the canvas!

Yukino landed with a thud, shaking the ring around her as she let out a scream. She pulled the canvas down beneath her weight as she sank low, her eyes glazed over and her arms and legs splayed out at her sides. If the first fall was bad enough, this one had hit her while she was already sore, and it had practically knocked her into a daze, leaving the world spinning. This time, she couldn't even find the will in her to lift a finger. She clenched her teeth; she looked over with her heart racing and sweat running down her brow - she couldn't lose, not like this. Not to Lauren. And yet, as she fought to will some motion, any motion, into a body that wouldn't cooperate, it seemed like she had no choice...

Nashi was dancing trying to get the crowd on Yukino’s side! It worked but at a cost”YUKINO!” Nashi called out beginning to tear me up as Lauren was mocking her friend as she was beating her up. Nashi thought it was over but Yukino found a way to break the pin”HEY LAUREN!” Nashi called out to her”You and you’re flabby partner and go back to the 60’s where that outfit belongs! And the reason the crowd favors Yukino is because she’s the sweetest person in the whole world!” she shouted trying to distract Lauren to give Yukino enough time for a come back!
